Hey, thanks for the vid! I feel validated running a tac14 all the time now. I do have a question I hope you can answer though: Does bullet pen allow you to hit weak spots through a tallboy's body? Or does it calculate all damage when first hit and then the bullets pass through to hit things behind it?
Can you analyze cards and their updated effects since game will not change. Even your most recent videos from 1 year ago has obsolete card descriptions and I am wondering how their effects might have changed. I got back into playing a month ago and used your videos so I am doing nightmare mode with half a medic build and half shotgun or sniper with Tala with relative ease. I am sure you are playing newer games but I think others would like a farewell update on your thoughts with the last changes to Back 4 blood. I wish we could control the computer companion better and have them carry objectives…thank you!
Makes the game approachable when you understand how the game works and the cards function. I don't really see another channel putting this level of effort into explaining the game. It can be intimidating to the casual gamer, and having some info to inform deck builds is invaluable to actually enjoying the full game
I'm starting to think you have more hours clocked on "calculator" than you do b4b and I aint mad about it. You out here doing God's work and it's super entertaining, keep it up.
Your videos should be the benchmark for instruction and video editing. No BS, no pointless rambling, and best of all, you get right to the point. I love your videos man.
A lot of people ignore the Tac14 but I've started using it when I looked up the chart online and I noticed that even with 3 shots it is an awesome weapon, good power and high chance stumble, high range for shotgun too.
@@tht1gye80 Yeah. You need to spam click the same card and potentially get 3x the same card. But you need to be allowed to carry 3 or more cards. So if it says, pick 1 card. It won't work. Say you join mid game and it says pick 7 cards, you can do the glitch. (Yes, it consumes 3 card slots) so afterwards, you can only get 4 other cards. I hope I made sense. It's better if you had an external help like a macro (PC) or a mod pack for controller (console)
You need to understand that you help out the community so much, I literally build my cards based around all the information I would’ve NEVER figured out if it wasn’t for you
He uses the card multiplier glitch. You select your cards real fast and it let's you multiply cards that cant be multiplied. I haven't seen a video where someone beat nightmare without using some kind of cheat or glitch.
I've already been running a deck like this in nightmare, but everyone I get queued with wants to speed run. Thank you for making this video! Stumble has been king since beta, but I havent had a way to show anyone.
Devs made the game so bad I quit, after the countless glitches, nerfing cleaners, severely buffing the special infected, not fixing the special infected spawns, and more, this game is more like Back 4 Disappointment
Tac14, in general, shreds mutations. Just think about it, a blue tac14 does 202 damage per shot. 1 good shot in a tall boy's weak spot is over 500 damage. On nightmare Monstrous Crushers only have about 1300 HP (a little less actually), you can immediately free someone in 1-2 shots with some damage cards and a blue Tac14 (3 shots without anything). I recently unlocked Act 3 on Nightmare by randomly QP into a Heralds of the Worm, wiping once and everyone leaving, staying by myself and finding a Purple Tac14 in the shop, and almost soloing the entire level (I had a guy join in when the Ogre was around 10% health left and I was getting pushed into the safe room). The amount of monstrous Mutations they throw at you in that level is insane, and the Tac14 with my shotgun build was basically just 1 clipping the lot of them. The damage per shot on that thing is only rivaled by a Barrett. Yes, throwing bullet stumble on that bad boy basically guarantees most mutations get stumbled although if you have Buckshot Bruiser, then bullet pen isn't a bad upgrade either. That experience is why I don't subscribe to the 100% accuracy shotgun builds. You can do enough damage IN a spread without it. Maybe AA12 or Super 90 will benefit from the 0 spread since they have lower damage per shot and making sure every shot lands is all the more important, but the Tac14 shreds despite the spread and benefits a lot from it IMO. Particularly when also dealing with common. Your only weakness is Stinger class, which can be rough, but you have a whole nother secondary slot to potential deal with them (I personally like the Tech9 or even a Deagle).
The thing that is never factored into these videos is the fact that you need to be at a level that has all these cards unlocked and you need to be lucky to find that equipment. Then to top it off, if you play with randoms, you need to get the attachments before they just snatch it up
@@MidnightSlasher You can add the weapon scavenger to make weapons appear more frequently and at higher tiers. You can also run double main weapons card so you can get the weapon with good attachments on your sub weapon slot to strip its attachments when you can.
Unlocking cards doesn't take long at all... I have every card unlocked with only 3 days of play time. Also, you shouldn't be playing Nightmare with randoms.

One thing to keep in mind with showing builds on Nightmare is, that you will never have 15 cards available (excluding Act 4). Act 1 has 14 Cards max. Act 2 has 12 Cards max. Act 3 has 12 Cards max. Thats because not all Acts have enough levels to get to 15 cards, and failing and restarting a level on Nightmare does not grand another card compared to Veteran or Recruit. @@Chato829 what I'm saying is that confident killer is a flat 15% damage. Which translate to 15% on regular hits, and also 15% extra on weak spot hits as well. Awesome video, are you able to explain why superior cardio is a better pick to crosstrainers? I would of thought the move speed bonus from crosstrainers would been more impactful.
also there's a card in there that gives you your secondary weapon infinite ammo it's called ( ammo stash.) It's an offensive card and give your secondary weapon infinite ammo with the trade-off as your secondary weapon at reloads 20% slower and it works with pistols I love using it with the beretta M9 burst pistol combined with the extended fast mag. Turns into a mini pistol machine gun but that just me
do damage buffs (from cards and the like) even increase the amount of stumble you cause? your video claims that it does when you add in your damage bonuses from cards like silver bullets, but statty says "the amount of stumble damage a hit does is calculated by taking the BASE WEAPONS damage (of its respective quality) and multiplying by the base stumble damage multiplier". it makes no mention of flat damage buffs, only referring to a weapon's damage (and obviously the stumble damage attachment still works).
I have quietly been using the Tac 14 for a while now because everyone thinks it's garbage. Now I'll never get another one cause all the pubs will snatch it. Have you thought about Hunker Down instead of one of the accuracy cards? That way you can clear horde and then jump crouch for more accuracy.
Was hoping to see that he had actually shown that shredder works for team bullets, as nothing in the card clarifies either way? For sure in my digging through Reddit threads, Shredder doesn't stack. Just really wish we could see if it does give teammates that damage bonus.
Ok, so having Shredder and a shotgun means as long as you keep firing, at a breaker let's say, you and your teammates will keep doing 15% more damage. That's cool but what if your other teammates also have this same card + shotguns. Does that mean that this breaker will constantly take 15+15+15+15= 60% MORe Damage?? . I Don't have friends in b4b so I think this is worth checking. (Sounds like a game-changer to me)
Weapon scavenger could help u get the purple stumble. Ask a friend to run it. My friend was playing Karlee and I got incredibly lucky getting purple stumble and blue compensator Act 1-1.
Ya, a lot of people are commenting "no purples until later", but i run weapon scav and we find blues and purples really early into an act. Almost all weapons are blue by mission 3 with a couple purples here and there
How do we feel about bullet penetration? I run assault rifles preferably SCAR. Fully topped off with my cards and a 150% bullet pen attachment I'm pushing 500% pen stacked with glass cannon, 50% weakspot damage, 15% damage buff from confident killer, and another 30% from patient hunter. It takes a good couple levels to get topped off damage wise but it absolutely shreds. The only drawback is having to remain aware of the things behind what your shooting lol
Awesome video, thanks for the info... Too bad the devs are going to nerf everything stumble related now because they don't actually want anybody to complete nightmare. 😕
thing about dificulty in this game is about resources really. the frustratingly unfair dificulty comes from the game thinking its fine to throw bosses and super buffed specials when you only have 2-3 cards available to pick and they will probably be economy because you need it to further build your buffs by the next safe house that will have even thougher enemies. i honestly want the cards to be less polarizing but it would also require corruption cards rebalance as well as rebalancing the specials. the devs really didnt had a good grasp of the numbers they were putting in this game and the first patch made it even more of a mess.
On console I built a shotty deck around the tac-14. I actually had to decrease the accuracy because I was getting clean misses at close range and that just seemed weird. So I keep it around 80%
I read that there was a glitch which meant that if your accuracy went above 100% then it would start to get worse, but that it's been fixed in the December patch.
I though damage increase cards didnt effect multiplier for stagger. Been running a max damage sniper build and been struggling to stagger with it. Shotguns seem to be the way for reliablen stagger builds due to multiple fast shots.
This could work as well by replacing the weakspot cards to the bullet damage/damage cards or find a way to combine the 2 in a deck sacrificing all mobility and copper cards
I do believe that using damage cards would add to your stumble damage, where as the weakspot cards do not. So that could be a fun way to take the build.
Hey I primarily run Doc when I play. Loved your video about Doc but have you ever thought about a “Combat Medic” build? One combining both offense and defense? What would that look like?
Shredder is such an underrated card, I swear. If you get someone with a shotgun or LMG and that card? Specials do not stand a chance. They get eviscerated.

You’re a genius👍 thanks for sharing
take a shot every time stumble is mentioned in any of his recent videos lol
I though damage increase cards didnt effect multiplier for stagger. Been running a max damage sniper build and been struggling to stagger with it. Shotguns seem to be the way for reliablen stagger builds due to multiple fast shots.
This could work as well by replacing the weakspot cards to the bullet damage/damage cards or find a way to combine the 2 in a deck sacrificing all mobility and copper cards
I do believe that using damage cards would add to your stumble damage, where as the weakspot cards do not. So that could be a fun way to take the build.
You could become a madman and run glass cannon for that juicy 25% damage bonus!
Perfect... we know now what the devs will nerf in the next patch...
Hey I primarily run Doc when I play. Loved your video about Doc but have you ever thought about a “Combat Medic” build? One combining both offense and defense? What would that look like?
Hey Swing is this also good on AA12?
Shredder is such an underrated card, I swear. If you get someone with a shotgun or LMG and that card? Specials do not stand a chance. They get eviscerated.
im still gonna sprint, but it's cool that the hitscan plars have something to shoot at tho
