It is easy to see why Prince choose Afshin as his friend. He seems very humble, dignified and of course very professional. The pics of Prince are very personal and by far the best of him. EXCELLENT WORK MR. SHAHIDI
I love the Gold Experience era as well. Wish more vids were released from that time.
Have to give you props here cos your interviews frustrate me but this was a great interview. You asked good questions, this time you didn't interrupt the flow and thought processes of the guest because at those times extra memories come flooding back and they're often gems. Because of my love for Prince I want to hear the real stories and many of your guests tell those real stories. You are flying the Prince flag and for that I'm truly truly grateful. Afshin seems a thoughtful humble guy would love to buy the book.

Hey Mandy I know what you mean. I went to Waterstones and they didn't even have the book for sale. I told them it's probably made the best sellers list by now. The clerk was surprised that it wasn't in stock especially coming up to Christmas. Also Prince in Hawaii had been withdrawn from sale. My beautiful son though has ordered me the book from Amazon as I'm a bit of a luddite so should get it on the 27th. Maybe you could get someone to do the same for you 💜

B B Not as many stories as Steve's book. A few fond memories but mainly lots of beautiful photos.

I want to say great job on your interview with a very interesting & informative guest, you held my complete attention from the begining to the very end. 2nd-ly Why not any questions concerning photo's of more passionate and intimate events such as more monumental moments in his life ie.....wedding ceremonies , family gatherings, baby showers ect. We do recognize that Prince led a more Personal & Private life his friends / fans will like a peep in on the real special times that should've meant the most to him. Curious Minds Will Always Like To Know!!!

The $2,796.000 price of the Prince in Hawaii book is ridiculously & unrealistically priced.....Quick question do you know if they are authenticated and numbered to hold some sort of value for future investments or resale purposes. And also do you own a copy of that book & if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for yours ?

tammyrules2000 Probably he didn't start with Prince until in the 2000s. Mayte is in Steve's book.
I noticed this too..Manuela is pictured..Shahidi started w Prince in 1993..Prince and Mayte married 1996. He says Prince selected/deleted pictures he did not approve of or like-I’m guessing her pictures were nixed (?) or, she didn’t give Shahidi permission to use.
