The first prepper necessitates the need for a truck near a zipline just below the frostline on account that it will keep a chilled load cold for premium loads and a top score. Having your zipline laid out to deliver timed deliveries are a must
I delivered to every place, built the roads but I took all my brinklink at 93% and pushed all my materials up to the mountains and built this awesome grid zipline throughout up there. Most of the connectivity I had to use for the structures. Level 3 ziplines*. Took a long while!. Lol but managed to have 2 safe houses and shelter/generators/mailbox etc and multiple stations along my grid for easy access. No more walking anywhere up there for me. Took a long time!. Lol. Looks mint now. Below I have only a few things in the first 3 areas needed for my travels. The mountain was the biggest and deadliest walk each time. Got sick of it!. Now I'm gold*. ;)P
If you stick to the main story, which I did in my first play through, you miss out on some really great equipment. For eg. the backback cover from the collector.
I would suggest completing the roads that go over a river (like a river in between 2 pieces of land). Many are useless and a waste of resources/time. Doing them can be good because they wont use any of your Bike battery or exo skeleton battery. Highly advise only doing the story related missions mostly as you will unlock better vehicles and the Ziplines. Ziplines are the best, much better then roads.

I never thought putting non waterproof cargo in a high position, nice tip 👍

I would say, whatever you have the materials for to build, is def worth it!
