I normally prefer real hardware and software but the shear volume of games and systems was a temptation for me. I bought one, looks way better than my gamestation that won't even run half the games, even when switching emulators on it. Thanks, look forward to trying this!
I used to love the OG star wars game that was in the arcades in the late 70's early 80's ...vector graphics and a sit down machine. Red 5 standing by 😎🤓
Lol,zx81 that takes me back my dad brought one home in 81 and that's what got me into computers. Remember programming it for hours just to play the first 3d game I had ever seen called maze. Needed a 16k ram pack to run the 3d lol. Still have it In the box, I digress, thanks for these videos this one brought back great memories. I'm sure I will be buying this just for the zx81 games lol👍

Hi John, love your vids! I just bought one of these. Could you PLEASE make a video about tweaking the various settings on this for optimal game play? Also how to hook it up and use the first time, Im a complete novice. You made one for the last version. Also can you recommend controllers for this? What is the best TV and size/specs I should look for? Hope that's not too much to ask, I just wanna have it correct so it's fun and not a headache. Thanks!!!!!
Ive said that exact thing b4 on another super console video John. I've been prices out of collecting for years. I can't spend cash like that with 4 kids. These consoles that are decent quality are a way both me and the kids can play without breaking the bank. Thank you
I haven't quit physical collecting, but I'm very particular. The game has to be awesome and not just rare. Alternately, several physical releases for homebrew are totally worth it.
Just got this in the mail. Be aware lots of games on here do not load some of the big titles on Mame. Some of the games load but the controls doesn't work. I am still happy with it for most part but u can tell it was a money grab and I was the sucker.
@@shanb76 that makes a lot of sense. I know my PS1 games from vimms lair are the redump set which are 1 to 1 copies of the games, with everything intact.
Or 3. The BIN file (or just the data track) was loaded instead of the CUE file, so even if the Red Book CD audio tracks are in the BIN file, they can't be played back.
The only thing I hate about these devices is it says 100,000 games which is true... but that usually means thousands of games for the older more easily emulated systems like the NES and Genesis but then only a handful of games for systems that I'd really like emulation of like the Saturn, Dreamcast and 3DO. Still though... it's nice seeing emulation available to the masses now unlike the late 90's when I thought getting Mega Man 2 to run on my families eMachine was wizardry lol
lol funny you mention Megaman 2, because at Macys department store ( just came back from there shopping) they had a plug and play Mega Man 2 joystick for $5 on clearance. I didn't buy it because I have no interest in it, but it's located in the toy section. If interested.
Great video John.🙂. I have noticed with most of these all in 1 boxes a few things. Most old consoles and portables run pretty much 100 percent. Whenever they toss Dreamcast, PSP, atomiswave, Naomi and N64, and 3DO and Sega Saturn , it's all a case by case basis or choppy and slow gameplay. I know lots of people love those systems I just mentioned but if I wanted emulate those in particular, I would get a good PC rather than one of these devices. With that being said, all of these wonderboxes, are great for the older systems and computers I spoke of.
Great review i really appreciated you going into detail and making sure that you got almost every console without skipping through them quickly. Lets game on, cheers. =)
I'm not going to lie, emulators isn't my cup of tea as I'm a physical and authentic collector. I can definitely respect the format as getting some titles are outta control with the cost of them. I'd like to eventually get one because at some point, all things come to an end and will eventually not work. Great job with the vid John 🤟🔥
I had the same issue with ps1 games not having sound. When I added ps1 games to it they did have music. I think it’s the file they originally put on them don’t have the music files
I am a sucker for these emulators...why not relive my childhood without all the hassle of all the connecting and disconnecting systems. I absolutely love these.
Looks really cool John. I was wondering if you ever figured out the ps1 missing sound? i have a raspberry pi and looking to upgrade. Your video made me curious about this product.
I noticed an audio problem on a PlayStation game, Akuji: The Heartless. The voices do not work. The voices do work in Spyro, however. So, I am not sure what the problem is. I changed the audio in Retroarch to sdl2 and that did not fix it. There is a large list of audio drivers.
What you are really paying for here is the convenience of having all the games and systems pre-loaded onto the machine. It's a decent setup for the price range, but there are drawbacks with some systems like N64.
Yo that looks great. In terms of no music for PS1 games... I remember PS1 game music was on the disc like a audio CD... I remember dragging the audio tracks onto my Windows desk top... Nightmare creatures had about 8 music tracks that also show up on a dvd player. 👍🏼
This is amazing thank you immortal one appreciate you as always may have to get this pretty awesome was thinking about everdrives or emulator carts but this has it all ready to go
I spent 2 g,s on a gaming computer when I could have bought this and a cheap computer to stream. I love my computer but to emulate this looks way easier and has a better interface than retro arch.
I do have the first super console X, got it for $50 and it supposedly has 30k to 40k games. The PS1 games played perfect. However, the real issue is that many other consoles such as Atomiswave, 32X and N64. The controls were not configured properly and I don't believe that you could easily configure, so this is one of the major downsides with this product. Hopefully, this version is fully configured button wise properly?
if you press select-y, you should be able to enter the retroarch menu and be able to configure the controllers to work for the n64. There's a few videos that show how to do this, here's one of them: watch?v=SjEARR9xopQ
The reasonwhy there is no sound on the ps1 games is they remove the actual music files from the cd image so it takes up way less space and thus they can squeeze more of them in there. Try downloading a cd image of any ps1 game and stick it in there and you will see there is music
This looks cool as hell... Does it have games like Mario Cart? MK? NBA jam?? Or more older games??? Is there anywhere where we can see a list of games???
How was Hydro Thunder on the Dreamcast Emulator? I am not going to pick you to death on each title for Dreamcast. That, and Crazy Taxi, were just my favourite games.
I have the Super Console X-cube by Kinhank, and they are not perfect. But I went into it wanting to get something just handy to bung downstairs on my TV for quick access. I couldn't care about accuracy so much. And yet it turned out better than I thought. I've had the occasional glitch and I've had to fiddle with the SD card contents, but other than that the games worked better than I thought, the achievements worked well and all in all it's damned good for emulation. Even the crappy controllers turned out to be quite reliable.
I also got the Super Console X Cube and really enjoy it. My only issue was that the Dreamcast version of Marvel vs Capcom 2 somehow got messed up and won't work.
@@scottmasin741 That will likely be nothing to do with the console, but either an issue with teh emulator used, or the ROM used. You should perhaps google what emulator is like online and see if there's issues with the game. If not, track down another ROM of it.
Retro gaming has become so ridiculously expensive it's just not an easily accessible option anymore to play the games on the actual hardware. This is one of the reasons why I had my Mini SNES hacked to add more games on it. I did look at something like this before, but the models always looked cheap and nasty, whilst the Mini SNES was a much sturdier build and already had a SNES emulator built into the thing anyway. These newer models do look rather promising though.
I can tell you for a fact that the PS1 games and SNES games run perfect on this device because I own the first super x console and it worked well. On PS1, just always played THPS 1 and 2, then MK trilogy. and Yes, I do agree with you 100 percent... Retro Video games are becoming too rare, too expensive, too old, and much of it does not work anymore; so to prevent further damage or your games depreciating by going down in value. Emulation is the key now to play all these retro games and the good thing about emulation is at least it preserves the games, because when physical copies become too old, it does not work anymore and then it will become extinct! Lol
John, what 3do games are included and can more be added easily? I love 3do but can never find an all in one with a large selection of 3do. Captain quasar was one of my favs
The price is not too bad especially with how much RaspberryPi's are going for now.. those use to be the cheap and good way to emulate. With what you get here, and the option to add/remove games, it's really not too bad.

Can u use different controllers for different systems? I bought the super console and u had to configure each controller and it still wouldn't work right
I would recommend that you spend the time to build an emulation collection of your own choosing. Last week, I installed batocera on a 2TB disk and I installed roms for SNES, N64, GameCube, Genesis, Sega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, 3DO, Amiga,Amiga CD32, Amstrad GX4000, Gameboy Advanced, NeoGeo, NeoGeo CD, Neo Geo Pocket Color and X68000. I boot this disk on a 6 year old Dell i7 laptop and runs perfectly.
I got this model and returned it a week later. It could not handle many of the games (starting with the 64 bit ones). The less CPU intensive ones worked fine but that pretty much stops you at the 32bit level of gaming.
Just got mine yesterday. A few things... 1- as u play a game sometimes or most of the time the menu pops up and says continue, save, exit , in the middle of the screen.. 2- now matter what I do it won't change the aspect...the top and bottom are half way cut off. 3- its says 2 player but the other controller even though its sync up u can't get a second player, and no button on the controller allows u to select player 2.... Help pls
Is this an ad or a review? What systems and or games can we expect won't run good on this box? What are the specs of this system chip, ram, storage ect?
I have the outmost respect for your vídeos, work and channel. You say that This is a "ready" solution for those who don't want it can do it... I agree... Having said This, you know that kinhank does his "sucess" based on free images that were "Taken" from a Brazilian guy called galisteu... Keep up the great work. Much respect.👍 Thank you. Again, love the content.
I have seen a lot of these emulators. They don't play all of the games very well and you have to spend more money to achieve this. But it's not bad for what you're getting even tho they are doubling the quantity of games. I have been looking at all the various devices and just can't find one that doesn't have the glitches in them. Thinking that I like the idea of just purchasing a powerful Mini computer with an outside hard drive with loaded games built into it. But of course the price goes up which for a lot of people can't afford. John what do you think? Thanks for the great video.
Does this device have the N64 wrestling games? Wwf no mercy and wrestlemania 13 are great games. I think WCW vs Nwo was also great. Does the psp side have lumines 2 naruto or mainly psp minis?
has 50,000 games if you get rid of the duplicates. I started at 117,000 games and now I'm down to 50,271 after getting rid of all the duplicates and foreign versions.
Ièm not done collecting but Im sick of hooking and unhooking consoles to play games if I can play all the good games without getting up and disconnecting one and boxing it up and unboxing another and finding the game I will be happy but nothing will be as good as the og games played on the OG systems that's for sure
I already own the super console X cube. And I do believe the memory card fried. is that what happens with these things? Forgive me, I am not a techie at all. but when I buy a little console that has 50,000 games on it, that works? Who doesn't bite on that right? I am asking you sir. Can you buy new SD cards that have all the games on it? I noticed that they send an extra SD card. Does that contain all games when the original goes berserk?
Yes, kinhank sells just those sd cards, but it takes a little digging on aliexpress. I ordered one bc I wanted to update my cube to 256gb. Received it but it didn't work. Was going to file for a refund, but kinhank said "please cancel, we'll make you happy." They sent another one and it worked, even had more games.
All of these cheap Chinese systems are flawed like glitches, sound, break and tear, doubles, etc. But I guess for the price is O.K. but it's got some fixing to do. Good review and cool video John!👍
I would not mind getting one because its a pain to carry heavy consoles and a bunch of games. That and i have some friends who have kids that love sonic and want to get into old games at least i dont have to carry heavy consoles and games.

For PS1 with no music, there are two possibilities:

@@bigplb2133 Yes, they have a link on several of the amazon sales page (to a google doc).
I Love collecting but like you said it is getting way to exspensive now...This is a Great Option...
Just got mine yesterday. A few things...
1- as u play a game sometimes or most of the time the menu pops up and says continue, save, exit , in the middle of the screen..
2- now matter what I do it won't change the aspect...the top and bottom are half way cut off.
3- its says 2 player but the other controller even though its sync up u can't get a second player, and no button on the controller allows u to select
player 2....
Help pls
Is this an ad or a review? What systems and or games can we expect won't run good on this box? What are the specs of this system chip, ram, storage ect?
I want this one
I have the outmost respect for your vídeos, work and channel. You say that This is a "ready" solution for those who don't want it can do it... I agree... Having said This, you know that kinhank does his "sucess" based on free images that were "Taken" from a Brazilian guy called galisteu... Keep up the great work. Much respect.👍 Thank you. Again, love the content.
This looks pretty awesome 👌👌
Looks amazing..I need that
I just bought a different system. It has 90,000 games on it. I sure hope it has grand theft auto. My favorite game.
Which is better though, this link, or the three other ones that look the same, sold at the same store? Hmmmm.
If it has no sound update the bios file for the ps1
Great video thanks 🙂👍
SuperGrafix has 319 games!?! Weren't only 5 made for it? Lol
The SG was backwards compatible with pc engine games. But it doesn't makes sense to relist games that should already be on the pce list...
Ièm not done collecting but Im sick of hooking and unhooking consoles to play games if I can play all the good games without getting up and disconnecting one and boxing it up and unboxing another and finding the game I will be happy but nothing will be as good as the og games played on the OG systems that's for sure
You’re wonderful and beautiful John. Thanks for the great content as always!
No the extra cad is for different functions.
These ones by Kinhank from experience are a bit better. They are flawed indeed, but they surprised me a bit.

PICK AXE PETE ON THE ODDYSSY 2 IS SOMEWHAT LIKE DONKEY KONG!!!
I would not mind getting one because its a pain to carry heavy consoles and a bunch of games. That and i have some friends who have kids that love sonic and want to get into old games at least i dont have to carry heavy consoles and games.
What about saving game progress?
Hey John are the ds castlevania games on there, and do they play?
Does the Odyssey 2 games have the Voice emulation included?
I PLAYED GOLDEN AXE ON MY SEGA GENISES PORTABLE NOMAD!!!
