Thank you for the videos, my sticks now disappear on the tree. Nice tip on the sponge coat! Did mine with my 6 year old. Can't mess it up. Keep up the great work. Happy hunting.
just bought the camo paint I will be needing, going to attempt this tomorrow on my new lone wolf sticks & stand.. hope it turns out as good as yours! 👍🏼
That's the factory rope system and cleats that come on the Muddy Pro Sticks. I bought the 4 pack of these sticks for $139 from amazon.com at the start of the past season, and I really like them. They are
I will do this on my 4 Muddy Pro Sticks. One question I have for you after you used them is whether the spray paint getting into the cleat affected the cleat working on the rope at all. If it did, then I will just tape the cleats before I paint.
That was really awesome. A new technique for me to try. It literally disappeared on the tree. I like how your daughter schooled you in the video, "I told you 17 times" LOL.
Great video Greg. I am hooked on your videos sir. How does the paint wear over time? I am use to spray paint coming off pretty easily on other equipment. What about adding a clear coat afterwards to protect the paint from coming off?
The beauty of this style of camo is even if it chips and cracks over time, it won't matter. I used the sticks all last season and they look no worse for wear. Maybe after 3 or 4 seasons I'll have to re-apply? I'm not certain.
Have you ever thought or heard about anyone drilling holes in their climbing sticks to reduce the weight to look like the hunting beasts new climbing sticks?
Great family project on the painting, going to do this with my kids. Looks awesome!!!
+Bishop Archery when you do, send me pics.I'd like to post them on all my social media.
Great job Greg. I enjoy camo painting all my sticks and platforms.
It is nice seeing other people's techniques.

Appalachia: On The Hunt Thx man!
Yeah you better. lmao
Great video. My BIL did his lone wolf sticks the same way and I was super jealous of how nice they turned out! I might tackle this over the winter.
+Derek Kapa do not! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Now I want to camp everything.
Looks great. I need to do this to my climbing sticks. Added protection from the elements too. Thanks for sharing. New sub.
Good point about weather protection. I didn't even think about that!
Top shelf. Great job on the sticks and getting the young ones involved.
Glad you liked it!
Looks great!
Man they look amazing can’t wait to get my new sticks in to this to them and my new platform as well. Thanks for sharing

What rope locks are those? I like that system a lot.

Definitely doing this...will also do the same on my lock boxes for cameras.
It's super easy. You'll like it.
That looks awesome you 2 did a good job
Did the scent of the paint wear off or have you had any problems w deer winding them?
Can't smell them at all.
G2 Outdoors interesting
If I can smell it , deer can deff smell it

definitly going to be doing this
+Alex Hutchens makes a big difference!
Are you worried about painting the bushings?
Do you have to do base coat hawk sticks already gray just curious to if there was purpose for base coat or can I sponge away
Sponge away. You'll be good with the gray base coat.
great vid
What about the paint smell
What paint did you use? Mine were pretty smelly for pretty long time...
Regular spray paint. I left them outside for a couple weeks.
Wow. Looks really good. I'm too scared to try it.
Scared??? Why??? You literally can't screw it up. Buy the paint and try it on a piece of ramdom lumber first. You'll see how easy it is.
I showed you that spot like 17 times dad LOL
She's way smarter than me.
Have you ever thought or heard about anyone drilling holes in their climbing sticks to reduce the weight to look like the hunting beasts new climbing sticks?
Yup. Some guys over at SaddleHunter.com have been doing that for awhile.
