The Burton Skeleton Key shares quite a few features with the Burton Custom, but with a much more obvious directional shape. It has a longer nose, short and stiff tail with 10mm of taper and a profile that rides like a regular camber board.
It would be a good choice for a ride-it-all board, that isn't super expensive.

Hey, Thanks for your nice and informativ Video. I would like to know how you filmed that video...did you use a drone? Anyway - great perspective. Good work!!

Thanks! It's the Insta 360 one x camera, that was filmed with a selfie stick that the camera removes by itself - ruclips.net/video/vAMSp02mVs8/видео.html

This was soft snow? This is a heavy pow day where I live (East Canada)!

We definitely got a bit spoiled this season!

The interior of BC had an unreal season. I rode my twin 2 or 3 times this year, the other 20 days were on the pow board...

Have you ridden the Kilroy 3D? Tossing up between that is the SK to bring up to Canada this season and can’t decide. What would you pick from the 2?

I haven't ridden the Kilroy 3d, but I would go for the Skeleton Key. The reason I would choose that is because it has taper, so you are going to get a much nicer feel in powder, as well as turning in general.

Bit late for me now, but comparison to Kazu? I thought this was more of a noodle and switch would be a no go, your review specs actually sound Kazu'ish though?

    • @SnowboardRobot

The Kazu felt quite a bit stiffer, especially in the tail. Both were decent riding switch, but I would go for the Kazu if you wanted something that felt all around more aggressive.

Can you d a review on never Summer boards or not your flavor

I don't mind Never Summer boards, though in general I don't prefer hybrid boards with rocker between the feet. I have a few reviews of them on my site, but no videos yet.

I got to demo a few of the 2021 models (Proto Synthesis and Protoslinger) a month or two ago, and I liked them way more than the previous versions, the new camber profile they have is way better.

    Skeleton Key vs Hovercraft ??

    • @SnowboardRobot
      @SnowboardRobot  4 года назад +1

Hovercraft if you are more aggressive ride and want to ride pow as much as possible, the Skeleton Key if you want one board to ride everything - and also pow days when you get them.

@@SnowboardRobot have you had the chance to ride the HTH?, one of my friends has the SK but I didn't have the chance to ride it last season as we, in our mountains had very little snow, mostly suited for 'not your hard earned money board'; hopefully, this year will be better as we already had some small falls so, in 2-3 weeks, I'll let the bike sleep for the winter and get the board. Actually trying to find/decide if burton even makes a better board than HTH(maybe the new, unusually expensive Straight Chuter or maybe I should man up and up-size to a 160 HTH, to have it more pointier..I don't know...questions-questions-questions :))) )
recently discovered you...., the music is not that engaging IMO but I do like your reviews and it is easy to understand what you say and identify board personalities from your descriptions. Keep up the good work man.

@@eugenux Thanks! I haven't ridden the Home Town Hero, though the specs/build make it seem like it is not a huge amount different than the Skeleton Key. It looks like it has everything I would like in a board - though if you aren't locked into Burton boards there are a whole bunch of Korua Shapes boards that are along the same lines. S-camber, stiffer tails, directional and setback with plenty of taper, I'm planning on testing a few of them out this season as well. It's always a hard choice buying a board you haven't been able to ride!

Broke 2 ribs trying to press it, forgot it almost has no tail

Awww how horrible... You didn't get to try the board in heavier snow. Poor thing...
