BANANA FRITTERS RECIPE || TERRI-ANN’S KITCHEN

  • Hey guys I just wanted to share this Tutorial on how to make my Banana Fritters from the Caribbean with You guys. As always the steps are very easy to follow and you really don’t need any kitchen experience to be able to pull this off.     Ingredients List
    -----------------
    3 overripe bananas
    1/2 tsp mixed spices
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1 tbs vanilla extract
    3 Tbs Sugar
    1 cup plain flour
    2 Tbs Water
    1 1/2 cup oil to fry fritters

    I did some night ago but I use ripe plantains instead it came out so perfect I love cooking and trying different things or ingredients that's why I love your videos as well I learned something new every time 🇻🇨🇻🇨🇻🇨👋🏼

    We made these growing up but with plantain. Try Plantain guys, it's also fantastic. This video literally made my mouth water.

    Lord these literally made my mouth watering. Do you recommend a specific kind of oil for frying? I love all your recipes God bless your hands...come to NYC 🙏🏽🇯🇲

      Vicky Terry-Rijo I use coconut oil mostly but you can use any of preference as sometimes I use what I have on hand :)

    When the bananas are so ripe, I don't use sugar because they tastes too sweet. Thanks for the recipe. I tried using baking powder and they absorbed too much oil. I am used to making them without baking powder and I never saw the oil disappearing from the pan before. I am sure it was the baking powder.

    Is there a substitute for mixed spice? It's not the same as allspice is it? I haven't seen that in NY.

      The mixed spice is cinnamon and nutmeg. You can use some from each :)

    Can you use self raisin flour if you don't have plain one?

    I tried the recipe out and the final product was more like a pancake. Next time, we have to use a lot less flour....

    what's the mixed spice?

      I am MiizPinky it’s a mix of nutmeg, cinnamon, coriander seed etc... if you don’t have it just use your nutmeg and cinnamon as this works perfectly too xx

    Can you use brown sugar and if you can how many tbs?

      Add 1-2 tbsp and Taste the batter and add more till it’s sweet enough for you :)
