- Ernie K-Doe w/Allen Toussaint & Friends @New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 1992 Dew Drop Inn Re-visted "A Certain Girl" "T'aint It The Truth" "Mother-In-Law"
Im a 35 yr old white man from new orleans and this is the best thing ive ever seen
I was fortunate to finally catch Allen Toussaint live a four months before he died. He always kept a serene smile on his face. Topnotch classy man. RIP.
Saw him at his last Jazzfest and he autographed a picture that was taken about 10 years before of me, my sons and Toussaint at the Fairgrounds. I have many great stories to tell about times that I've met him.
All my teenage years at VFW dances in New Orleans had Ernie K Doe, Irma Thomas and so many great other NOLA artist
Ernie K- Doe was my father -in-law I miss him so very much he was the greatest man you could ever meet in your life was staying at 1026 North Robertson next door to Joe Cozy Corner he was singing at Joe Cozy Corner and he had a bar call Mother -in-law and when he was singing at his bar he was wearing his Uncle Sam's costume and when he passed away that broke my heart ❤ 😢 thank you for sharing his memories Ms Joy 💕 your new subscriber his wife name was Antoinette K-Doe
How often do you see a performance where the back-up singers and musicians are having as much fun as the audience? The one and only K-Doe!!!
This is a treasure!!
love that towards the end of "Mother in Law" , Toussaint is smiling and singing, and trying to get chick's t "mother in law" refrain on time haha!
New Orleans Kdoe is forever
Mr Toussaint wrote some great songs
cayogator He wrote em all him.
Lord have mercy
Absolutely Awesome!!!!!!!
Great to hear "taint it the truth" in concert. Love the horns on this song!
This needs to come with a warning 'Viewers Will Have Uncontrollable Smiles!'. This is awesome.
You just made me crack up laughing.
this is a very effective anti-depressent
I have seen Allen Toussaint in person with just a piano and no back up band. It was my favorite concert ever. I have seen him with a band and that can not compare
Thank you for this wonderful Post. Spike
RIGHTEOUS

my my nothing like this, love it
what a great way to spend the afternoon before all hell breaks loose in Georgia tomorrow! All pros here onstage...not a wrong note ever.
One of my only "claims to fame" was being taught 8 Ball by K-Doe at Sea-Saint Studios back in 1981 and beating him. P.S. He probably let me win.
Funky Heaven!
I'm pretty sure I saw the Baritone Sax player play with Mitch Woods at the Maple Leaf in January 2000. Boy they tore it up that night.
Andy Kaknes Mitch Woods is always fun.
Yes!!!
Mr k doe saw him at Joe's night club on plank road baton rouge in early 60s great show,,,,
Cool
I was THERE!
Deus me livre! surreal!!
Wish John Belushi could have been singing with them
that has to be Slim Harpo singing bass line on Mother in Law !
that's Chick Carbo from The Spiders singing the Benny Spellman part
No Chris Kenner
"Burn Kady Birn."
CHARITY HOSPITAL BABY BURN K DOE BURN DENNY R MAN
All good but the terrible screaming lyrics. Get a real singer in there.
You must not be from New Orleans.
