Speed duel is really underrated, its basically the only format that is newcomer friendly and appeals to the older fanbase as well.
And yet we still hear the old fan base that the game is to complicated to get back into
Yeah this is yugioh from my era. No extra monster zones,link monsters,pendulum and stupid stuff. This is when any monster was summoned in the normal monster zone. Love so many of these carfs

Yeah it’s a big addition. I mean 193 new cards just dumped into Speed Duels and 17 new skills. That’s a lot of new stuff.

Jesus seeing a gimmick of taking a loser's best card is such a cool concept for me. Also I love how it even has rare hunter's skills. And I love that there is diffrenet modes and rules for the tournament. Now I just need to find 7 friends to play this with

I think this speed duel box is actually very good for people who want to start either speed duels or just YuGiOh in general. It’s pretty cool for a casual set and I hope Konami makes more products like this
I could see this being really good with a couple of friends and the fact that these duels are quite fast paced it keeps it alive to newer players making it easier and more fun.
The box looks really nice, its perfect to get friends and family into dueling

Nostalgia was the primary reason I bought this. I love seeing the classic cards and playing the game in a format which is similar to how to game was played when I was a child.
I really like how it has an old school yugioh feel as a new product. Brings back good memories
Imagine playing speed duels and playing conflict warriors- one of the best decks- and just adding 3 rota... THAT'D BE CRAZY
When u realise that rota can technically be a 3 of in speed duel now 😕

This box looks absolutely incredible. I've been looking forward to what it'll have, and I am not disappointed at all! Battle City is so nostalgic, and Speed Duel being an easy way to get to Dueling with friends was great fun before the pandemic screwed with that.
Some notes:
Machina's actually マシンナーズ or "Machiners" in Japanese, which TCG decided sounded more like people who work on machines, so they went with Machina instead. So _technically..._ pronouncing it like "machine" is correct.
Additionally, "Des" I believe is just a "literal transliteration" of Japanese デス or "death", so it's a cheeky way to avoid saying "Death" without "changing" the name.
This box is going to be amazing, I'm happy we have a viable Yugioh draft format finally.
Have been playing Duel Links after many years stopped playing TCG. My first real deck was a fusion deck with Buster Blader DDS and Dark Paladin. Then started using it with more Red-Eyes (My fav) when RE Slash Dragon came out and have always used it since.
Seeing Dark Paladin in the Battle City Box made me feel to get some physical cards to play. Never thought I'd like fusions so much.

That dokurorider reprint is insane given it was 50 quid tournament promo. Ritual spell was about 30ish. Cyber harpie lady is also solid.

I've never played speed duels, but this box makes me want to. 1st I love the concept of draft, 2nd the god cards look great, 3rd there's a couple secrets that could be cool to use in the TCG like Reinforcements of the army. I just wish that the decks were seperated a bit better, but at least the decklists are on the mats in it!
My thoughts on the speed Duel Battle City box is that it has a lot of nostalgic yugioh cards and am looking forward to seeing how these cards will change the meta of speed duel.

This box is insane ! I'll def get into speed duel even if i wasn't so sure before .
It’s an awesome box to start with. The f course it gives you lots of options to either boy a few boxes or pick up some of the older sets to expand you decks.
This box is very good product because :
1. Contains most of the cards used in the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh Battle City Arc (where are most of my favourite cards appeared in that season)
2. Very good if you love and like to play Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links.
3. Can help the beginners to make and try different decks to be able to play better.
Don't get me wrong, this seems pretty cool (although I don't really have anyone to play Speed Duels with, all the people I normally duel are just regular TCG players) but, there's just one small, tiny, miniscule thing wrong with it.

I need to get those secret gods cause you can get secret slifer and obelisks from the tins but not ra so it's nice to have a proper set
Absolutely amazing box! I love that the Speed Duel products are guaranteed cards instead of the regular booster pack style so more people can enjoy this format with easy access.
Yeah it’s like a massive starter kit basically but one that finally introduces Secret Rares to Speed Duels.
Watched the show when I was a kid can’t wait to play it with my friends
Always thought YuGiOh was really cool as a kid but never got into it, got too complex too fast I think, so I love the Speed Duel format and looking forward to jumping in!
This is quite the boost to speed duels. The whole tournament idea is great and was pretty successful in Duel links so I am sure a lot of people would pick this up. The secret rare addition is a big win too.
How could the set not include dark magician girl
This box will change the landscape of the speed duel meta so much, and in an exciting way, happy to be able to get my hands on it soon
Loving all the throwback cards to when we were kids. So many different characters and deck possibilities, it's just so awesome! I hope they keep Speed Duels thriving into the future
The print quality on these cards are actually on another level

One of the most awesome Konami products. Although I am not a huge speed duel player I find this as a huge value. Especially the secret rares inside the box are amazing! God cards are amazing :D
I liked it, It is awesome if you will play against your friends and siblings. 8 decks are pretty cool, lots of match options, it will never be the same thing like the other starter decks. Also it presents some duel links meta cards like cosmic ciclone and some pretty balanced decks in terms of control and monsters. Fun stuff !!!
The concept is really nice, had no intention of even trying irl Speed Duels before, but this box might sway me

Man this box has a lot of Anti-Control cards which is good since many of the best decks are control based
Looks great! Teaching my kids to play yugioh now and speed duels has been a great way to introduce them to the game.
Not sure if someboey said it before but, if I recall right, the thing with "Des" Creatures was that their OCG titles have "Death" in the name, the rest should be clear. I'm not 100% sure though
In the middle of reading the Battle City Arc and I’ve only played duel links for a couple months. This set looks awesome to get to try the physical game since I hear it’s basically like Duel Links!
It’s essentially the physical manifestation of Duel Links and it’s great.

First off THIS WAS A GOOD VIDEO. Now why I want this box:
Well for a person who bought the Legendary Dragons box (which I wish I had chance to buy Legendary Decks 1 and 2 plus Legendary Heroes)... I LOVE THESE KIND OF PRODUCTS. I am a big fan of Character Deck stuff and this is GOLDEN to me. My only gripe... this will be the last product for Speed Duels. I love the concept of Speed Duels (which I wish I could duel someone with them for fun) more so than the "PLAY TO WIN" Duel Links plus it's more friendly to get the cards you want (OR CARDS YOU NEVER EVER GET IN DUEL LINKS LIKE PER-PREPARATION OF RITES OR NEGATE ATTACK SERIOUSLY?!). Plus the skills are all more creative than Duel Links (the Slifer one is at least more interesting than anything). As for the box, IT IS WORTH GETTING! I hope I can win this box because I want it so BADLY. Plus God Cards. I WANT IT SO MUCH! I WANT IT! I WANT IT SO BADLY!
AND I HOPE KONAMI DOESN'T KILL OFF SPEED DUELS! I want Speed Duels for all the eras of Yugioh than RUSH DUELS. BLEH... Not a fan of Rush Duels. Bigger fan on Speed Duels!
Love the art works for the XYZ stuff, shame they didn't put the v-tiger jet or w-catapult in
How is the quality of these cards compared to old prints, pre-2010? These new cards seem a bit cheaper. Do they?
I'm honestly thinking about getting this. I haven't played Yugioh in years, and even then the only times I played was with family. I feel like this could be good Christmas fun if it's closer to the classic format. I don't want to think about us trying to work out strategies with pendulums and Xyz and Link monsters. We're all in our 20's but absolute Boomers when it comes to this game!
In my box the package with Pre-Prep at the front was sadly missing.... that sucks.
I guess you'll never see this but I think they wrote "DES" on the cards because they didn't want to use the word "DEATH". And "lacooda" comes from the Japanese word for camel, "rakuda". So it's really "Death Camel".
I see all. Having watched and listened to enough Anime and Baby Metal you think I would have got the Des part. Thanks about the Lacooda part to, super useful.

Since I read the product description I have wanted to have a tournament with my friends since the decks are pretty good and there is so much value in the box. Also the idea of buying 3 is blowing my mind
I think more people would be into speed duels if they started with a box like this, meaning a lot of cards playable right away! plus having the God cards and the chance to pull iconic boss monsters as secret rare adds so much value to this ~ would totally buy 3 of these!
Nice to see characters like Odion and Arkana get their own deck themes. And the secrets look amazing. Hope i pull Dark Magician
I think it’s really good for beginners who are also fans of the anime
Always great to have more speed duel cards but I lament for graveyard centered decks with cards like banisher of the light.
I just ordered this thanks to this video as well as some nostalgia.
I've always liked the double packs they would come out with, but this kind of takes the cake. Of course, I haven't owned any new physical decks in aeons, but this seems to be the perfect way to introduce my family to the game, while keeping the volume of cards large enough that the game getting stale for them shouldn't be a big concern.
Come to think of it, I think I only watched yugioh up until battle city, or egypt, can't remember, and I only got back into yugioh october of this year (legacy of duelist). there was a lot of head scratching, lmao.
Currently, I'm kind of hoping Rush duels come over here. At least over there, there's less to learn. ~10k cards is a lot to wrap your head around!
my only experience so far with speed duels, has been duel links. fun to try and build the decks people say suck.

I really like this box for two reasons. One it's a great and easy way to get some of my friends that are not into Yu-Gi-Oh into the game. Speed duels in general is great for that but with this I like the idea that we can turn it into a tournament and have multiple of us playing. Secondly,it is awesome to have secret rares now but even better cause I can pick some of those up for the tcg since they are upgrades. All in all I love the box,good job Konami.
I think its nice That Konami Made One More Box. Their just incredible and its nice that they give some people the chance to get it to a Great Price.
Wish this had been more promoted - it looks like such a fun way to have your own little home tournament without having to have each person buy loads of cards. I still adore Speed Duels, wish Konami showed it a bit more love.
Well it’s out in two weeks so they are starting that push now I’d guess. But yeah it’s a great little product and we’re gonna have some fun doing our little tournament.
I think this box is a very important checkpoint in speed duels, and can lead to great things.

The God cards look sick in that rarity. I have 3 for 'Master Format' but I'll definitely be picking this up as my versions have the newer artwork and I'm a sucker for the OG artwork
I really like this box cause it comes with so many different cards and archetypes. It's perfect because I'm just getting into yugioh via speed duels and I really enjoy it! Getting so many different cards will certainly be fun
I love to have a format that brings back the old school player, player from these days and new player with a quick to play format and old school cards. And this box it’s the best from the format because we can finally get some of the best cards in secret rare 🥴🥲

This is really good value as it includes some excellent staples for Speed Duels. Cosmic Cyclone at 3 sounds terrifying.
I used to play yugioh for many years when I was younger. I had many cards but now I have nothing. I can't remember how I lost them. Now I won't to star collecting again because I want to have cards not for playing but for memories. So this box would be a really good start. Good luck to everyone
I've become disinterested in the format this year, but this box definitely reaffirms my interest in the Speed Duel format. Plus it's great value and it makes a great set for teaching friends how to play.

Anyone else disappointed that the cards aren't the same style as rush duel cards? It seems like speed duals were an afterthought for the TCG

The main focus will be how the skill affect the duels
I see only one problem with this Box. There is only one Polymerization so it's quite difficult if you have 2 decks where are Fusion monsters (I mean the deck with Buster Blader + Dark Magician and deck with Berfomet + Gazelle)
This is actually really cool for speed duels. I feel like the release of this box will change the meta for it in some way. Also love how u guys got it about a month earlier than us in the US here. Missed the face cam in the video, especially since Aiden needs to show his face now lol seems like I gotta get 4 of these, 3 to open and 1 to keep sealed. Looking forward to the videos on the tournament
This box is just the perfect set for beginners like me who want to get into speed duels. Really looking forward to using the Masked beast deck, it looks so cool, and it had a great battle in the anime!
Konami didn't hold back with this product! We got nostalgia, we got anti-control, we got the Egyptian God cards and some needed reprints. Fun for casual and great for competitive

Honestly fun box set. With the amount of card included you can have a nice draft play where you can make the best deck from a random selection of card. Love the 8 awesome promo card. Nice box to get yourself and some into old school yugioh.
@Yougioh I think it's a great way to start learning and to play you can also add the booster pack cards that you have looks like an amazing product and getting the god cards playable that's a A* in my eyes. My thoughts on this are:
It's really great what they are doing with this product. Makes it very easy for many players to get in speed duels. We might see more players play Speed duels and I might get into it, only if it gets more local support.
the secret rare of this box is so beautiful that make me wants to get into speed duel. Certainly great box for starter
The downside for me about this box is that you get 5 random rare cards out of the 21 and you basically have to buy 5 boxes to get them all if you're lucky.
This is true but you could deffo build up your decks to be even more awesome with the extra boxes.

Agree, wish they would have given some actual support cards to make the god cards viable. Feels like they've mashed nostalgia with some sealed play elements. Nonetheless, sweet set.
