I purchased 3 yards of white and sage polyester fabric at a wholesale outlet for $5 and I uses it to test before making my finish product. Yes, it does save you money and time.
The paper tip is a game changer! I’ve been trying to hack the system and always try to find ways to print 1-2 items on a page - especially when I’m printing something like a keychain or earrings. Thank you for this!!
Thanks for these tips. I had a feeling I had overcooked a tumbler because the text was brown. Now I’ll dig that tumbler out of the trash and do some black test strips on it😄
The smaller paper is really great! There would be a lot less waste if you only want to make a small sublimation design. The information that you gave on how black sublimates was really interesting and helpful. I didn't know any of that, so thank you!
Awesome tips from both of you. I have been using sawgrass paper in the epson printer, that may be part of the streaking problem, but, at least I am printing on the correct side. The envelop setting also helped. Thanx for all the info.
I keep a drawer labeled "Test Materials". In it, I put old T-shirts of different fabric types and colours, and I use them to test before I sublimate on a new T-shirt.
Omg! Angie thank you! This answers some of my question I encountered these like the small paper early today tried to use it but my Epson just spits it out even if I changed the paper size but I did not go to undefined so I will try that. Also I did not know about the protective coating 🙈 lordy 😂 But i'm sure they don't do those for polyester fabrics just the tumblers and hard materials right.
@@AngieHolden I tried going to the setting selected undefined and entered the size of the mug sublimation paper, it still just goes through it does not print 😩
Love your videos! Question, how did you make the shirt you are wearing - THERE'S NO STRESS IN CRAFTING? I am getting all twisted on the different possible ways and I don't know how to make the intricate/lettered tshirt designs or ones with a lot of disconnected pieces and not sure which is the best way to go?? I do love sublimation, but I don't like having to use an easisubli htv white layer for non-whites and non-polyester shirts, and the whole lining up the layers. DTV seems the way to go, but then I feel like my sublimation printer purchase was a waste. Also DTV doesn't seem to last long, based on your one video with the wash test that showed the decal cracking after about 15-20 washes.
@Angie Holden I have just printed my first T shirt I am so excited. Thank you for the hours and hours of vlogs of yours I have watched since first getting my cricut joy. Now have a maker and full size heat press and converted an Epson 1810 to be a sub printer. Next saving g fir an oven so I can do the larger bottles.
I always enjoy your videos Angie and have learned a lot from your tips. Sublimation has become my favorite craft. I don’t make things to sell, just for gifts and myself. I noticed your mug wrap didn’t have registration marks like I get when printing in design space. Can you recommend a better place to print from? So far I have mostly printed in DS. I’m slowly learning procreation my iPad but I’m looking for a simple way to print images for sublimation.
Hi Angie can you use images from cricut design space that you flatten and print out on sublimation paper then cut off the registration marks? Or do you have to upload sublimation png images? Thank you
Maybe add that the Sawgrass warranty on the printer requires you to use their very expensive sublimation ink only. I made the mistake of ordering off brand because it was less expensive and now my warranty is void. Customer service would not help me until I replaced the ink cartridges. I tried to save money but in this case it wasn’t the right thing to do.
I’m your professional opinion what is the best sublimination ink to purchase. I just bought my printer and I would like to get the best ink that will give me more for my money.
I am having a terrible time finding Epson sublimation paper. Sawgrass is working fine right now but I'd love to find Epson paper. Anyone know where I can go?
Heat Transfer Warehouse has TexPrintDT Light - Epson Sublimation Paper (TexPrint-XPHR). Dyetrans.com has Epson® DS Transfer Multi Purpose Paper for F170/F570 - 8.5"x 11" (100 sheet pack).
Hi I tried searching for the 5.5 x 9 paper the only place I could find is at dyetrans however when I attempt to create account the site does not accept my email. Idk. Can you tell me where you got it? Please and thank you

Thank you Angie❤❤❤❤
Great tips. Thanks, Angie! Looking forward to the sublimation camp.
Can’t wait!
Thanks Angie!!!!
Omg I’m so happy I found this video I literally decided to start sublimating today 😂 I feel lucky
I so wish I could join the live!! I’m a full time orthopedic triage nurse in a very busy clinic. I’ll have to catch the recording.
Thanks for the tips. Signed up, see you then.

Yep. That has happened to me. I changed paper to one for Epson and it was fine.
Thanks again for great tips! Respect from Arizona!!

Yes it is generally hard surfaces.

I actually bought that shirt. I would say DTV would work or EasySubli.
HI angie this is my first week of sublimation looking forward to this
Yay! Welcome to sublimation!

Hi Angie~ In your opinion which works better for making sublimation tumblers… an oven or a tumbler heat press?
Um they both do well! Tumbler press is faster for me!
I don't have a sub printer. Out of budget. Can stuff like this be done with ink jet printer? Video would be great!
Some things can be but a lot of these things cannot be made with a regular printer.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Hello from NY
Great video!!! Not sublimation related but what HTV did you use for your shirt! Thank you!
I bought the shirt!

I assume you are talking about an Epson EcoTank you will convert? If so, I have had good luck with Hiipoo ink but I haven't used others.
Hi Angie, where can I find the smaller size sublimation paper please?

Missouri
Hi. Can you show us how to create an embroidery look image using kittl, please? Thanks
Great information!!!
Thank you!
Where did you purchase the small paper from
I got mine from Conde.
On Sawgrass what papers are the A-type? Is that the A sub 125?
Various brands say they can be used on a sawgrass.
So how would I print from my 7710 the size is 11.1x 8.6 what would be the setting for that
Is that A4 size? I think that would be the setting.
@@AngieHolden I will try that.
I dont see a link for the smaller sheets of sublimation paper; can you update with the link ??
Sorry! I will update with some links!

Totally depends on what printer I am using but several brands work well for me. ASub, Hiipoo, Epson, WalaSub, and TexPrint.

I did get it from them. However, A-Sub sells a mug-sized paper on Amazon. You can definitely find it other places in a variety of sizes.
