I'm amazed how some people still cannot accept the fact that to learn how to truly fight, you must train with an uncooperative opponent.
Yea but it's way easier if your opponent cooperates and just lets you throw them around. You're just trying to make it harder for no reason. 😂
Jk. Of course.
@@williamdowling7718😂😂😂
Maybe some ppl didn't have the right friends in school to keep them in check. I have been in a few wrestling matches, and that was enough.
There are stereotypes in modern society that are very hard to break , plus the influence of " authority " and money .
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body and meditate like Yoga.
In the immortal words of Mike Tyson, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face!
".. punched in the mouth".
Everybody gets this quote wrong
I took Wing Chun and boxing for about 6 and a half years, from the same teacher (sifu did boxing for 20 years and wing chun for 30) and one day I asked him why most Kung fu is BS. He told me that 99.9 percent of traditional Kung fu master don't spar, and don't encourage their students to spar, so they never stress test their techniques and figure out what works and what silly moves to leave in the classroom. I think the biggest mistake traditional wing chun oracticioners do is go into a fight in the traditional wing chun stance. In most situations, you'll never be mobile enough to deal with someone who can dodge, weave, or is the least bit quick. We were basically taught to adopt a boxing stance and and only apply techniques that make sense, like the occasional tan Sau, oblique kick and some elbows as a couple example. I always laugh when I see people sparring or fighting and throwing out bon sau's and standing around stationary waiting for a punch to come. If you do Kung fu, study people like Tony Ferguson, Anderson Silva and Jon Jones. All of them practice wing chun/jkd, but have figured out what works, and merged that with their boxing and bjj. I especially enjoy the oblique kicks Jon Jones employs
That's the deal with BJJ. You can go as hard as you want to go and not really worry about injuring yourself or the other person. The amount of quality fighting time you can log is huge. Striking it more difficult to practice in a similar manner.
What do you think of Splashing Hands Kung Fu?
Years of training just to master the art of blocking opponents punch with ones face
Hell I can do that like a badass, with ZERO training! Lol.
There are lots of internet tough guys, but the one thing I learned in my 30 yrs as a cop was tough talk is just talk.
You needed 30 years to get it , no doubt you are cop
@@lopezetienne5108 ?????
@@lopezetienne5108 and here is a great example of a internet tough guy. Can't wait to hear how many people you knocked out.
Seriously? That's all you learned as a cop in 30 years? Either you're downplaying everything you learned to make a point specific to this video or you're supremely arrogant and believe that you knew everything about being a cop before you started. Either way, it doesn't matter because there are people who mouth off, talk tough, and when attacked, they prove to be excellent fighters who are genuine tough guys. Granted, they're rare, but they are out there. Also, talking tough doesn't always mean a braggart who descriptively threatens people with what they're going to do in order to actually weasel out of a fight. The toughest fighter I've ever witnessed in a fight was a small man about 4'10", 90 pounds, who soundly beat and knocked out 3 large guys over 6' and 225 pounds. They told him that they were going to kill him. His response was, "Go ahead and do what you think you have to do, but I'm going home." They should've recognized his calm words and demeanor for the confident tough talk it was. I know that after they regained consciousness that they certainly thought twice in similar situations after that, if they even had the intestinal fortitude to try that on someone else.
@@JeremiahChisumgosse You sound like another internet keyboard know-nothing w/too much time on your hands.
The tournament organizer have a grudge against that yellow belt or something? Despite the predictable outcome, credit to them for giving it a shot despite the gap in rank, experience, and skill.
That yellow belt got done dirty.
Yeah, unless there's more to the story (such as the Yellow Belt specifically challenged the Black Belt), I'm not sure why this was included in this video. Not the Yellow's fault that he was put in a lopsided match.
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body and meditate like Yoga.
@@Shadybiz1Even if challenged and then attacked by the yellow belt, the black belt should know better than to do anything but deflect and defend, not attack.
I learned Krav Maga 4x a week for a year it two. Here’s a summary of what I learned is best to do in a fight:
Run.
Yup. Fighting should be the very last thing you will do
@@jinkim349 when I started learning the real stuff, it hit me (hard) how, the only way such things would be ok to do, is if I was already in an incredibly dangerous situation, where any mistake - or new entry/criminal - could end my life. It was then that I realized that, everything I was learning, was with the hope of never having to use any of it, ever, at all, anywhere. I pray not to have to ever find out what would happen if I had no choice. And I wish the 2nd amendment still existed in NY...
What got me was these martial arts masters had absolutely no footwork. They had no way to stop a real fighter when they press the advantage.
The black belt at 5:05 has no honor and should never be allowed to teach. You NEVER treat or attack a lower belt like that.
Its a tournament, not a class. The problem here is why is a yellow belt fighting a dan in the first place. Maybe the master or the yellow belt itself wanted to fight more advanced fighters because he was confident enought.
@@MatiJustice That is irrelevant. The problem is exactly that and does not excuse the fight. It is tantamount to a grown man beating up a kid. If one of our black belts did this, they would have been excused from the dojo and would have been either suspended from any of the local schools or blacklisted altogether. The fact that the tournament officials allowed this makes them culpable in what amounts to assault.
First of all, why is a black fighting a yellow? If that was a tournament, they should have not matched by rules. If that was a spar match at a dojo, that black is an ass for sure.
@@MatiJusticethe black belt should have checked his ego and either taped put of just thrown the fight. Low belts are never allowed in higher rings for safety. So, it was probably too small a tournament and they just crammed them together.
@@RancidDragonProductions Nope, that cant happen at any tournament, if there is no competitors to a category, you can go to another category with the same skill level but different weight, take the win and go home or go to a more advance skill level match with the same weight (this case).
The black belt never need to hold back is a tournament, that problem is to the yellow belt, since his sensei or sabonim and the tournament staff allowed him to fight a more advanced fighter. Never a fighter or deportist should hold back his skill in any competitive enviroment.
I think some of the best fighters that ever lived probably never bullied people or even got in any fights in their lives. It's always the big talkers who get humbled by the silent types.
most of us were bullied, thats the reason I got into training, since 2012. and now I have a group of younger and some older guys that I train and the n1 rule of the gym is that if u engage or provoke a fight outside of the gym, u are banned for life. People dont realise that this is a sport, and not a tool to put fear in other people outside. also people dont realise how powerfull mma fighters are and what kind of person u even have to be to train that sport...a lot of them say they are crazy and thats the reason they would win, and they forget I like to take punches in my head and smile at the opponnent with my tounge out...usually u can humble them if u challenge them to take 1 low kick at 50% power...they fall as hard as a tree and wonder how that hurts even if they are bodybuilders xd stay humble, keep training and be disciplined, u have nothing to prove to others unless its a contest
@@DrMinimalare your students allowed to engage if they are at risk of being assaulted?
@@bobadams7654 offcourse, defending urself and your familly is your duty! But engaging in dumb fights like "why are u looking at me... did u just bump into me etc etc" are not valid reasons to fight someone in the streets...we had one dude that trained with us, he high kicked a dude and dude fell and hit his head on the pavement and ended up in coma. Buddy got 2 years in jail for that, so its not fun and games.
@DrMinimal thanks for swift reply. totally agree.
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body and meditate like Yoga.
Hey! It’s not cowardice to realize you’re completely overmatched. That is sensible. Stepping in there took some guts too, also hubris.
I thought the same. Bro took a shot and decided it was a bad plan, but at least he got in the ring.
That’s what I came here to say. That wasn’t “the coward’s way out,” that would’ve been ducking the fight altogether. I think it took guts to basically say, “No. I was wrong, and I don’t belong here.” That can be humiliating, but he wisely chose to admit defeat sooner than take an unnecessary beating.
@@TerryAllenSwartos Having said this, how bad do you have to delude yourself to get in the ring with someone legit when you are _clearly_ not up to the task?
They arent fake masters, they are just masters of arts that dont actually work for a real fight.
They are into choreography - not fighting. They run a dance studio.
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body and meditate like Yoga.
So they're legitimate masters? Yea? Of WHAT? Fkin dipshit.
Most Kung fus, muay Thais, etc., were used for wars, the thing is people don't spar, not even points sparring, let alone full contact.
@5:53 this guy is a joy to watch as he floats across the mat - wow!
Mma fighters vs retired neighbours in pajamas
The kick master wasnt fighting an MMA fighter. He was fighting an moving kicking bag actor. Its easy to catch a kick and push to ground.
Masters probably learned more about fighting in these few moments than their entire careers
These aren’t masters, they’re just old men with no wake up calls.🤷♂️
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body and meditate like Yoga.
@@SoulRocketManbro we get it
I get the feeling that these masters have learned their skills from watching Kung Fu films on the TV and then getting their costumes from Ali Express. They should have gone to Wish instead and then wished that they knew what to do.
In my experience the first one to land a significant punch usually wins so never stand there hoping to block a punch!
The yellow pants guy whom dropped his hands, his tactic was to get this opponent to get tired from over-punching him.
He’s a well known fighter for so that in matches. If you watch his wins where he did that, his technique was different. He would tuck his chin and push his forehead towards the opponent. It looks like he got cocky and just let him hit him here. Bad choice.
George Dillman and Jon Jones needs to happen.
Sticking an older gentleman into a bout with a younger fighter is not a fair fight - the old guys looked like they were moving in slow motion.
Bout not bought
@davidmagnuson1253 haha you are correct David, my apologies for the autocorrect 🤣
@dankaynie I always double check anything I type out as auto correct doesn't always listen
2:54 put him to sleep in his PJ's 🤣
A couple of them look they never been hit for.
I've seen Tai Chi fighters throw people to the ground so hard it was like they fell off a three story building.
So… they died?
Lol at the "no touch" master.
Technically he didnt TOUCH his opponent lol.
He is undefeatd in no touch fights. When the other guy is allowed to touch him, well... his record is less impressive.
The key to most mixed martial arts fights is to get your opponent out of their style. Hence, if someone only knows certain types of, for lack of a better term, 'on their feet fighting', then someone who has trained in wrestling or various ground forms brings their opponent to the ground and dominates. Conversely, if you have someone who only has a ground game (which we've seen in some MMA fights), they try and use every opportunity to get to the ground, but if you can't force your opponent down, you are at a severe disadvantage as their strikes weaken you.
If you are taking a martial art to learn defense, go to some form of karate or boxing to learn footwork and striking, then some Br JuJitSu for ground work and Aikido for rolls and balance. Work and practice your fundamentals until they become second nature. Then try sparing/attending an MMA gym/sessions and work on combining all that into something that works together.
Machido mastered karate but he also adapted to modern ways of fighting. But karate first and everything second. Great fighter
6:14 You mean the “MMA fighter” that didn’t use one bit of MMA?
I like your videos, in general, but you guys really need to stop doing the 180 degree horizontal flip of the video and replaying it over and over. Just show each clip once or even twice, but showing them repeatedly with a horizontal flip between play is just dumb.
In the service we were told that martial arts are only viable if you are fighting an opponent using the same style. when in hand to hand you fight as dirty as you can,
The Kyokushin Black Belt reminded me of my dojo when I was in Japan in the 80s. They did not play!
I have some experiences in different martial arts (8 yrs of Tae Kwon Do, 1 yr of Judo, 1 yr of BJJ)
Some of the technics might be useful in streets, or MMA fights, but the reason of learning martial arts should be self-discipline/respect. Those "masters" did not learn a single thing from their teachers if they have any lol
I want to see an MMA fighter take on that RUclips kungfu guy in China, the one that uses sound effects and sped-up video to throw students around. And that touchless kungfu master that wears a business suit.
in the 2nd clip, it was a MMA calling out the bullshido martial arts masters in his area
and he demolished all of them and it RUINED HIS LIFE and CAREER
because society hated him for it... he got ostracized and death threats constantly...
to the point he had to move.
Which merely amplifies how pathetic those "masters" and their "followers really are.
that fightwr at the 6:41 mark will definitely get his pro card soon. he will be the one to watch.
I called Bolo Yeung 'cute'... then I woke up ;)
Whatever that is at 10:00 is great. I’m not sure what I’m watching but I could watch more. It looks like one guys is punching the other guy in the face while he tries to do shadow puppets.
10:26 I think he just forgot to drop lol.
He forgot why he was there
Tai Chi as a martial art? In my area it’s usually old grannies keeping fit.
Never take a fight against a guy who’s gonna keep one hand behind his back. It’s a no-win situation for you, no matter the result. Duh
Hahaha, I'm a yellow belt in Karate and I don't know shit, trying to go against a blackbelt is just insanity. If someone set me up for that fight I'd never take it. I'd rather box Jake Paul
Unless you're a 60 year old man with bad knees then there's not a chance in hell Jake Paul is taking that fight.
That MMA fighter wasn't even fighting back against the guy in the white gi.
4:37 This guy wears a black belt for a reason.
Getting Punched in the Face by a Trained and/or Well-Skilled Puncher really is a Wake-Up Call. Flash of Light, Pain, Blood, Teeth coming Loose, etc. (all of which I have endured). But, if you can mentally prepare for it and absorb it, you may be able to return fire, which most are not prepared for. I have been punched many times (US Navy, Bar Fights, etc.), and sometimes by very large dudes, but have always been able to withstand the initial punches and hit them back, with solid punches of my own (thrown with technique, leverage and violence). They often crumble like a house of cards. Anyone can be knocked out. There are also many other ways to be dropped (Body Punches, Kicks to the Knee, Leg Sweeps, etc.) and all can put you in a terrible disadvantage and a World of Hurt. Train, Prepare, Focus, Be Alert and be a Nice Person (unless some Bad Guy needs a beat Down).
Some of these martial “artists” need to put their paintbrushes and crayons down and pick up some loves and fight training! I saw one of those “no hit masters” (where they throw their energy, chia pet, jedi force, or whatever) get in the ring and he got hit so many times in 3 seconds HE started throwing punches! So much for a “no hit master”! He QUICKLY decided he was more of a puncher after being the punchee for a couple of seconds. He was KO’ed a few seconds in! 😂😂😂😂 *EDIT* Ahhhh you got one on those “no touch masters” @ 9:08 . Just got to that part! I hope you have more! 😂😂😂
I saw this happen in a boxing match… the guy was destroyed in two seconds
Where did people get this idea that martial "arts" is about fighting and not an artistic performance discipline?
None of these "masters" even have any athletic form.
also a LOT of martial arts do NOT have an answer for majority of boxing techniques.
but martial arts vs martial arts full contact does come into play
if its just for points at a tournament thats body shots only and its a lot less professional..
The old guy at 1:38 went viral maybe around 10 years ago. He was so delusional about his no-touch art that he actually put something like $15,000 on the line. He lost it, of course. I can't remember his name now, but it used to be easy to find videos of him taking on all his students at once with his no-touch nonsense, and they'd all obligingly fall over when he waved his hands at them. It was pretty sad, actually.
I love guys who punch air then try to pick fights.
If there's anything that'll hose you more than being untrained, it's thinking you're trained when you're not.
Big egos play into this alot.
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body and meditate like Yoga.
The yellow belt one was BS unless there’s more to the story. BB shouldn’t be going full speed on a yellow belt like that. And YB should have bowed out.
That guy got winged right in the chung
I see what you did there. Very punny sir.
@@Ravenstrike721 You're dealing with a master of the marital arts.
I recommend everybody exercises, learns any real martial arts. That doesn't enable you to stand up against a professional MMA/Muai Thai fighter, but is good enough for good body control, self confidence and hopefully a drunk dude.
Martial means from Mars, and artist means gay. 😂
First rule, don’t wear pajamas to a fight.
Say that to BJJ and Judo guys.
Tai Chi is a great exercise and to do a moving meditation. However with that said, it's not the style, it's the fighter. But not Tai Chi.
Salutes from a new Zealand 🇳🇿 hoodz fighter
I honestly don't understand--why do these guys, who know they're bogus and can't fight, get into a ring with...well, anyone?
I don't think it's because they know they can't fight but choose to anyway. I think most of these guys are so delusional that they actually believe their nonsense works.
It's not until they take real contact that they realize their fighting style doesn't work. Or until they wake up, because some of these guys either get KTFO'd immediately or go into brain trauma auto-pilot as soon as they take a real hit.
I love Bushito Masters.😂😂😂
Always thought TaiChi was only for meditation and calm. When did they start fighting?
To be fair these ancient martial arts only work if the opponent also follows the same rules.
Nowadays you are better off taking Grav maga, Brazilian jujutsu or MMA.
The guy kneeling down is from Yellow Bamboo. Check them out. Shocking bs.
What a beautiful, wonderful satisfying vidio 😂😂
Try real street fights n loose teeth cuz I have😂. There always be ppl think they can fight Or a master. Crazy world.
If the sparring allowed ground fighting in the clip that you said the master looked good in he would have been toast he left himself so open for takedowns it wasn't even funny
Don't wear pajamas when you fight.
The Masters sacrificed themself to show to their student how/why not to get beaten badly. So come to the class and pay more to learn how to beat the MMA
Honest question.... Has anyone seen a video of a martial artist fighting a real fighter where they won? I've never seen a single one, and I've seen thousands of fight videos probably
pretty sure real fighters are martial artists - just they train more effectively and ditch the filler.
People can be sucked in by these fakers. I was. When I was young, I joined a Kung-Fu school just wanting to learn to defend myself. I'd never done any kind of self-defence before so didn't know shit from clay. I was told that the style of Kung-Fu I was doing was so dangerous that we didn't spar or compete in tournaments because the style was too effective. So effective that it had been banned from tournaments as people were getting too badly hurt by this style. Being young and gullible, I believed the bullshit and signed right up. I asked once what would happen if the fight went to the ground and the response was, "If you're good enough, it won't." and that was the start, and end, of defending yourself on the ground training. We were also told that if we went to another school to learn a different style, we'd be kicked out of the school. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed and it took me 5 years to realise that I was wasting my time and money after way too many unanswered questions. I took up boxing the day after I left the school and was absolutely shocked and embarrassed at how badly trained I was. The one good thing was I was in good physical shape because it was exercise with a lot of resistance training. I got all that and more in the boxing gym.
Nope. I'm here because i saw the thumbnail pic of Gus' hot dog truck behind the Galeria. I've seen that since the 70s when we picked my father up from the train .
Curious what else i will see that's familiar.
The thing about traditional martial arts is its really only designed to counter other traditional martial arts. They are rigid systems that lack flexibility in dealing with styles that they aren't familiar with. That was a big part of Bruce Lee's philosophy of the style of no style. He was looking for ways to deal with any opponent of any size or any style because the traditional forms were inadequate for real fighting. You can be a true master of a particular style, but it doesn't make you a true fighter.
Edit: The clip at 5:52 is cool and all, but it seems like they agreed to keep the fight standing. If this were MMA, the dude would have shot for a single leg and taken the master down to the ground kinda like the clip at 7:37. That's why you see so many low/leg kicks in MMA, or you'll see a fighter using leg kicks to setup a head kick later in the fight. Not just throwing flurries of kicks like this guy.
Does anyone realize that Tai Chi is not a martial art? It is an art form a little more active than yoga, which keeps the muscles toned, the joints limber, and also involves a meditative element. Think of it in terms of Eastern Pilates.
This IS the real thing. Thanx for good video 🙏
Off hand, in the match at 10:05, it looks like loser took a kick the head that put him out on his feet. His hands drop to his sides because he's listening to little birds, and his opponent proceeds to put him the rest of the way down.
That yellow belt / back belt fight was not cool. Belt levels exist for a reason.
Really wanna see Steven Seagal face a real opponent
I've always been the big guy in the small city I live in. At school, I was head and shoulders above most, and I've never bullied anyone. In fact, I had always been the one bullied. I guess if a smaller guy knocks the big dude on his ass, he looks pretty formidable after that. I'd rather be friends with everyone, but that never happened.
I've copped some big hits to the head and have never been knocked out, so I have a coconut for a head. But I hate that fact. Back in the late 80's, early 90's, I'd go to the nightclubs and walk home to sober up. So many times, I'd come across 5 or more dudes that just wanted to beat the shit out of someone, and because I was stupid enough to be walking by myself in the early hours, I was that guy. Man, I wish I had a glass jaw! I'd see boots swinging at my face while on the ground, feel the impact of every stomp to the ribs or legs. It really sucked I wasn't out cold. Yeah, at first I tried to fight my way out of it but learned it led to a bigger flogging, so I just copped it after that. But I have no delusions about whether or not I can fight, I can't. Not against guys that have trained. The ducking and weaving made it impossible to land a clean punch.
So in my 52 years on this planet, I've learnt a few things. 1. The guy who was talking less if at all when I came across those guys walking home, he punched the hardest and hurt me the most. 2. For a small guy, knocking out a big dude is a much sort after trophy, even if the big guy can't fight. 3. Not even trying to defend yourself leads to much less pain. Unless, of course, you are fighting against more than just a good flogging, Eg, they want to kill you or it's a bunch of gay dudes that will rape you once you're down for the count. *That last one warrants "defence by any means necessary." 4. If a smaller guy or anyone hits you and it doesn't affect you, just walk away. 5. Body shots hurt way more and for way longer than head shots and 6. I've seen guys walk around with their chest out, trying to intimidate people, pushing their weight around. If you can't fight, there is always someone willing to take you up on the offer to go outside and punch it out. More often than not, the bullies get what they deserve. Just don't do it. All you have to do is respect others, not put yourself in shitty situations, be a decent person, and you will be left alone.
WOW, nice, reminds ms of the days i got my ass kicked, well just a couple times, never underestimate your opponent, I had to settle for 2nd in an inter-school tournament for Tony Martinez Sr back in the day (mid 90's), well, I thought my opponent was fat and slow, but I never even touched him once, as I flew through the air from a side-thrust kick that landed me 6 feet away and 2nd place, WOW, you just never know man. .... ....
When down, get up again and again Wing Chun Masters.
Most forms of Chinese Kungfu are not meant to fight someone. It is use to exercise/work out the body.
I suspect that a lot of them were at one point rooted in more practical systems, it's just that a combination of no sparring and an over fixation on flash (IE graceful forms and "chi") eroded that basis.
By contrast, Boxing and grappling is 100% rooted in the practical.
6:12 okay, but who is there the mma fighter??? I only saw a person with mma gloves!!!
Love Xu Xiaodong =) Also, Tai Chi is a wonderful way to stay healthy as you age. But that's really all it's good for.

It almost seems like a religious belief when practitioners of nonsense martial arts have the faith to enter the ring.
Kind of what would happen to Stephen Segal.
30 year martial arts Master looks 18...
old vs trained young is just not fair lol. but these masters think they can beat these bigger and young trained fighters lol???... They are master and maybe they are good at teaching, not fighting. bring the young student against these challengers....
WWE learned from THEIR masters.
Typically, it seems the more satiny, flowing clothing they wear, to quicker they get knocked out.
Yo I'm pretty sure that kid at 9:50 is Fedor Emelianenko's little brother! It's absolutely ridiculous that some random ki-ai master would pick Fedor's little bro to get punched by, the delusion is amazing. I mean it wouldn't work against untrained opponents either, but come on lol
Also, was the McGregor lookalike was fighting Eddie Alvarez? Why would you disrespect a former champ as a nobody, you're only getting a worse asskicking that way
