I remember watching this episode when I was 5 years old and even then picked up on the fact that Lucy was playing hooky from her job to be at this one day sale.
@@lapidazuli8033that's insane I just bought a new one for 470 euros. It's a full-size fridge a little bigger than that one. I would never spend that amount 😮
Wow we have a fridge in our basement that is apparently like 50 years old 😂 thing still works but that was hilarious how it looked just like the one here
Year old video with recent comments. Wtf did youtube do to the shorts algorithm to cause this video to pop into feeds and lead them here? Lol. I remember watching these with my grandma. She loved this show and bewitched so much.
That would equal to over 2,000 dollars in today's time. Hell, I bought a 5-year-old refrigerator for less than 300 and it still works great meanwhile my sister had bought a 2,500-brand new refrigerator on sale that broke down 3 times in less than 2 months, thank god it came with a year warranty, so she didn't have to pay out of pocket. Sometimes cheap and old is better than new and expensive.
You really can’t take the time or year of a film, this show shows a lot of patriarchy and male dominance traits and that’s just how things were back then
In Lucy's defense, that refrigerator broke way too easily.
I hear it has a 5 year warranty, the shop will be fine
@@_ScottSauce That's only on the customers Benefit not the Shops
Probably unscrewed the door screws after the shop assistant showed it to her. So when she opened door, of course it automatically came off hehe
🤣🤣🤣🤣 the sign says “try our unbreakable plates”
Than she finds the unbreakable types, Wow 🤩 those plates do pack a punch 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She opened the door and it came off the hinges? What a rip off!
"No wonder they're having a sale everything is broken"
Funniest line I ever heard
"Like my life"
At this rate this department gonna be broke
50 years later and it' s still funny. Physical comedy is eternal.
Chinese stuff not being long lasting is still funny half a century later
"Eat warm food" 😂😂😂
Hilarious 😂. Something my mom would say too. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Can't miss a sale!😅
She’s got Hulk strength in them wrists to break a counter like that! 😂
Or it’s a cheap counter
That counter was imported from China 😂
2:15 for reference that refrigerator would cost $2,820.89 today
That's... actually fine.
@@jugemujugemugokonosurikire4735 You a millionaire?
Thats a pretty reasonable price for a fridge actually

More than 50 years later and this is still one of the funniest shows ever made 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They should just put this show back on tv no remastering or remaking just put it back out.
The complete series is on DVD.
People who remaster things seem to have a certain lack of something in their hearts... Can't put my finger on it...
No way, I bet a certain group will find something in that show that will offend them.
@@TheFreakJessie I don’t see what could be offensive about Lucy, but, you’re right.
The dishes portion is very popular on social media. I didn't know there was more to the clip! Very clever set up for that perfect punchline.
Wow we have a fridge in our basement that is apparently like 50 years old 😂 thing still works but that was hilarious how it looked just like the one here
This and Golden Girl's were both pinnacle entertainment!
Don’t forget “My Mother the Car!”
Yes!!! 🙌😊
"Imported China!" Oh no!!! Lol
Love this classic!
To be fair, it’s not her fault you don’t put the unbreakable plates next to the imported China.
Five Year Guarantee!!!!!
lol and ill bet it would still be running today anyways
If you’re paying nearly $3,000 for a fridge in 2024 you’re most likely getting a long guarantee with it.
And only 299.99$ lol, where I can get a refrigerator this cheap now
@@eboyjimnot true. Lots of 3k fridges only have a 1 year warranty
@@mikeliu4049People made like $1 an hour
I can't believe it, I laughed at half century past comedy skit 😂
To be fair why would you put the imported china next to the unbreakable dishes.
Talk about false advertising
😂😂He reminds me of Billy Eichner
Hilarious!
I almost died laughing. Totally choked on my soup at the end.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fridges are still basically exactly the same
She's female version of Mr Bean 😂😂
She is right!!😅
In her defense, the sign should’ve been turned around.
EAT WARM FOOD 😂
To be fair they should’ve put out two signs one for the Unbreakable and another for the China
They did say TRY! 🤦
1:04 Well, that wooden display rack is not unbreakable.
Why would you put the fragile china on the same shelf as the unbreakable dishes and then get mad when people get confused? 😂 do better merchandising
I am seeing some Diane Morgan. Lucy was the trailblazer. 😅
I am cracking up.. thanks YT for pushing this to me
That refrigerator has a 100 year guarantee

there was a youtube short with this skit but it was cut, well...short, so many people searched for the full skit afterwards, including me
@@snapcountersteerI did!
Lol ain't that the truth. Same happened to me 😂😂

You can’t blame Lucy, I mean why would they put the unbreakable dishes next to the fine (VERY BREAKABLE) china?
Gosh. Wish they made tv shows like this today. This is fun but today’s shows are so brainwashed stuff
$299 😭

Why did women really commonly have sucha raspy voice back then i think its really cute and im very curious
Probably cause they smoked a bunch. Nearly all the women I know with very raspy voices like that smoke a tonne.
Smoking was a fad back then. Hence why so many old women had raspy voice.
@@JohnSmith-hv6ksHow did you reply only 10 seconds after I did on this day old comment hahaha

Female Mr bean
You break it you buy it
Why they assume she broke it on purpose without seeing it? Maybe she dropped it by mistake.
