Awesome video thank you very much! Yes I am playing in as many tournaments as possible. Primarily in North Carolina and florida. Hope to play a tournament with you and meet you in person someday!
Great video, playing in my first golf tournament next weekend. Fourth year playing and around a 5 handicap. Trying not to roll the first ball off the tee!
thanks so much for this! playing in my first tournament this weekend as a 12 handicap and this helps a a lot. playing my home course, 36 hole stroke play, super pumped!
Great content Kennie. I will continue to work on my game and play more, so I can compete in tournaments in my area. I’ve played in group tournaments like Texas scramble, but not individual competition.
Hey Kennie, this video is just what I needed! Just signed up to play in the Amateur Players Tour in the Myrtle Beach area.. and this definitely helped calm some nerves. Keep up the solid content, definitely earned a subscription 🙌🏼
Same for me! Just signed up for a tournament next month, went out there for a practice round and swung like I had never touched a club before 😂 I got in my own head a ton so trying to prepare myself for the tournament environment. Thanks!
Hey Kennie, thanks for the video. My friends and I are doing a tournament these next 4 days, and I've never played one this video definitely helped me get ready. Also, its awesome you're also in Colorado. Maybe one day I'll run into you on the course and first round at the 19th is on me. Thanks again for the great video and keep up the good work.
Love the video. I have participated in two beginner tournaments on our small par-3 course to date. Thrid coming up tomorrow. Started HCP 72 and need to play down to HCP 58 to be able to play beginner tournaments on the large 18-hole course where I start HCP 72 again and have to play down to HCP 54 before I get my lincense :) I feel anxious that I'm never gonna get there, because I have played 17 and 25 points in the last two tournaments. I need to get 25 points tomorrow to get my HCP far enough down, to advance. Suggestion: for sound quality improvement, you can put some blankets or a duvet behind the recording device so your voice is not going past the microphone, but softly bouces back from the blanket/duvet. Of course a real recording microphone will improne it even more, but there are a lot of easy remedies you can create from pillows and such. (I dno if I'm late to the game here since the vid is 1 yr old, but still)
Congrats on the first tournament! You'll get there, just keep trusting the process and it will come. (Appreciate the feedback. I have 20ft ceilings and I don't like wearing lapel mics, but I might change that thought process soon)
@@KennieKatGolf in addition I had to start over after 4 weeks of practice since my PRO trainer figured out that I'm a left handed golfer and I started as a righty 😅
The GolfWeek Amateur tour is a good one. The golf channel amateur tour is another good one that’s regional and if you play to a pretty decent standard the Outlaw tour (it’s mostly for pros but they allow amateurs to compete).
Those are some good tips. I have not done any competitions with golf as of yey but I enjoy just getting out there and playing. Really my first year back after 10 years away from golf. I will look more into joining a league first. How did you end up playing in your first tourney? Awesome video as always
Yo Kennie just found your channel! I’d be down to tee it up with you if you want! Haven’t shot over 65 in two years, just a heads up. (I’m Cory’s brother btw, the other guy that commented)
Are you playing in any tournaments this year?
Awesome video thank you very much! Yes I am playing in as many tournaments as possible. Primarily in North Carolina and florida. Hope to play a tournament with you and meet you in person someday!

Even if you do.. it will be okay. Trust me. No one will care. We’ve all done it.
Just signed up for my city amateur championship. At 50. With no index and I shoot in the 90's. Gotta start somewhere I guess. Thank you for the tips.

Playing my 2nd golfweek amateur tournament tomorrow, this video was just what I need to hear. Preciate ya bro 💯
Glad I could help. Play well!

You can compete at any level and competition makes you better. Thanks for watching!

Is Be obsessed or be average a Grant Cardone reference? I love that book
Yes that is a Grant Cardone book reference.
Do you have to walk in the tournaments? Or do you use carts?
You can walk if you choose. Most people use carts. Most Arizona courses aren’t really designed to walk.
Kennie ! I’m local to the valley! I play stonecreek and continental all the time, let’s tee it up sometime
Thanks for reaching out. I mostly play in tournaments most weekends but when things get back to normal, sounds like a plan!
Which website do you recommend for finding tournaments. I usually only hear of scrambles not individual tournaments

I’m a +18 handicap give or take. Think I should entering as many as I should? 4th this year I think.
As long as you enjoy competing, keep at it!
+18???
