I will always be amazed by how much trash gets pulled up out of the lawn every time I use a Scarifier! Join me as I scarify the main lawn here at Euridge to see just how much gets ripped out this time!
Due to such a hectic events diary here, this is the first time the lawn has been scarified in a year.
We usually hire a Scarifier to do the lawns here. Sadly due to the Corona virus, our local hire centre has been closed, So we took the decision to purchase a machine. This will allow us to carry out work on the lawns, without having to fit in with the availability of machines at our local hire centre.

Is it fixed or swinging blades?
Such a satisfying job. It is a fixed blade machine, which is absolutely fine for the lawns I will be using it on 😀

Looks like that lawn really needed that. Now you'll have some great material for the compost. Can't wait to see a video on that wheelbarrow. Is that 10 cubic feet? Cheated iron and minerals in a liquid spray will really green it up.
😀 Its has had a liquid feed with some maxi crop. I do have a little something to give it a boost in a couple weeks 😉

So you would normally do more than one scarifying pass? I did one small lawn and filled it in one pass.
Hi, It all depends on the condition of the lawn. How much Thatch or moss there is, as to the number of passes you would make 👍🏻
The Fully Charged Gardener the best description of my lawn is mostly moss, with some burn marks from the dog. I scarified my front lawn (single pass) and filled 1.5 wheelie bins and it’s about 80m2.
How long dose the battery last on one charge on the scarfying.
Unfortunately I have not yet had a chance to use the new battery Scarifier, so I don’t know.
if it wasn't so dry id add some iron sulfate. Bit of a strange spring this year super wet winter now super dry spring.
😀 it has had a liquid feed with some maxicrop. It really has been dry - see what the next couple of weeks brings 😀

Always amazing how much rubbish comes off even with 3rd pass. When did you last scarify?

It's not rubbish. Its too dense root system 😮
what a garden...one maybe stupid question: u get/pic it up all the garbage after with your regular mower?
In this area I use a mower to pic up the debris - it it is windy.
If it is calm I sometimes use a blower.
But the mower works fine.

@@TheFullyChargedGardener I buught Seppach scatifier with 5.7 horse power and it says that it should bw uswd in april and swptember. Someome says everytime when is not too hot. What is your expierience? Thank you in advance
@@TravelCarsPasicevoPhotography Most people tend to scarify twice a year, once in spring and once in April. Although a scarifier can be used on a high setting and used as a verticutter throughout the season.
Is scarifier should definitely not be used if there is a frost on the lawn.
If scarifying during a dry spell of weather, it is important to make sure the lawn is well irrigated after to help it recover.
Is this the same as “thatching”?
😀 Yes - it is the process of removing thatch & moss from a lawn.

Wouldn't be good enough or powerful enough for tougher jobs, also it wouldn't last long from job to job, as a commercial machine I'd avoid
How much would you expect to pay for a commercial machine?

Привет, коллеге из России, я тоже занимаюсь уходом за газонами, после прохода скарификатором, я сдуваю мусор Stihl SR450 в одно место и собираю в мешки, получается в 2 раза быстрее, и после этого прохожу газонокосилкой, она собирает остатки мусора
