No actors in this world is as commited as Tom Cruise to do insane stuff for his fans. He is breaking the boundaries of what is possible to do as an actor to make a realistic action scene with no cgi. What a living legend.
@@kenjisparks Yeah. Actually Jackie Chan started his carrer as a stunt man. He was never really an actor and all of his films are action comedy. But Tom Cruise has a versatile carrer. There are some stunts of tom cruise that jackie chan can never perform like flying the helicopter 360 downward spiral. Even expert pilots dare doing that. Or flying a plane with James Corden doing insane acrobatics. But if you compare in form of stunts than Jackie chan is the winner. Both of them inspired by Buster Keaton if you watch their interviews. But these days Jackie Chan is getting soft with his age but Cruise on the other hand i think getting crazier.
"and not lecturing them..." except for lecturing people about justifying Scientology and its various methods of "encouraging" members to stay in that cult, getting psychological therapy or abiding by COVID restrictions. I'm not the one to get star struck - but my God I have mad respect for Tom Cruise. Top Gun Maverick was AMAZING and just what we needed IN THEATERS! Keep on doing what you do, sir. You will always have our attention! Peace!
He finally has reached the point where pleasing audiences is worth 100 times 1 Oscar. And that makes him happier because the pressure is off. He can have fun now.
Thank you Tom Cruise for bringing Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell back on screen. Top Gun: Maverick was the sequel we needed. I was 7 when I first saw Top Gun. I got to relive a part of my childhood for 130 minutes.
When I was a little boy, my mum recorded Top Gun when it was on tv and I watched the flight scenes every afternoon on VHS. I wanted to become a fighter pilot, and Maverick was a hero to me. I bought model fighter planes and loved the Air Force. Then I got older and that dream faded away, but I’ll always remember how much the movie inspired me. Then I watched Top Gun Maverick and it made me feel like that little boy again, absolutely enthralled by Maverick and the fighter jets. So much so that I watched it 4 times in cinema, one of those being in a 4DX theatre! Pre-ordered my 4K steel book version too. Tom Cruise, you are a legend, thank YOU for bringing cinema back to life and being the awesome human being that you are!
He's his own unique person. Everyone has their own take on subjective things and decisions. I could care less about his personal life. As far as acting, Tom is top of the food chain in my book, and his dedication to his craft is unmatched.
Well...when what some people believe in triggers them to be aggressive, violent, commitattrocities...then yeah, it absolutely matters what people "believe" in. Beliefs can be incredibly dangerous to society, and have caused endless wars from the horrendous Christian Crusades to 911 and all other terrorattacks, general violence, assassinations and other manifestations of madness and irrationality throughout human history. It would be lovely if it really didn't matter, but in reality, it matters a lot what we "believe" is real.
Having someone of your honour, integrity and dedication in our country was an absolute privilege. You sir, are a bloody legend. Thank you for all you do, and long may you continue
The fact he STILL does this is unbelievably amazing. Statistically something can happen. I hope they stay careful and don’t ever overdue it because of fan pressure.
I don't think fan pressure would be an issue. Tom Cruise would do this even if no one were watching. He likes doing it as much, if not more than we like seeing it I wouldn't worry though. The man is widely known for taking safety, protocol, and practice very seriously
He really puts it all on the line, even taking injuries getting the shot. I would have gotten a bit cautious and maybe let the stunt guy do it, but Tom keeps going.
No Tom, thank YOU for your craft. It was an absolute blast to see your film, and my only regret is that I only saw it in the theater once! Also, thank you for your gratitude, and keeping politics out of your films. Whatever your political leanings, I am glad that you do what most Americans should, and that is keep that to yourself, your close family and friends and the voting booth. Godspeed!
Despite having fairly extreme religious (cultic) beliefs, Tom never preaches it to his audience. That is deserving of tremendous respect, especially in today's Hollywood.
This man has been single handedly controlling his acting career and making himself the action star of a generation and still doing stuff like this after so long is straight up incredible. Top Gun: Maverick was brilliant and the Mission Impossible movies have all been consistantly top notch. He can be seriously underrated amongst social circles and its a damn shame sometimes. Thank you Tom Cruise for your absolute dedication and commitment, as well as your love for cinema and life. Your legend grows each passing year.
No actor like this guy. I have went back and watch this a few times. Unbelievable how he just step off the edge like that, free falling backwards and talks like he's having coffee. Much respect for TC.
And in a BAD way since he very actively participates in, and advances the propagation of an evil cult that destroys people's lives and families. That would be a BAD way he's insane. Js...
Tom Cruise inadvertently did a Mission Impossible mission without trying. He made movies, fun, enjoyable and entertaining in times where most of Hollywood is full of themselves.
I remember in grade three I did a mind map about tom cruise because I loved mission impossible so much, now I'm a whole adult and he's still doing what he's passionate about, what a legend
What a difference! I see studios blaming "the audience" for their failures, but it's rare and wonderful to see one giving credit to the audience for their success. Wonderful!
Tom Cruise is a real life action hero!! I was able to meet him in Ramstein Germany at the Ghost Protocol early showing for us troops. I really appreciated him taking time to come see us after deployment. ✌🏾❤️

You're welcome, Tom. Best movie I've seen in a long, long time. I went alone on opening weekend because I couldn't wait. I went again with my son and father-in-law a few weeks later. It was just as good the 2nd time. The opening part identical to the original but with modern jets gave me chills both times. We talked about it all the way home.
Yes, i agree. I too had goosebumps with the opening. My son wanted to take me (but i drive and i pay for tickets) to see it for my bday. So i 1 uped it and ended up buying every seat in the theater so it can be just me and my son, center seats, middle row, all to ourselves. The ticket lady even stood outside the doors so nobody else entered. Worth every penny.
I recently watched both Top Gun movies back-to-back on DVD. I agree that they are equally good and Maverick does justice to the original, which is no mean feat.
Give him a reach around already. Takes a special person to go to the movies alone. Hollyweird is a bunch of pedos and I refuse to support them. I watched it free. Thank god for that part.
@@Wesmancan why the heck did the words reach around and pedos come into this? I see people all the time going to arenas and theaters with only a single seat ticket.
