They are basically the same openers, the main difference is that you late leave Kunai's bane as much as possible. This will allow you to fit another Raiton in a Kunai's bane window which is more damage than a normal GCD. Extended openers should be easy if already play NIN you just have to get the timing down on Kunai's bane so you know how far you can push it without clipping. unless you want to go ultra sweaty, you don't need to do extended, just the normal 4th or 3rd GCD opener is fine enough. The only set back with the 4th gcd opener is that you have to drift Dokumori by one GCD on the first one minute because if you don't kunai's bane drifts kinda far from Dokumori.
