Assuming the world doesn't fall apart first.. I'm preparing for the Missouri Amateur. Qualifier is June 6th at Twin Oaks in Springfield. Once through qualifying, the main tournament is held at Bellerive CC in St Louis, MO (Home of 2018 PGA Championship). I have been very close to qualifying multiple times, and really hope to get over the hump this year! Thank you for the great video!
All I have to say is THANK YOU I am a freshman golfer on my teams varsity team I used your tips and took 4th place out of 64 golfers. Thank you I recommend this Chanel to any golfer that wants to play in advanced tournaments.
Useful tips....I've incorporated some meditation at the house before I go to the course. I envision playing a really bad hole and I envision calmly dealing with the problem and solving it as best as I can. I envision playing a so-so hole that I hit some bad shots but minimized the damage and envision playing the next hole with more confidence....and finally, I envision playing a hole where I'm nervous and fight thru the nerves and really play it outstandingly well. I try to feel, smell and see everything in my head of how each thing would feel. It really has helped my mental game so when I get to the course I'm already pretty locked in to a good head space. My tournament I'm prepping for is the "Estrella Shootout" at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona.
got 3 planned and 2 registered Im playing tomorrow with Next Gen Golf for a scramble, then 2 PAT spots 1 late June another. Idk, thinking September, depending on finance I may push for another in October.
Great question, might post in a future video! In meantime, this cycle repeats so round 2 is like a new tournament that requires same prep but now you have instant feedback from round 1. Round 1 could be considered a practice round for Round 2! So grind it out regardless what happens that first day.
During a practice round at a course you’ve never played that would be a good strategy. Then pick the top 14 clubs that make sense after you’ve thoroughly vetted all your options. Hope that helps!
Ryan, I tend to get excited the night before a tournament which leads to bad sleep. Any advice you can give to get better sleep the night before a tournament?
It’s due to excitement and can be managed. Before you go to sleep, mentally play the course you’re going to play, hole by hole. When you visualize your round, it will help you feel more confident and relaxed.
Ryan - Did you forget your shoes and socks? I don't know how many times I've given someone a pair of socks out of my kits or even loaned them my shoe (if they fit).
How has this guy not got more followers his videos are so good !

1:17 So basically just bring all clubs to every course so that whichever course requires a certain club then you can pick the right club.
