I'd definitely say add the med cards he mentioned in the video and shuffle it up.
Keep in mind that you'll get enough copper between burn cards and you'll be getting support slots during gameplay. I usually end up with 4 offensive 3 support 2 Quick. The max I've ever had in a game was x8 in a single slot.
Here's a fun one to test. I dropped into a game and took over bot Doc. At the waypoint I switched to Holly but I could still "heal" a person once per map like Doc.
Yeah it seems that if you join a game late and replace player, you keep their cards (including the cleaner card) once you pick your own deck and cleaner at a saferoom. It's not all good though, because one time I joined and replaced a Mom and when I swapped to Doc for the next map, I wasn't able to revive people at all. Some sort of bug occurred with Mom's instant revive ability

Probably the reason why medical expert isn't additive has to do with class type. It's a speed card rather than a combat card like Emt bag and field surgeon. These cards add up while medical expert multiplies because its a different card type category.....maybe?
The reason is that TRS dont make sense with these cards xD

As my groups dedicated doc, I get reasonably upset when people use healing items over me using their healing items on them.. I get infinitely more bonuses to this stuff and it tilts me I can't get it through randoms head, "doc good, gimme your heals"

Doc has become my favorite character. I like that she can heal the team because I suck. And back in Evolve I loved being the medic or the trapper. Your channel is invaluable in understanding this game! Because of you I was actually able to make progress in nightmare difficulty playing solo. But I still suck online as a teammate. Good news for me. I was too lazy to rework my pre-patch doc build which already has most of these cards
I genuinely love these informative videos, I didn’t even play RE: Resistance back then but always found thrills out of just watching & admiring the research. Regardless of the flaws this is my kind of video game & I’m very lucky to have Swing show us all the way to kick-ass & have fun. You’re incredible!
would like a similar video breaking down the effect broadside gets from damage cards. same with a new stumble video... the stuff in this video doesn't really affect too much but it's funny that there are little quirks happening only 2 patches in.
You mentioned you tested group therapy. However it doesn't actually benefit from healing eff like you say. Unless of course bots react differently to real players from group therapy. I tested on bots.
I tested it and noticed that healing myself makes it benefit off healing efficiency but healing others makes it heal 8.
Wow that's really strange
Just completed a match on nightmare act 2. And at the start it was 2 of us and 2 bots. Then 2 other people joined and they said they were able to pick over 70 cards each somehow lol. Their stamina went across the whole screen and insane amount of health

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but if you walk backwards (marathon runner) you are not slowed down from holding heavy items (propane, artillery, etc).
I've also heard that group therapy derives its healing efficiancy bonus from the target that's getting healed, not the one using the item. If that's true (no idea if it actually is) then the team only heals for that much more if doc uses the items on herself.

She always is one up over mom, even on Nightmare Doc only needs to take Needs of Many and she already does what mom does except better.

How do you intend to remove a bug from the game, then mention that in the patch notes, and then completely forget to actually remove the bug from the game? How does that happen?
EEMT removed Trauma again when you used a continue. Looks like they only fixed one bug and it removing Trauma is intentional.
@@NeZCheese I don’t think it’s a bug since you lose the bonus max hp as intended so if that extra hp is trauma it still shaved off that extra part it gave you.

Some bug has been happening to me where our 4th leaves the match and I get another 4th to replace him and when our new 4th joins in they get double the cards the other day I had a melee build leave the game and somebody with a speed deck joined in after him and they came in the match with 30+ cards they had the full melee build along with the speed build all in one and he was unstoppable lol
There is a card that will have 50% healing effect to youself when you use medical item to the others. Take this call and the call with 8 group healing card
Then you heal other you may have much feed back to youself then you can be the tank as well

Yes but generally going down is Reaaaaally bad, so having a card that benefits your team a little off of someone going down is kinda detrimental since the idea is not to have anyone drop period as a healer.
@@draconiandraco Unrealistic, its good to have an option and plan B when people go down, not to mention it actively helps allies that are still alive to survive. If you don't prepare for the worst you'll just wipe.
@@draconiandraco I'm a healer, not a miracle maker. Sometimes the team gets swamped and all hell breaks loose. I'd rather my team have unlimited ammo, heals, stamina boost, etc. To help deal with the mess.
If one person has went down, it usually means I wasn't able to get to them for whatever reason. I'd like my team to be in a good position to fix whatever that reason was.
Ah so that’s what was going on in my game when someone took pills and suddenly everyone got topped off with temp health! I was the one playing as doc though....

do the trauma work with heal efficiency? like when you have First Aid Kits that heal 5 trauma if you havte 100% heal efficiency do it make 10 trauma? and for crad like the one who heal 15 hp and 15 trauma per lvl do it work?
The group therapy healing efficiency seems to only apply if the doc player is the target of the item… because of course it’s that weird

Marathon Runner uses no stamina when u go backwards!
Just so everyone knows to Proc the Group Therapy + Healing Effiency, the Doc has to apply the Heal to themself. It does not work if they try to heal another Teammate, it will just give you the base 8 HP.
I did some further testing on this after hearing about it. The healing efficiency applied to group therapy is applied based on the target of the heal. Tested by healing doc bot, would heal me 9 to 10 each time. If heal target had +50% heal eff. It would proc a group therapy to all people for 12 health.
What's your Doc deck? Also, are the quick item cards (belt clip, etc) in a normal supply line? Or in the seasonal one? Ive yet to see them

Whats your best doc build?... Even with the nerfs i still use the "immortal melee build" but id love to run doc more.

And do you heal for each person healed for GT or just the one instance? That sounds nuts
but question is how do you heal yourself twice with all that healing efficiency ? Grey bandage with all that is 63 health on yourself and pills are 100 temp health, there is no way you proc it more than once (since it doesn't work by healing another person) and by the time you get the all those cards unlocked you generally have at least green medical accessories.
That's an interesting thought. Probably not the smartest, but cool meme deck idea. Keeping your support items grey specifically for AoE healing, rather than upgrading support for single-target healing.
I’m very grateful for how much you bring to light about the hidden mechanics to this game! But damn is this game really convoluted behind the scenes….
It really needs to be that all stats that are of the same name stack additively from cards, and then multiplicatively with the *sum* of team upgrade cards.
+10% damage resistance should cancel out two -5% cards. But it doesn’t. The math checks out slightly in the player’s favor because they do some percent-of-a-percent nonsense instead of adding all the DR together and giving a value at the end.
Same here-healing efficiency should stack additively from all sources. This is ESPECIALLY bad when one card stacks multiplicatively for no apparent reason and with no indication.
Cards with different stat names that effect the same name should stack multiplicatively.
Two +20% melee efficiency cards should give +40% melee efficiency, but if you stack a stamina efficiency card with a melee efficiency card then the sum of one type of efficiency stat should be multiplied by the sum of the other type of efficiency stat.
It really sounds like each card they made is individually coded to change stats live as they happen rather than updating a table of player stats (efficiency, DR, melee stumble damage, bonus pen, etc etc) whenever a player’s active card list changes.
But don't you heal trauma between levels now? Is he sure it's not patched and the new trauma recovery healed him
He is testing on NM and on NM trauma heal between levels is still 0.
Weird I figured out the group therapy + pills when I played swarm mode. Now they've made group therapy just as strong in campaign, and I never really considered the healing efficiency, it seems kinda cheesy. Also, if you look at the base speed buff, I wonder how much they really nerfed speed run strats with the cards?

What is the difference between running Experienced EMT and the heal between levels they were supposed to increase?
for most players EMT is better than Safe Room recovery.
pretty simple math. 10 pct of your max health is > than 7. EMT is better, otherwise saferoom recovery.
We’ve put 2 coppies of saferoom recovery and 1 copy of EMT accross our team and we do not have trauma between levels.
Stacking up some well fed and the extra health from emt starts to really make a difference in how many mistakes our team can make, and the better players can stack glass cannon on them for an extra multiplicative damage category.
Does the healing efficiency effect the 50% back using Charitable Soul?
Kinda. You get 50% of what you heal for so if you heal someone for 40, you gain 20 but if you have efficiency and heal for 100, you gain 50. It does not affect the percentage I don’t think but you indirectly heal yourself for more if you heal more
@@Grebolexa very effective, my doc deck is entirely built around selfish selflessness. My pain meds can give people 90+ temporary health, while I "only" get 40-50. With poultice, there's also hp healing. With group therapy, it works wonderfully. I'm working towards a pharmacist deck, to further maximize pain meds, but the patch made pain meds infinitely better I think

I had yet to test it, but I figured it had to heal trauma somehow, even if it were less effective. Like, the other way around, it could end up taking health from you when you move into the next saferoom, which didn't seem right. Thanks for the info! However, from my testing (both offline and online), healing efficiency does *not* affect group therapy. I had Doc, Field Surgeon, and Medical Expert, and using a bandage on another only took my health from 102 to 110. My max available health was more than 110, for clarity's sake.
Edit: I tested it under various conditions, and I could not get healing efficiency to affect group therapy. Card order, type of accessory used, etc.
You are partially correct about Group Therapy, healing efficiency does not affect the healing done to your party members, however the 8 healing that Group Therapy does to yourself (when you use an item on yourself), does scale with healing efficiency. Makes a lot of sense right?! xD Numbers in this game are all over the place, although i guess we have known that for a while...
I got it to work by having the cards for one mission not work, then the combo started working the mission after.
If you heal others it doesn't proc, but if you heal yourself it procs healing efficiency and heals others from my tests.
My friend invited me to the last level in chapter 1, i loaded in and it picked majority of my deck baring maybe 2 3 cards and gave me 30 something draws after, that is definately something new with the patch i ended up with about 20 health cards should look into that one
This happened before the December patch, it's happened to all my friends and to me.
Someone joined my game late into bad seeds and they were able to pick 34 cards lollll

They broke the game. When i joined quickplay i sometimes get 40cards and i get cards from the previous bot. I went bomb deck and still got bullet dmg... its fked up

So basically the only important thing I learned from every b4b video he made:
Some card are stronger than you think because the word following "damage" or "efficiency" are slightly different
You should make a guide for solo players, cus I’m sure the strategy there would be a lot different.

Every time they update, things are unintentionally broken, or they slip in silent “fixes” without listing them, that have made me have to rework my attack approach every single time. I just want to enjoy this game and I feel like the creators of it do not want me to.
