Will my 1992 Chevy Caprice pass its MOT?
For the last few weekends, I’ve been going through the things that needed sorting to get the chevy through its MOT.
When I bought it, it only had a couple of weeks left on the MOT, and then I went away for a week, so it expired, which wasn’t the original plan.
I knew there were a few things wrong with it when I bought it so can’t complain.
The worst problem was really the wipers. Now theyre kind of working. Well one speed anyway!
I just wanted to get it back out on the road. I’ve had plenty of projects that never got finished because I was trying to get everything perfect.
Well not any more! I just want to use it. Either I’ll fix it properly later,
or I’ll sell it and a future owner can sort it out.
So follow along as fix a few ‘simple’ problens (that took longer than expected )
Was it worth it in the end?

I can’t remember seeing one of those Chevy models before except in photos. Must be pretty rare.

The priority was to get the car on the road, but hopefully I’ll sort them out in the future.

Is it very fast? Must be pretty good being a v8 surely?

Unfortunately not. It only has a rated 170hp which is pretty dismal. Sounds good though!

Can’t you get a new wiper controller?

I think so, but not sure. Also to fit it you have to take the top part of the steering column out. I’m ok with it at the moment, so I’ll maybe do it later.
