these 70s influenced bands are great. graveyard, witchcraft, black mountain, they are really making people pay attention to some great bands who never got their due the first time like pentagram/saint vitus. there is a fantastic doc called such hounds such hawks about this style of music-sleep, kyuss, pentagram, wino (and various bands he;'s been in) just awesome stuff.
People, you need to know it can take years before you truly appreciate Black Mountain. They grow over time, like a mighty tree. They are the best rock band of the last 10 years. Fuzz Cosmos Revelation Folk Reverberation.
I love heavy music and I love John Bonham! But I'm so glad they posted this video of this music. It's alternative, independent, lo-fi; and that's the charm. The attempt at shamanism, which invites you to groove alternatively. The music's under-produced, the vid's under-produced.. there's a natural whatever happens is 'what happens' energy to it. in a world of slick consumerist objects in art.. i like the ruff edges + the 'take it as it is'. I LOVE STUFF LIKE THIS. Sh*ve the slick stuff.
No, you don't Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe High up on the sun The howlin' ones High up on the sun Flower, flower train That won't bring you home So we can come together Yeah, we can come together No, you don't Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe High up on the sun The haunted ones Howlin' in your head "Yeah, it's a broken scene" That won't bring you home But we could come together Yeah, we could come together No, you don't Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe High up on the sun The howlin' ones High up on the sun Flower, flower train That won't bring you home No, you don't Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe
Just discover this video this morning... afternoon, evening ? (morning is when i wake up, lol)... Very interesting and the song is good ! Love the dark side with beautiful sound ! Tks !
indeed have not heard any screaming j Hawkins in a while this song by Black Mountain is the collest thing i hae heard in a long time nice how they give the feel of older groups Velvet underground, Sugarcubes ...) while still sounding totally original and the smooth to raw transitions are flawless which is harder to pull off than you would think without sounding forced 5/5 for sure
very 60's sounding..i love it! those puking negative comments on here obviously don't appreciate the sounds that started and kept Rock-n-Roll going. respect it or shut up and back to listening to you bubble gum cookie cutter crap!
PS - anything with a saguaro cactus in it wins me over every time. That 'Borderland' between here and there feel. Yup.. even seeing it twice.. I like it better.
I've listened to these guys for a while, but just heard this song on Sons of Anarchy the other night. (Just started watching..season two I believe.) Surprised to hear it..pleasantly surprised..
Grass, alkochol, Sex - This is the first association after hearing that song. MEGA departure ... Gras, alkochol, Sex Dies ist die erste Assoziation nach Anhörung dieses Lied. MEGA Abreise ... Trawa, alkochol, seks to pierwsze skojarzenie po wysłuchaniu tej piosenki. MEGA wylot ...
This band ages like wine. Haven't heard them in a min but they have so many awesome songs. Way underrated.
God, it's been forever since I heard this last. This was my frying music when I was a kid in my 20's.

I must enjoy this so much as I am a longtime Doors fan, I hear the influences, and yet I hear other influences from the stoner rock scene...
No, you don't
Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe
High up on the sun
The howlin' ones
High up on the sun
Flower, flower train
That won't bring you home
So we can come together
Yeah, we can come together
No, you don't
Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe
High up on the sun
The haunted ones
Howlin' in your head
"Yeah, it's a broken scene"
That won't bring you home
But we could come together
Yeah, we could come together
No, you don't
Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe
High up on the sun
The howlin' ones
High up on the sun
Flower, flower train
That won't bring you home
No, you don't
Ever wanna get some place where you cannot believe

O Teclado lembra muito The Doors ...
É uma banda de rock psicodélico, nada mais justo do que beber um pouco da fonte dos melhores
