Hi Allie! I’m a faithful listener, I love your podcast and I think your content is indeed so relatable. I wanted to ask if you have considered adding Spanish subtitles to your videos. I’m originally from Colombia and now US established and I would love to share these with my friends and family back home. Unfortunately I don’t find any content like this in Spanish or with translations that I could share with Spanish speaking listeners. I realize how beneficial it would be for these sources to reach this part of the population urgently as we see the rise of socialism and progressive agendas in politics and churches in Latin America at a rapid speed as well. Thanks a bunch. Blessings.
This is a wonderful idea!! Our church supports missions in Costa Rica and they just elected a president who is quickly moving their country to socialism/ communism. My heart is so heavy for these people.
Johanna Stromberg lots of countries are (or have already) embracing abortion and the lgbt agenda. Costa Rica is very progressive, as well as Argentina. One of the big problems I see is the pressure from the UN, and for (some reason) Norway and Sweden through NGOs, to legalize and normalize these “human rights issues”.
I appreciate that you combine strong Christian teaching with serious political discussion. So often it is either all politics, or all Bible, it is great that you have combined the two. Keep up the awesome work Allie!
I would never want my sons to look at women this way when they are older. I also wouldn't want men to look at my daughter in any objectifying way. This world is whack, being respectable is frowned upon now and sadly this will lead to a generation of baby mamas and baby daddies.
Things like those are taught at the home. Men only treat women as a piece of flesh when women give off that vibe. However, if boys were educated to respect women and see them as more than a piece of meat, then they'll follow that same line of thought when they become men.
Loved this podcast Allie! Our kids are being dumbed down by social media. Sadly it is a huge distraction from what is really important! I am proud of you for unplugging. I get overloaded myself and have to step back. This weekend. I put my phone down for 24 hours except to text family and friends. What a true blessing it was. Clears the mind and deflates the anxiety and anger that social media promotes these days. So much for using Facebook to “connect” with loved ones. It’s always been part of the plan to distract us and keep the narratives growing. So grateful for your voice.
The blood of Christ doesn't mix well if you hold to critical race theory, because (according to the lie of critical race theory) it isn't powerful enough to clear the white of their guilt of privilege and racism, and it is unnecessary for the non-privileged groups as they can not be held liable for any sins, because of their victim status. But to those who hold to scripture alone, the key doctrine of the reformed Christian faith, Sola Scriptura, the value of the blood of Christ is immeasurable, and nothing in all of creation comes close to how precious it is. Because we hold that there is only one race in Adam, and under Adam's curse, we all equally deserve God's wrath, and as one race in Adam, there is only one thing in this world that can wipe away all our guilt, no matter what our gender or melatonin level is, and that is the blood of Christ. 1 Peter 1:18,19 "18 You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed-not by perishable things like silver or gold, 19 but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ."
Please do tell me about my white privilege. I grew up in domestic violence, I was sexually abuse when I was ten, I have battled breast cancer, survived an eating disorder, raised a special needs son and worked my butt off to above it all. No privilege here.
@@lindakiser7031 There is no white privilege. It's all a lie. It's sad that many churches out there are falling for this lunacy. I'm so sorry for what you've struggled over and I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers.
I truly hope one day Cardi B would repent and turn to the Lord. A more important topic in this video was about critical race theory. Allie was on point, this is one of the Marxist revolutionary ideology. It is not only endangering our country but also our church and our soul.
The screen time thing isn’t super fair, since it counts Audible as screen time! I listen to books constantly during the day while cleaning my home and taking care of my babies. I don’t think that counts as screen time lol
Regardless of how you feel about WAP and Cardi B's music, she is 100% correct that our education needs A LOT and I mean A LOT more funding! Anyone who thinks we don't need to prioritize funding for education has never set foot in an urban public school. From the ancient desks and chairs to the chipped paint on the walls to the lack of technological resources to the crowded classrooms to the quality of the lunches, our young people and our teachers deserve better. MUCH BETTER!
We can start with readjusting classroom sizes or not having school funding tied to zip code. I graduated a couple of years after no child left behind and guess what larger class sizes do nothing for kids
Love from Jamaica, Allie! I'm starting a course this semester called the Caribbean Civilisation. I got the course outline, we are assigned a book call _Staurt Hall_ by Annie Paul. My eyes bulged out when I was reading the synopsis and saw, "critical race theory" at the back 🤦🏾♀️ . I look up Stuart Hall, the man's a Marxist-sociologist and cultural theorist.
26min what you say is what we should be telling all our children, not the rubbish they are bombarded with constantly, by the world. Thank you so much. Bless you and your ministry and family.
It does surprise that limited government conservatives are in favor of funding the police. Cardi B has a point that we all want certain things funded that we like. The problem with both the left & right is they both have their pet programs they want funded. I’m totally down for cutting police funding and would have much more respect for cops if they weren’t hassling people over stickers, papers, plants & lights. The government wouldn’t get away with half of what they do if they police didn’t force it.
I also graduated in 2010 and I feel the same way as you, things were so different technology-wise and how the affects us even just 10 years ago! I also feel like I was so much more thoughtful and creative before I had a smart phone back in high school!
No I think it was appropriate because Cardib has lots of followers who will follow what she says. Candace brought light into the darkness. If Candace just touched one person out Cardib's million followers then as Jesus says the angels in heaven will rejoice.
I'm not but I am disappointed that she got down to her level in hurling insults. Candace is incredibly smart but she was acting like a fool, and does that often. I love her passion, but she needs to reign in those negative emotions, she's doing the same thing she's criticizing Cardi B of.
I really like your idea! Absolutely getting rid of the app for a few days to give myself a break. Samsung also has the ability to see time spent on various apps, unlocks, etc. I'm only a year younger than you and I fully agree about how we grew up. I was doing the same as you! Haha I think a break is good for all of us. ❤
Ruth Bruce How is telling the truth unkind? Cardi needs to be told these things and take them to heart so that she’ll wither 1) take it to heart and educate herself on politics and articulating herself or 2) stick to her music if she’s unwilling or unable to do that. Saves her from embarrassing herself like this. Candice or anyone else calling her out didn’t embarrass her, she embarrassed herself.
Steeve Cantave With all due respect, and I do agree that English textbooks are objective, it is extremely classist so rag on someone’s grammar and ability to speak English. There is so much more context to this considering the state of public education and accessibility in certain areas; specifically inner city schools.
The reason kids and teens don’t typically show interest in politics, or even local news, is because of brain development. The brain is not fully developed until a human is in about their mid 20s. School curriculum standards are designed around typical developmental stages in children, so deeper news or politics isn’t deeply taught. Politics are taught, just not at a deep level.
This "Cardi B," (you can identify people simply by virtue of those who take on streetnames imo), this Cardi B demonstrates a 6th grade level of writing skills in her back and forth exchange here. A typical namecalling insult slinging leftist who makes personal attacks that are not backed by facts. She is only parroting libelous character assassinating rhetoric and propaganda. Number 1 hit huh? So how many albums has she sold compared to past artists before the advent of the internet? Who says her song is #1, and what metric did they use to arrive at this conclusion? Just because DJ's are playing a song they're ordered to play by people pushing a certain musical demographic, what number of people are actually listening? Myself (and I'm not the only one I wager), I intentionally seek out and listen to music from the past, music from newer alternative artists nobody has ever heard of because their style isn't in line with the industry's offering of black culture. How's that eh?
Gonna help you the reason why they had him interview with Cardi B was because she has an audience with a demographic of people that is largely apathetic about politics and that stayed home and did not vote in 2016, and historically does not vote because they feel disenfranchised and largely feel like nothing will change. It’s interesting that you referenced the urban community when it came to policing and then would ask the question of why he would sit with Cardi-B, but I think it’s apparent that you and most conservatives don’t understand the pathology of urban communities like the one Cardi-B is from. You say if she cared she’d want more funding of police, as if she’s not from the hood. Urban communities have had long history of mistrust of the police. Urban communities do not cooperate with police investigations, urban communities are extremely reticent to ever call the police. So it’s not that she doesn’t care, she is reflecting the attitude of the community from which she comes. Without understanding the lived experiences and reasons behind police mistrust, there will always be an impasse in these conversations, which is why we are where we are today with this. In preferring our brother and sister part of that is hearing them and not dismissing them, that part is missing. God bless!
Thanks for all you are doing Allie to address current issues like CRT. God does not see CRT but sees imperfect humans needing the love of God to transform them in a fallen world.
