    Some information I got from another Digital Nomad agent: Even though you on the Digital Nomad Visa can travel outside the country freely, your spouse and other dependents who are on a family reunification visa must stay in the country for 11 months out of the year. If this wasn't the case, I would take this up in a heartbeat.

    What If I am a freelancer and I have many various clients?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад +1

      Unfortunately, it’s much more difficult for a freelancer to get the digital nomad visa. You would have to consider the nil corporation.
      We did a video on residency options in Montenegro. It’s in our Montenegro playlist.

    This was helpful. If I understood correctly one can get a 2 year residency with no tax liability on outside earnings? As long as you live/stay in Montenegro for 6 months out of the year? Or 6 months in a row? 🤔💰👍

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад +1

      That is six months out of the year or not six months consecutively.

    I love your videos ❤. Thanks guys. I'd love to move to Mintenegro but I only speak English and Spanish, do you think I could survive there without the language?

      Thanks! Yes, we don't speak Montenegrin and we survive perfectly. Google Translate and the English level spoken here are all you need:) Thanks for watching.

    What I was trying to understand based on the requirements for needing your own health insurance etc. is if that means only people working for another company can apply or can sole proprietors, freelancers, etc. also get this visa?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад +3

      There must be an employment agreement not simple income statement to satisfy the monthly requirement for income.

    I am self employed and all my clients are individuals.. no company contract. Can Montenegro deal with this? Spain says I have to be a corporate contractor so I cannot go there. What does your expert say?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  21 день назад

      Unfortunately, as we understand it, you must have a written contract from an employer in order to qualify for the nomad visa.
      We are happy to put you in touch with the Residency expert if you wish to speak to him. I know that this Visa is new and laws are changing all the time in this country.
      If you would like to get in contact with him, please email WarrenJulietravel@gmail.com and we will get the information to him

    IMPORTANT question and we simply cannot figure out a valid and workable answer or solution.
    Have seen most of your recent videos on low cost of living during slow travel (fantastic work by the way) but how does one do that without selling our home in the US?
    Things are getting so expensive so fast over here that even if the house is paid off, taxes + HOA + homeowners insurance add up to a big chunk every single year and therefore add to your total annual cost of living. On the other hand, I worry that if we sell the house now and then want to return to the US to be closer to our families after 3-5 years of slow travel, we would never be able to afford another house at current rates.
    Don’t want to work until we’re too old to travel but also want to do the financially responsible thing. What do you recommend?

    Would a 58 year old female with alimony qualify for the retirement visa? I get well over the 1350 per month.

    • @littletravelmonkey6727
      @littletravelmonkey6727 2 месяца назад +1

      $1350 is roughly 1270 Euros in today's exchange rate. Montenegro may be an ex Yugoslavia state but ever since it adapted Euro, price has gone up a lot on par with portugal and Spain. You can get by with the amount of money but can be a bit tight,especially in costal towns such as Budva,Motor etc. Realistic anywhere in Europe including less expensive countries like Serbia, Bulgaria etc you probably need at least 1500 usd to be comfortably living there, with a few exceptions like Albania, Bosnia, Macedonia which require less. It's just my observation and opinion.

      I think if I understand correctly you are asking if your alimony of 1350 makes you eligible for the visa. There are a few ways to obtain residency. Please email me at warrenjulietravel@gmail.com and I can answer some additional questions or get you to our expert.
