Great video man! Keep the content coming. Fall will be here before we know it!
Glad someone local is building something like this, hats off to you guys
Where you from?
Nice work. Stealth Steps are one of my favorite.
Great video. Helped a bunch looking for what sticks to buy. Thanks.
Good deal. What ones did you end up buying?
OK, thanks for the quick response's!
No problem, give us to follow!
Love the turkey clucking in the background. Lol
Great video. You're forgetting one. The XOP. Set up just like lone wolf but the locking mechanism on their sticks is by far the best
Thanks, and yes XOP makes a great set-up! Just a little heavier than the lone wolf. Good luck this fall and God bless
I personally do not trust cam buckles to hold my weight. Im looking to get my first set of climbing sticks.. any opinions on cambuckles slipping? Should I trust them like 99percent? If not im looking for other options or diy solutions. Awesome vid. Very cut and honest
Thanks your the input. And I’ve never had issues with the cam buckles slipping but like I showed in the video you can make a knot to secure it even more. These great options out there tho even if you want to make something yourself! Good luck this year and God bless!
what are some of the problems on the Muddy pro that you refer to on your post below, was just about to pull the trigger on a set but now have reservations
There was a recall on them in 2012. I’m sure if you ordered them brand new you’ll be fine. Here’s a link tho! saddlehunter.com/community/index.php?threads/muddy-pro-stick-recall.12302/
Awesome review. I am looking at the Hawks. You just sold me.
Hey thanks for the kind words and good choice the Hawks are good sticks!
was about to them from camofire for about $135, now I'm not sure if they are the 2 post set or the recalled/old sets
I would buy them new off amazon or Mack’s PW
Thanks for this info
I have and like the Muddy Pros but I'm having trouble with the Muddys kicking out on hardwood trees. Is it me or anyone else having this issue? Can you purchase different brackets that bite the tree a little better ? I also have the Hawks and dont have any problems with these sticks!
I haven’t had issues with the muddys yet. But I’m sure you can rig a better bracket up for it. The hawks dig into the tree very well, they’re a solid stick!
@@ridgeraisedoutdoors Thank you for the quick reply and great review by the way.
I can’t stand the muddy pros. I can’t get them to bite in the tree well.
I’ve been in the fence about ordering the Muddy Pros but the reviews and quality seem to be really inconsistent, so I just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Keep the review videos coming!
Battle Creek Outdoors I love them! I’ve heard things about certain model of them having problems but I have the old version. I’m sure they fixed the problem by now though!
@@ridgeraisedoutdoors I would think so, my climber does the job 85-90% of the time but it would be nice to have another option.
Battle Creek Outdoors yeah, my climber days are pretty much over after using the hang and hunt method the last few years. Plus it’s a lot safer than climbers. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask man!
@@ridgeraisedoutdoors will do, I can definitely see some of the benefits. A lot of it depends on what area a guy is hunting too. Keep up the good work man.
How high can you get with the hawk 3 steps?
13-15ft. Depends on how long you space them out. With an aider even higher
Any of these damage or effect the cambium of the tree?
Tommy Dean not that I know of
thanks man
I have the hawk helium’s with the buckle straps changed out for ropes like your muddy pros, I have the older helium’s without the suction cups though , I do like that stacking system better.
You did a very nice job, thanks
Thanks!
Is it possible to replace the rope on the muddys?
I’m sure you could. What would you replace it with?
@@ridgeraisedoutdoors replace the original with a new one after it wares out.
Yeah I’d imagine you could
Love my hawk sticks
Yep! They’re great for the price for sure
Good review.
Thank you!
Nice video brother
Thanks a lot!
Lone wolf sticks are the best if ya know how to use them.
how do u get over 20ft with just 4 sticks..im luck to even get 16ft with no add on..lol
Spread them out
I got the Hawks on Amazon for $104
Nice, how do you like them?
@@ridgeraisedoutdoors I hope so I just got them and I was just throwing that out there to help some people out because I know how it goes trying to make sure everything gets taken care of
Both look great unfortunately I can't buy either one because neither one is made in America I only buy American Products
Lone wolf is made in America
You better get off whatever device you’re using, sale your vehicle, and just live off the grid in a hut that you build… I know it’s nice to support American products and I do so when I can but cmon bud don’t be foolish
