Our kids live in a very busy city with lots of traffic. While caring for our granddaughter we purchased a darling little rabbit harness with a leash. She knew she had to wear it when she was with us and never complained about it. It was scared to death that she’d run into traffic without it. Sometimes people said really derogatory things to us about it, but a lot of people thought it was very smart of us to keep her safe.
I love the rug, as a matter fact I think that may be one that I had in my cart for a while when I was shopping for a rug. I must have had 10 in my cart at two or three different sites until I made my decision. Yes, formula has been locked up here for years, along with batteries, laundry detergent, over-the-counter medications, pretty much most of the store. However, I live in a fairly large metropolitan area and if I go a little out of town to a more affluent area their Walmart doesn’t have everything locked up make shopping so much faster. Also, they made several of the Walmarts around me all self check a couple of years ago and now they’re changing it all back and adding in cashiers and registers and getting rid of the self check due to thievery. When they put them in everybody tried to tell them that’s what was going to happen.
Yes, my "baby" will be 50 in November. So both of my kids will be in their 50's. And i remember feeling old when the youngest became a teen! How silly I was.
Margaret, I've been meaning to mention this, but always seem to forget! I wondered if you had considered in-floor heat for your new bathroom. I know your winters get cold. Our retirement home does not have a basement and I'm guessing yours will be built on a slab, which makes for cooler floors. Having in-floor heat in my bathroom has been absolutely wonderful. It's easy to control and heats up quickly. I told my husband if I were buidling a new home, I'd seriously consider putting in heated floors, throughout. Just wanted to mention it.

Oh my gosh, I had no idea that they're guarding the formula at WalMart. The world embarrasses me, too, Margaret. Lord help us! I'm 70 and have been helping watch my 4 and 2-yr old grand daughters since they were born. I would actually check on some type of halter system because they can get away from you so fast! Glad to hear you say you're feeling well. That's a blessing!
I agree with you Margaret about putting the stairs outside and having your house on the same level as Mike and Nickie's. That's so wonderful that you can live so close to them!
I too buy that “crap” toilet paper! It last so much longer than those other puffy rolls. I live by myself also so only my best friend complains about it.

Even if you hadn't verbalized it ,to me, you are radiating it is very clear that you are in a good place, and I am so glad that all of your hard work to get to this point is working well and you get to be with your wee one making fun life memories. Some time when you're out shopping a fun thing to look for is a fisher price lawn mower that blows bubbles so you can both mow the lawn together, she may be a wee bit young yet but you will both have fun doing your yard work together. I do agree sometimes the world today seems to suck but this is what we have so l say l do me and you others do you hopefully this can work out without each other and at the very least we can learn from different ways because we all know there is more ways than one to do anything. Water tables are fun for the little ones. We had an adorable pirate ship for our Grands. Put it on the grass, fill early to let the water warm and they have a blast. It had boats and water wheels for hours of fun.
I am a twin. My Mom had harnesses for us. They were red and fit around our waists with suspenders. Our brother was two years older than us. Could never blame her!
I had twins. There was a time in their lives when I wouldn't have dared take them for a walk without a harness on each of them. My fear was that they would take off in different directions. Didn't want to take that chance...didn't care what anyone thought!

Margaret. If you End up struggling with mobility being on the ground floor make more sense. You will be stuck inside. You won’t be able to get yourself up and down a ramp. You’re just not going to do that. If the few steps inside the house do create a problem you can install a chair lift.
HI Margaret. My husband is just like your father, arrives early and leaves in 10 minutes if he can. Whenever my husband has been stopped he is just like you, admits what he was doing wrong and they always let him go without a ticket. Congrats on the little one walking, now get those running shoes on. I love Wayfair to get a rug, delivered to the door. You are right, if you and your family went out to eat it would be 150.00 nowadays. The rug lasts much longer and it's nice to have something you enjoy to look at and it looks great

Hi Margaret Great update video. You look so content and happy. I'm going to zone in on 2 things. I feel you about your youngest turning 40 and in your mind you feel that age. My youngest and only daughter turned 30 in Feb and I still can't wrap my head around that as well. I was 34 when I had her and for years I always said I felt 35 even when our first Grandchild was born and she is now approaching 17 next month. It seems like yesterday I was enjoying my teenage daughter and new grandchild at the same time and I was having a ball with them both. It was like I got to relive my daughter experience through my granddaughter and yet still enjoy this amazing relationship with my daughter turning into a beautiful young lady. Now they are both young ladies and I'm like HTH did this happen. I'm feeling older now for sure and lost without them both on a daily basis. They both are too far away from me. I miss them dearly everyday. I miss their company and laughs and hugs and cuddles. So enjoy every minute of this precious time with your baby as you so sweetly refer to her. Because that is how it feels like she is just as much your baby but you get to sleep fully through the night and your lovely daughter-in-law does not lol Sorry so long winded. The 2nd thing I wanted to share with you is when my granddaughters were little I remember seeing young parents with their little ones with these cute little animal backpacks with a short leash for the parent to hold on to so their toddlers could walk independently and no little arms were hurt. Not saying a quick run on their part wont bring them down on their little tush though. Amazon, Target or Walmart should have such a thing I'm sure. Take care Margaret I'm done! lol 🥰

I love your new rug. It looks pretty. I used harnesses when my children were little, but that was 30+ yrs ago. I don't know if they're okay to use now. Times change and people get angry because they think we're treating the child like an animal, instead of realizing we're trying to save the childs life. 😊

Hello Margaret! My mom had pictures in the early 50s with me on a leash, at least we were both very well dressed. I thought it was awful until I had to chase my grandchildren 😮. Great Idea, secures on their body no tugging arms. Yes, times are getting crazier locking items following you to checkout. I always thought formula was so expensive. I didn't use it breastfeed also most of my grandchildren were but it's a necessity for some, prices are insane. Toilet paper is ridiculous but I'm with your baby (lol) 2 ply and I bought a different less expensive than chsrmin double roll and it's not as good I noticed the difference. Hopefully next time I shop I'll remember. Glad the architect was able to have the plans but definitely being prepared with cost of options seems logical & really not time productive to have to meet again on same issue. The steps outside even if bit more costly sounds better to me ...just mt thoughts especially if later may need ramp (already making things wheelchair accessible). Boy i give a lot of opinions. Did you ask? I think you did otherwise sorry. Congratulations on the baby taking her 1st steps 🎉. Boy you work so hard; you're a blessing to Mike & Nikki and are fortunate also to be around the baby. Less than 3 weeks ago we thought spring was here and then we got 10 inches of snow. It was gone in 3 days, and then it was nice, but now it's cold again. I got my strength back last year when I started eating red meat again, and loved mowing the lawn! I think I saw that rug when I was searching for my living room. It looks nice!

Hello Margaret. Just a couple of things to say. You can buy adjustable threshold ramps and they are not dear or ugly. I have 2 batteries for my mower and the has a cover that holds both batteries one is active and the other is inactive so if I run one out the other one is on hand. Save a lot of time and stops me from kicking the mower. Just in case you’re wondering “No mowers were harmed in this movie (text).🙄. Formula became more valuable than a weeks groceries as some countries during Covid could not keep up with supply so were buying it in big bulk batches from other countries. This led to a shortage in some countries. Yes I don’t think it is the case now but erring on the side of caution. Love the rug! You got a 2 way bargain there it was cheap and it is really nice thats a victory for you. My mind set is from my daughter….Mum it is what it is. Her way of saying life’s too short. I may be being rude here but I don’t like the attitude of terrireynolds952. Anyway of to hang the washing up….I’m Not Done. 😉

No, Margaret, "Things have not always been this way", at least in my 75 years of life experience. I have found that people have become more and more, let's just say, "frank". One of the reasons I stopped being on Facebook is because it felt to me like a "slam book" we had in Jr. High School. So, for my sense of not wanting to know what everyone thought, I got off and never went back. I'm sure, however, you will be able to moderate/handle it and the "frank" people will buzz off. I was in a gated school zone at 7 pm at night in summer. Speed sign is posted 40 unless, UNLESS kids present. 7 pm at night, no kids. I was doing 42. Officer disagreed about no kids sign. I convinced him I was correct. He didn't ticket me. I knew the law. His shoes were shiny so a newbie looking to give a ticket. My mind says I'm 40 as well. Keep at it girl. Yard work ROCKS.

I love your new rug. It looks pretty. I used harnesses when my children were little, but that was 30+ yrs ago. I don't know if they're okay to use now. Times change and people get angry because they think we're treating the child like an animal, instead of realizing we're trying to save the childs life. 😊

Hello Margaret! My mom had pictures in the early 50s with me on a leash, at least we were both very well dressed. I thought it was awful until I had to chase my grandchildren 😮. Great Idea, secures on their body no tugging arms. Yes, times are getting crazier locking items following you to checkout. I always thought formula was so expensive. I didn't use it breastfeed also most of my grandchildren were but it's a necessity for some, prices are insane. Toilet paper is ridiculous but I'm with your baby (lol) 2 ply and I bought a different less expensive than chsrmin double roll and it's not as good I noticed the difference. Hopefully next time I shop I'll remember.
Glad the architect was able to have the plans but definitely being prepared with cost of options seems logical & really not time productive to have to meet again on same issue. The steps outside even if bit more costly sounds better to me ...just mt thoughts especially if later may need ramp (already making things wheelchair accessible). Boy i give a lot of opinions. Did you ask? I think you did otherwise sorry. Congratulations on the baby taking her 1st steps 🎉. Boy you work so hard; you're a blessing to Mike & Nikki and are fortunate also to be around the baby. Less than 3 weeks ago we thought spring was here and then we got 10 inches of snow. It was gone in 3 days, and then it was nice, but now it's cold again. I got my strength back last year when I started eating red meat again, and loved mowing the lawn!

Hello Margaret. Just a couple of things to say. You can buy adjustable threshold ramps and they are not dear or ugly. I have 2 batteries for my mower and the has a cover that holds both batteries one is active and the other is inactive so if I run one out the other one is on hand. Save a lot of time and stops me from kicking the mower. Just in case you’re wondering “No mowers were harmed in this movie (text).🙄. Formula became more valuable than a weeks groceries as some countries during Covid could not keep up with supply so were buying it in big bulk batches from other countries. This led to a shortage in some countries. Yes I don’t think it is the case now but erring on the side of caution. Love the rug! You got a 2 way bargain there it was cheap and it is really nice thats a victory for you. My mind set is from my daughter….Mum it is what it is. Her way of saying life’s too short. I may be being rude here but I don’t like the attitude of terrireynolds952. Anyway of to hang the washing up….I’m Not Done. 😉

I was afraid you hadn’t remembered to show the rug but you did remember! I love the colors and rather abstract pattern. It would look great in my bedroom with the quilt I have so I think I will check Mayfair and Amazon. What you said about formula being locked up reminded me the heartworm medicine is locked up in Pet Smart too, craziness!! I have found rudeness is totally acceptable for the one being rude, until they become the object of someone else’s same behavior. No, Margaret, "Things have not always been this way", at least in my 75 years of life experience. I have found that people have become more and more, let's just say, "frank". One of the reasons I stopped being on Facebook is because it felt to me like a "slam book" we had in Jr. High School. So, for my sense of not wanting to know what everyone thought, I got off and never went back. I'm sure, however, you will be able to moderate/handle it and the "frank" people will buzz off. Of course, not being on Facebook, I haven't seen your new rug but I'm sure it's great. Rugs have made all the difference in how my rooms look, rugs and pillows!❤Kathleen

I knew the law.
