Hi Allan, Bob Holepit here. I have been born and raised in the hometown of The Great Don Knott's. I love your wonderful show and I thank you for keeping the Andy Griffith show going for all to see. Thank you again for allowing us to revisit to the best town in America, Mayberry. Morgantown Bob
Bob, I am from Indiana and serve as a pastor in Central Pennsylvania and have heard that West Virginia eats the most fried food. As Jim Gaffigan has said, "It was then I realized that I found my people".
Though Ford did provide a lot of cars and trucks for the series, there were a lot of other brands in the show besides a VW often spotted in the background. The mayors Cadillac, Gilly Walker's Rambler, Jim Lindsay's Mercedes Benz, the new doctor's Jaguar, Howard Sprague's Chevy Biscayne, Keevy Hazelton's Excalibur, Bobby Fleet's Cadillac limousine, and Floyd's Pontiac just to name a few.
