Cheers Dancetech, I'm into more deep, underground House & Techno, But You can't please us all, But Full marks for stepping into Dance Music, I hope this is the start of a new series, There's plenty of us out here, Most tutorials seem to be Rock & other Genres. So full marks, Your tutorials are always deep and dope man, more, please!!!
This video is a big job. If you're lucky you'll get as much as this in a music schools first hour and a half. Seems to be correct with building rhythm as the main focus.
Ye Old Fart.. that just about sums me up too. Only dance oriented band I really liked was Transglobal Underground, who made more interesting music, at least for me, than most of the others. But watching this series, 'cause "Ol' dancetech" is always worth watching/listening to.
Coming from an experimental / rock background this is eye-opening. I've always wondered why my attempts at electronic music have felt too artsy. The whitening.
I was getting down with mi'bad self listening to it - lol. Nevermind dancetech, should change it to Armin Van Leasing. Very good. Brought back memories of step-programming a Roland R8 drum machine into the early hours. EDM seems to be more formulaic these days than it ever was. Even Deadmau5 never has much good to say about it. Chemical Brothers are still coming up with the goods though & it's all about context isn't it? Needs to be experienced in a club environment. That bit in The Social Network when Dennis de Laats' track The Sound of Violence comes on never fails to blow me away. The bass off the Blu-ray is just sub-terranian
Hi man! I’m starting from zero, I’m not a musician (learning to DJ) and never studied music, although when a kid I was playing by hear few stuff. What suggestion would you give me to learn music theory and a track structure? Are there any tips on RUclips? Thank you heaps!!!
ok, i realise this might be a bit wanky, but for total noobs i think this stuff is important.... get the roots.
Did it for me - always something to take from a dancetech tutorial. (you did forget the mentally speeded up snare before the drop though)
Hands down, THE GREATEST TUTORIAL on dance music of all time! Thank you so much!
This is brilliant. For musicians transferring to production and teaching themselves - this video is essential.
Superb, back to basics with captivating results. Thank you: exactly what I've been seeking as a starting point
Takes me back, especially the Pad sound. This turned sounding pretty good. My head was nodding along. (love the claps)
Great place to be, thanks. Never enough DANCE. 👍👍👍🎧👍👍👍
honestly cant thank you enough for all your vids, obvious wealth of experience being passed on. cheers DT
Thankyou for taking the time to do this - enjoyed the lesson. Always learn a couple of new things.
38:38 golden rule ❤ I’m always struggling not to lose the good stuff… no patience to do a build-up… thx for this !!
Just absolutely fabulous as always... You keep me in the game!
Excellent video thank you so much !

Another old guy here late to the game, but I’m liking it. Sounds cool. I know little about EDM, but now I think I could make some.
i love this guy!
Epic tutorial. Thank you very much!

I’m a musician that’s into tunes but I find your teaching always interesting and learn something from it.
Thanks for doing this.
