Daily gratitude is so important. It really helps me too. My favorite time is early morning with my coffee. So quiet and peaceful. It gives me a chance to catch up with my favorite RUclipsrs.
Margaret, simplicity is its own beauty, and it looks lovely on you. I have done a lot of de-cluttering of my makeup and realized , like our clothing, we tend to use 10% of our “stuff” 90% of the time. At 72 years young, I appreciate the process of de-cluttering, donating or just ridding myself of extra stuff. Now if I could only keep from purchasing the newest and greatest! I do so enjoy using makeup and presenting the best version of me. Feeling and looking my best is a boost for me. No makeup will make me look 40 again. I’m not buying into any of that. But I can look the best , and feel the best that I can and know that I am taking very good care of me. Thank you for all you do for this beautiful community. Have a great week ahead. ❤💄
Thank you for showing us your morning routine Margaret! I love seeing the makeup products you love and I am going to try they mascara if I can find it! You are absolutely beautiful inside and out. I love and appreciate you and all you do for us! ❤
I love seeing you in curlers. A few years ago, In Arkansas the Maybelline company merged with Revlon. I’ve used Cover Girl most of my 70 years… I use a white primer on my blonde lashes. Then a blue, brown, or black Maybelline mascara. My mom taught me to not use hands to apply makeup and don’t put foundation on the forehead. Use sponges or brushes to apply. Wash brushes and sponges often. One of my daughters modeled as a teenager…she was taught the same. Eyebrows frame the face. I’ve had mine tattooed but the need to be refilled every few years. They were due to be done during covid so I’ve let them go. I apply brow powder with a very small art paint brush. You are so beautiful.
What beautiful feedback. Filled with all kinds of memories and important lessons. Learned for you. Thank you so much for your kind words and for your lovely compliment.
You are so sweet, Margaret, sharing your life with us. It was so cute to see you in curlers. So many of us can relate. We’ve grown up similarly using many of these products. I will save this tutorial to purchase some of the products you’ve mentioned. Have a wonderful new week until next time. Thank you. ❤️
Breakfast for me is a good strong coffee, and toast or a croissant. Coffee is actually very good for you. By that I mean one or two cups not twelve!! I go easy on the makeup. Less is always more. Moisturiser, light makeup, neutral eye shadow (cream colour, champagne colour etc) and a hint of brown mascara, as I am blonde. And a discreetly pink lipstick. Lunch is very light, and then a good dinner in the evening.
❤ like you, I wake early before the world wakes and make a cup of green tea pour in stainless steel mug to retain heat and have my morning devotions, reflection, and praises. Next comes daily essentric stretching exercises to limber up. Bob's Red Mill headquarters is in MilwUkie, Oregon. It's a great store and has a wonderful breakfast/ lunch restaurant. Also, people can schedule a tour .. Milwaukie is a town just south of Portland, Oregon. I raised my sons in Milwaukiie, and Bob and his wife were wonderful people and cared about the health of mankind. Love your makeup tips. My must have make up is olive oil, an eyebrow pencil, and lip balm. Oh yes, eye shadow that you taught how to use on previous video. Thank you for being you and all you do to enrich our lives as we embrace aging .❤
Thanks for a lovely video, I found the skyline primer and mascaras a few months ago, they are the best, I love my make up, I am 73, Since I was young I have looked after my skin and it has paid off. Best tip I would give is to always take your make up off before bed, never sleep with it on. My name is Liz, watching you from Scotland x
Years ago I used the Olay Covergirl foundation, at that time I think it was Olay tinted moisturizer. I just purchased it because I love how light weight it is and it’s all I need on this. 68 year old face of mine. 😊
Wonderful oats to start the day, Margaret. I have the same, even in the summer. You’ve reminded me about Velcro rollers, thank you. My hair is so thin these days ( was never thick ) and I’ve not used Velcro rollers for years. Going to give them another try. Thanks so much. Loving your daily routines 💕
Wonderful! Yes, Velcro rollers are my lifesaver now that my hair is so thin. Just putting them on for half half an hour makes all the difference in volume.
Hi, yes I agree but I only use then once a week ,and after brushing I use got to be powder rub in roots then stile ,from amazon after a few days it get thicker each day ,or dry shampoo they are amazing, and my hair is thin,I only go to the hairdressers every 5 weeks for a trim and roots coloured and I am 80 😅❤
You are just too too precious Margaret! You should’ve posted a before and after your make up at the end to see the beautiful transformation that you just did of yourself in under five minutes. I enjoy your videos so very much. Thanks for being…you!
Love the makeup look with your ten must haves. Margaret, please do a tutorial using the Makeup Forever palette you showed. I’ve been thinking about buying it but would love to know how you use it. Thank you 🙏
I didn’t know about sea salt spray for hair, thanks, need to get that. Love your video, really love simplifying make up and other things as well. I got the Loreal lipstick you mentioned recently, a pink mauve , have used it for blush too, thanks for all you show and tell!
So glad you found the L’Oreal lipstick. I have seen as much recently, so hopefully they’re not going to take it away :-) I’ve never tried it as blush as a great idea.
Margaret in curlers: oddly enough I double-pin curled my locks the night before. Woke up today with a very short and tight curled Shirley Temple 'do'. What a hoot! It fell through gravity during the day. Grand Suprise! Laugh like the bejesus, Almost thought should off on a day. We have more in common than we know. No worries, I'm a Canadian gal. And you? Have you yet joined Patreon? Don't have to answer if you don't want to. Just hanging loose together. Cool be from Canada 🇨🇦
I enjoyed this video! I've never worn makeup except for mascara and eye liner sometimes. Never really neaded it. But lately, at almost, 74, my fair freckled skin has begun to go crepey - no deep wrinkles, but a fine net of them all over. Unfortunately, the foundations I have tried make these fine wrinkles show up more, not less, so other than a good moisturizer my skin is better bare. You look great ! 💖
You’re a joy to watch.❤ Thanks for sharing your morning makeup routine with us. I would need to have foundation Eye shadow, lipstick and Mascara if I had to start over.
Really fun to watch just like a PJ party. Most days I don't wear any makeup but I love makeup products. I've been using Estee Lauder or clinic a long time thank you is there any way you could write those products down especially the moisturizer
Margaret I love your videos. You look beautiful glowing makeup too. I wake up early top gets things done on my to do list out of the way then only will I do creative things tgatbring me alot of joy. I don't usually use makeup but been liking eye maleup minimilistically applied concealer doesn't like me so I leave it out a little bronzer and blush very little just a dust ive never tried foundation or tinted creams xx
Very nice, Margaret! I have the cheaper version of the Makeup For Ever palette, which was $12 on Amazon...I don't shop at Temu. (I know you had shown their version for $5..99). It works just fine. Anyway, I love your motivation and passion for makeup. I'd have to think about what I'd buy to replace my products, but, concealer would probably be one of the first things. TFS... finished look is lovely. I always enjoy a GRWM. Stay well..hugs. 🙂 Rosemarie ❤️
Great video. As we age having glowing skin is anti-aging ... try Loreal Pro Glow Foundation and or Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. Makes your skin look radiant!
Thanks Margaret - I really like Maybeline Full N Soft mascara - and have trouble finding it but like it as it feels soft and not hard/clumpy and doesn't irritate my eyes. Yet to find the holy grail foundation! We don't always have access to a lot of brands in NZ too.
Love u with your hair up (in curlers) 💕 also just a thought re eyebrows-I’m curious to see how making a straighter brow might affect your look. I find a straighter natural looking brow results in a more youthful appearance. You look beautiful as you are but I’m just curious 🤨 to see the difference on someone else. Thank you so much for your lovely channel. ❤
@@patriciam.909 I’m sure she’s tried, it’s her natural eyebrow shape, as ours is. My aunt had eyebrows like that. They match the shape of her face. Margaret might have to go to a an excellent professional in order to change how we think they should look, which would be very expensive and maybe Margaret doesn’t want to or she’d have done it by now maybe. 🙅♀️
To be honest, I’ve gone back-and-forth with the two. But I still prefer the essence better mostly because it’s so affordable and I genuinely prefer the finish sky is lovely though

😅Thank you Margaret. I've neglected your vlogs lately but Im back now. I do love your channel. You are always so positive. I was wondering, do you use Retinol? 😊❤ Regarding reasonably priced makeup, I have found the Boots 17 (UK) do very good nakeup and its really cheap. I love their Primer. Its the best one Ive tried and their mascaras sre good too. I love their mascara wands. My foundation is M.Assam Miracle foundation. It adjusts to your colour and has great coverage. I buy from QVC and the pot (which is big) hss lasted for about 3 years so works out really reasonably priced.
What brand are the makeup brushes that you use? I’m 68 & I’ve never worn foundation; just a little blush and some eyeshadow. How do I choose the right shade foundation? Also, what makeup remover do you use at night? (I use the ponds cold cream as my moisturizer). Whenever I use mascara, no matter the brand, it smudges under the eyes giving me raccoon eyes. I'm 67 and I use wetnwild photo focus foundation and I also like the tinted hydrator. Boots no 7 also have good foundations and you can get colour matched in store.
Do I remember that you reside in a studio apartment? The rent keeps raising each year where I live and I’m seriously thinking of moving to a studio apartment. I am hesitant though because I just don’t know if I could live day-to-day in one room. How do you find it?
I love it! The only thing i would look for in the future is a balcony. The room is perfect but i would love to be able to step outside and sit in the sun - maybe a plant or two :-)
Unfortunately, most facial creams and serums have hyaluronic acid in them. I am highly allergic to it. I haven't found anything to use instead. Any suggestions?
Margaret is always so positive and uplifting - making everyone feel better - she takes great pride in her appearance - without fuss or vanity. I think the curlers are a great idea to kick start her super-fast morning makeover. I love to learn from her and find her inspirational. To me, Margaret is younger than her years - in appearance and style, outlook and sense of adventure. I am 11 years younger than Margaret but I feel totally on the same page and would love to have Margaret’s outlook in the future - I think she rocks 🤘

Thank you so much
I’m 68 and hope I look as good without makeup as when/if I reach the age of 75.
You are a lovely lady and have beautiful eyes. Have you ever considered having your eyebrows shaped by a professional makeup artist?
No, to be honest I’ve never considered that :-) I’m very happy with my eyebrows just the way they are.
Most of my items come from ELF.
Margaret... what about make up for us who wear glasses...
Yes, it’s a good point point. We should do a video on that.
Hi Margaret….Nobody wears curlers anymore . Women now use “heat rollers” . I am 13 years older than you but sometime you sound like you’re 90
There's always one.. isn't it..🙄🙄
