I always loved Lucy’s idea shortly before this board scene: “One of us could jump off, and a crowd would gather, and then she could tell the people I was up here!” LOL
I have watched “I Love Lucy” since 1951. I was just a kid but I said to my mom, it’s so windy up there, but the clothes hanging on the clothesline are not moving.
Classic bit. They did something very similar later in their career in the Lucy Show too - the scene with the TV antenna on the roof and again with Mr. Mooney in the tree house.
I remember watching these on a crappy television at my grandma's house back on Ohio. She only had one TV on the whole house, and it was in her bedroom. I'm so glad to have sat and sucking down on sugar cereal was what we did.
