Hello I’m doing the 02 SXT to SRT4 swap but keeping the AT. What harnesses did you swap out ? So far I have the engine harness, main underhood harness and the instrument panel harness . Do I need anything else ? Any information would help a lot .
i've never did one and kept it auto as the at wont handle the power level of the turbo engine long as all srt4's came manual trans and having people ask foe auto ones if i have 03/04 pt to part you would need to mod the pt wiring with the neon wiring to make every thing from the pt work in the neon the trans ecm location fan set up window switches ect would be a learning curve as the ecm controls the auto trans and the engine
I thought the srt4s wiring inside the car was the same and only the engine wiring harness was different? Why pull the whole dash? I’m currently doing a swap from an 05sxt to 05 srt.
its good that both are 2005 wiring will be the same. Its a lot easier to pull the dash to install the front harness that has the fuse box they are different and if you need to change the peddles or want to change out the booster ect..
Matt's need for speed I believe I’m going to pull the dash during the swap and throw a new heater core in while I’m there. Thanks for the videos. Have you ever put the sxt front bumper and hood on the srt swapped cars? I’m wanting to keep it looking sleepy.

My srt is a 2004. My dad is really handy in garage . Has a shop at home and is gonna help me but just wondering if you know anywhere I can get body panels cheap I need a bumper . I am starting to dismantle the car today and it be awesome to keep in touch
Well front bumpers and hoods are hard to come by, and usually not cheap. Now since you’re going from an 04 to 05 you will need to swap the body harness over they have different plugs in 05. I do have a Facebook page matts need for speed and be messed there also.
youngmoney565 harness is not a direct plug in I would think you would need the entire car harness? As far as the ecm if it’s a manual it will start and run the car the coolant fans and speedo will not work if using all Srt4 wiring, I’m just referring to a simple install because everything is available and plugs right in I’m sure if you do research and spend the time you probably could make the pt wiring work
@@Mattsneedforspeed ,. Question: if the ECM does not match the SXT SKIM or the VIN, will it still run " if" you don't reconnection the SKIM? I heard (internet gossip) say that. Thought being the ECM will look for the proper one, and if it's not there it will keep running, but once it finds the wrong one it shuts down. I know you can get the ECM programed to the SXT SKIM and that's going to solve my problem. I also know that for a price, Some shops will send someone out to do this task. I'd rather avoid that, and take it to the dealership ( 17 kilometers away) than have it towed there. Any thoughts on this internet gossip thing?

All of the harnesses I’m using are from the PT GT Cruiser btw , I have a SRT4 engine harness to cut from for the engine but that’s all .

If I’m swapping a pt gt engine into a sxt what wiring harness do I need and what pcm and skim
