- Check out 5 MORE tips on better drawings here... www.youtube.com....
These are some of the tips that have helped me to improve my drawings. Always remember, there is not ONE way to draw. These tips are just suggestions to help you refine your work. But there are many ways to get to the same results. And even I don't always follow these same rules every time. That said, I hope they help!

I feel like I'm good at drawing then I go on the Internet for 2 minutes
So true.. *Cries in corner.

+Morgan Nederlof SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same here,
But practice makes perfect
So just keep trying
Yeah ;_;
+Morgan Nederlof Me too
This is the first video I've watched of his and his humor kills me 😂
Lol me too
Lol same😂
When he said sketchy I fell to the floor... This boy's hilarious
Izzy Mills same :P
Izzy Mills ikr people on RUclips sometimes take themselves way too seriously but not this guy
This is the first video of his I've seen. Towards the begining, I thought he was a pretty serious guy. About halfway through I realized how wrong I was. 😂
Lol
You have fantastic humour, this video was very entertaining.
Have my like!
Hah! Same
Me toooo
J BlueWolf same
Thanks for not just screaming PRACTICE five times
Yeah, some actual advice.
Exactly, how do you practise and improve if you don't know *how* or *what* to improve?
+xTwilightWolvesx TRUE. sometimes i tell myself " just grab that fucking sketchbook and doodle youre way you lazy ass" its just that deep deep deep inside there is fear that we always avoid and thats failure...
Rinka Shime I feel yeah, and it is really hard to fight against that feeling, but in the end, all you have to do is start. That is also hard, but a lot more fun.
Yeah. I mean, the advise is solid, but it misses the DELIBERATE part that makes practice so effective. Any idiot can just try to draw things over and over and see gradual improvement. It's the part where you figure out what your problems are, how to do better, and then iterate on yourself that rewards you with rapid development.
I should probably be studying for my physics exams tomorrow or sleeping but art is life sooo
Omg ikr saaaaaame 😂
ladaladada same same
omg same!
homework just turn into doodling pages for me. I swear some of my best work is on assignments
+Tommy Tootsters Same! I have to ask some of my teachers for the pages back because I really like the doodles I have on them!
Those juicy line variations though.
hi
+Sarabella Turner they make me happy.... idek xD
Hi
+Monet Villalvazo why hello
+Sarabella Turner juicy
I was taking a sip of tea when I got to the parallel lines part -_- LOL
Tawny Fritz AND THEN CROTCH HATCHING OMG
For digital artists I have a very good additional tip. In photoshop or whatever you
use, flip the drawing vertically and check to see if it looks strange
that way. If it does, manipulate it in that view, then flip it over again back to what it was. Then you can go back and forth until you're happy with it.
On paper, with a mirror
Thats a great tip, thank you
"i'm learning to talk" I said "me too" and then I thought I was ok, but my body was like no you must laugh for 6 hours now.
"sometimes i just fill up whole pages of crotch hatching"
that made my day
I love how every time you messed up you made a joke, you even made some puns (I love puns)
So I love your drawing style and how informative the video was.
Also do you like my drawing (my profile picture) I drew it and would like some feedback if you can.
I think it looks pretty nice, just sort of like it was done is Paint. Definitely try a different program and try making shoulders a bit wider
Superdorkishere Thanks for the feedback!
+Dezi_XD one eye is slightly higher than the other, try using guidelines at first
I try really hard, but most of the times my drawings are just so shitastic that I don't want to continue
You lol
Keep on trying and don't give up. Have faith in your art and trust me, you'll probably become one of the best artist ever.
Believe in ya ]]
Dude, I use to think people were just born talented and if you naturally didn't know how to draw your screwed. My brother drew so much better than me when we were younger so I felt like I was just meant not to draw. After a couple of tutorials I started drawing soooooo much better. You get better with practice, trust me.
You improve by drawing. It's a tough truth, but it's what you need to do in order to improve.
is someone forcing you to draw ?
_I wonder if loss of language is an artist thing-_
_Almost every artist I know just CAN'T talk-_
_I can't talk either..._
yup me too xdd
+Ҡαgoмε “typo queen” Tatsuмเ same...
me
Cuz we talk through drawings yo *takes joint*
Yasin Nouri
_That's deep._
first: searches up how to draw like a pro
second: sees video
third: watches video
fourth: likes the video
fifth: rewatch video
sixth: comment this comment
seventh: drawing time!
eighth: watch video again
nineth: calls for parents
tenth: asks to buy the exact pen in video
Those are the exact things you should do!!
+Alice Cooper circle of life bro
Eleventh: Dad goes to dollar store and buys you cheap pen
Twelfth: 😑
+Verionne lol happens too me all the time. once I told my mom if she could bye me a two pen set of professional marker (brand) and she came back with a grey marker from the dollar tree. it was my birthday present -__-
11th: parents make you buy pen yourself, so you get a 1$ pen XD
lol I already have sharpie pen hehehehhe
For digital artists, if you hold R on your keyboard you can rotate your canvas like magic. Super helpful.
now i need a brush pen
+jo dallas I don't understand why I don't have one in my life.
Emikero same man my life has been incomplete all along
chuchúua
Then get one
Same 😟
you make it look so easy! I've been casually doodling for several years (sketches of my teacher in math class, clock towers across the street from my favorite coffee shop etc.) but you make me want to start getting serious. I need to work up my skill a little bit more, and your videos definitely help with it! thanks!
hmm, I have like 14 sketch books filled with bad sketches....well they are about to become bad inked drawings XD
"Paralllelllelllell ......lines parallel lines......... im learning how to talk" this made my day
Those jokes were really... SKETCHY :D
Thank you, thank you!
Awwwwwww! Boo!
that was nasty.. O.o
+Lindaz01144 OMG UNDERTALE YAAAAAS
*Ba Dum Tss*
+Lindaz01144 Sans would be very proud 😂
You don't need to improve on your tutorial videos at all! You made this a really fun watch. Don't change!
Your personality really comes across and it's lovely. :)
Oh, and thanks for the tips! :D
couldn't agree more
***** if a persons hair was made to be messy, would you still make your lines smooth a long? Because I have a character with long spiky hair. (And it's a boy don't judge me)
Elizabeth Rempel
ya i do spiky or curls im more of a anime drawer, i first did cartoon, then realistic, then really realistic, then cartoon, then anime, then comic book kinda style, then anime
Chrissy Diaz that doesn't help
huh> what? i forgot what i commented on XD
"Parlelel..palelelel...I'm LEARNING TO TALK!" - the moment I subbed XD
Me too! ♥ I was cracking up. xD
omg!....awesome! whahahahaha
I've gone to art school and made all forms of art my life for over 13 years, though I do think this video is a helpful tool to help new artists find their way in the world and maybe even help them find their style, a lot of "most of" what I heard was a preference based assessment. again I actually do love this video, you are to the point and explain yourself better then some people I have seen. lol I actually only clicked on this because of the thumb nail "I think she's cute so very well done" ^.^
What tips do you have for making wrinkles/folds in fabric
I turn my chair or my sitting position, not the page XD
I do both lol
wow...Lol hahaha Funny why not the page huh?:/ your pretty wierd now...
CassavaCass thank god I’m not the only one!
You're videos are so much fun just to watch, that one sketch would've took me an hour.
+ViridStar yeah, I just got confused, they put the contraction and I meant to put the possession, "your".
no
francois beavertree. No, virid is right. You wrote You're, which means you are. If that really was your meaning then you need to re-learn grammar my brother.
This is the first video of yours I have ever watched and it is probably the most helpful video I have ever watched on youtube, thank you so so much!!
Same here
But I already have been doing some of these tips.
But now I feel more convedent after watching this cause I've been doing it the hole time
#newsub
Well, I'm subscribing.
By watching Will and Jazza's videos, I shall learn all the things! :D
Sure :D
/)
Add "Sycra" to your list. He teaches really good, Will and Jazza also are great of course
cantplayguitar Win. I also watch Sycra xD
ALPHONSO DUNN is great too
HEY I AM JELIOUS! I NEED FRIENDS! WAAHH xd.
I try to sketch lightly, but after my sketch half way I have gone hard
+LPSAngelina Me Too.
i relate ;-;
+LPSAngelina lmao that's what he said
+LPSAngelina I sketch lightly at first for guidelines and stuff, but then I find myself IMMEDIATELY GOING INTO HARD LINES. It is a curse, yet is a curse I must live.
Until I stop, that is.
+LPSAngelina You just gotta drill it into yourself not to go hard until you're ready to commit. Start off with your light relaxed, long sketch strokes until you've got the whole figure done, plus details (just keep asking yourself every 5 mins, "I'm I getting hard lol?"), then go over your sketch lines with hard, dark lines (do this "polishing" stage slowly & carefully). Next, rub out the sketchy layer under the hard lines by rubbing extremely lightly (this is a good tip, works every time for me) and now you'll only see the hard, final stage lines, no mess. Also, when doing your final hard lines, start every stroke as light as possible then gradually press harder. Do the opposite when you take the pencil off. This way, your lines will usually perfectly blend in with eachother (no visible breaks).
Another good tip is to hold the pencil closer to the back. This way your sketch lines can be longer, more relaxed and LOADS easier to get smooth curves. Its also harder to accidentally sketch too hard if you hold it this way. Hope it helps!
I always draw faces pretty decently... Then I get to the nose 😁👃👀
xD
Just draw a line 😂😂😂 Or don't draw one at all lmao
Ikr
do like I do. don't draw a nose XD
eck I can never get eyes to match
4:13 Turn captions on xD
+JCPlays Oh god that made my day
Omg xD
LelelelL lelelellele
Parellel..lell. LElAlalElel xD
XD
Great tips, though in my personal experience often it's best just to grab a pencil with a harder lead grade to avoid smudging. Even with great technique when using a pencil grade thats HB or higher that crap tends to get EVERYWHERE. You can also get really nice clean thin lines with harder leads. Of coarse for a beginner maybe it would be best to just start off with a regular pencil. Then once the skill level goes up they can get into harder grades for fine detail.
use all of your pencils with different density for a better gradeant.
"paralalalal...llll. lululul..." Yep, that got me. Subscribed.
ME too! =))
When you're working on more confident line work, would you suggest using a notebook instead? or one of the 99cent Wal-Mart sketchbooks? gotta love 1:00am art video and research sprees.
Same
Lol, same. But I need to remember not to have the volume at full blast xD
Awkward Brooklyn it's literally nearly 1am here lol dunno why I feel so inspired at this time
Its 8:40 am im still going........need moree......
My dude! I have been drawing for 28 years. Never made famous for it, but, let me tell you. This video is great. I need a brush pen. My favorite pen company is Sharpie. Thin ones for fine work, and thick ones to fill in. Favorite color medium is colored pencil (Prisma Colors).
So versatile, and can use light water on a brush to create a water color look. #prismacolors4life
whoa you look a lot like my Character design teacher (based on your drawings of yourself) like same facial hair, he's a bit overweight too, wears a beret all the time, dark hair etc. When I first saw it for I sec I thought'd stumbled on his RUclips page.
The biggest tip you gave me that I've never heard before is the drawing towards myself, I always draw away, and I find my lines are uncontrolled. I'm going to try it, and see if there's an improvement! Thanks!
Thank you! I especially loved the encouragement at the end. Sometimes I forget to have fun, but this entire video made me smile so I'm stressing less over it now:)
As someone who mostly draws animals with fur, making the jagged lines can be a curse and a blessing.
please dont take it more seriously next time this was one of the most entertaining how-to videos i've ever watched
Hi could you have a look at one of my first videos and give me a critique, i promise its entertaining.
Brother, you have been my go-to artist on the net for years. I heart you. And, thanks for all the lessons!
Dude, you're hilarious. Either that, or I need to get some sleep. Maybe both.. I'm glad you mess up a bit, makes it interesting... And funny. ;)
have 13 years of tattooing experience, so plenty of libework experience, i lost my right eye three years ago so im having to relearn the line work confidence. any tips?
Michael Choate jesus christ man...i have no tips but damn. stay strong and don't let that bring you down from staying as confident as you can be :) its inspiration and motivational to hear that you want to continue and that you're searching for tips. i hope you get some, man. cheers.
I know I'm like 2 years late but I read this and I thought you were joking so I started laughing but then there wasn't a punchline...
so you better at line work confidence yet?
Jeremy S what the hell dude
Woah that's really inspirational i hope that you found what you were looking for Michael cheers to you and your dreams man! :Dd
This is great, Will! Inspires me to keep drawing and learning. I always need to retouch on things and this helps
I love that you are transparent when explaining techniques. that is when you can laugh at yourself.
I love it when seasoned artists go back to the basics to get in the mindset of that hesitant beginner. Thanks for posting!
4:11 turn on captions. PS thank you for the tips
***** Right?
Lol!
CozadKid Crying omg
8:54 captions
XD
IM LEARNING TO TALK!!! hahahahahhaa
CROTCHHATCHING!!!
Well fuck my unsteady hands I couldn't make a strait line to save my life
I know, right?
+Brandin Ricardo Hold the pencil further towards the back, it'll help with unsteady hands (I had the same problem) and make longer, smoother curves loads easier to get right. When you wanna do smaller details, hold the pencil normally again. Its like changing gear!
try to use your elbow and shoulder
Jen R. Using a sharp ass 2B pencil I hope!
ncshuriken Oh Yea, hope there's a mod for that
It takes years and years to become more confident in your lines!? Well, I’m grateful for your honesty and it helps me not feel so bad about where I am right now, which for someone who hasn’t been doing this for more than a few months, probably isn’t anywhere yet.
I honestly find it very fun to do line variation with a fine liner pen. It makes me focus more and it looks nice in my opinion when done right
I'm learning to talk!
'im learning to talk" lol great channel!! new sub
I think I need a brushpen.
Pentel Brush Pens are awesome and are fairly inexpensive. You can even keep the same pen forever since the brush is incredible and they sell ink cartridges for it. It's the closest I've found to an affordable brush pen that works just like a real hair-based brush as opposed to flexible felt tips.
I need one too
I think the best lesson you taught here was one you hadn't intended on teaching-your ability to laugh at yourself and not let the mistakes you made keep you from appreciating your effort. You were a little self conscious but you carried through and ended up drawing something that wasn't that bad at all. Plus you had fun and helped teach a bunch of lessons.
That's how you art. You always strive to be the best you can but you also realize that sometimes good enough is perfectly OK. That and it's OK to not take yourself too seriously. Thanks for the vid. I'm definitely subscribing.
I love this man. His laugh is like a warm hug.
Sometimes I use multiple lines to see which line would fit into the drawing. Like multiple strokes
DUDe THIS IS EXACTLY WHERE IM AT I WAS wondering if it was worth ruining a bunch of sketch books thank you so much I am going to practice even more best video ftw
I love thi- wait CROTCH HATCHING?! Omg I'm dying 😂😂😂
"CROSS HATCHING" --- It's a type of drawing/shading going back and forth and up and down-- like a hashtag symbol-- only more refined, hope that helps.
Achenar Spire I know :3 but thanks anyway. I just like to laugh at mistakes and then help people correct them. Not being mean 😂
Ronald McDonald you obviously didn't
Tiffany Dillon ...
IKR I DIED
I remember people always asking me why I sketched so lightly and why I turned the page. It's good to know that I was actually doing what other artists do.
Pretty drawing. I'm bitterly jealous of your skills atm.
i can copy someone arts very well but i cnt draw with my mind i czn but i doesn't come out perfact..any tips?
Try to find your own style. You can have a similar art styles as some people online, just don't exactly copy it.
Flufflepuff12346 how can i find my own style?
What I did was pick a realistic or a cartoon art style. Which one do you want to do?
Flufflepuff12346 anime style
OMG same! I hate it, cause I could draw pretty fine if I have something in front of me but can't actaully draw from my mind .
This was great and very helpful! I'm amazed how you can talk and draw at the same time, every time I talk while drawing I either mess up the drawing or jumble up my words XD
im sure the commentary is recorded afterwards.
i love the drawing btw
im glad your little eye mistake happened it gave me comfidence knowing that a very good artist can fudge it up a bit. Thanks for posting
I need a brush pen, fancy colored pencil crap whatever, confidence, and lots of other things. SO EXCITED!! 😊😃
10:43 "The first 5 or 6 sketchbooks" boi i dont have one
I have like
12 or more
and they're all drawn in
DaMainMann Underscore sketchbook? oh you mean my journal for "notes" during class
|-/
DaMainMann Underscore i have 5
I have 3, and one of them is covered in scribbles because my sister was mad at me. 😒
i have a question. Why do most artists use a blue pencil for sketching and not just a grey pencil?
most of the time, when artists use blue pencils, it means they want to scan the drawing. The blue is the initial sketch, and they go over with smoother lines and not so rough with a regular pencil. once they do that, when they scan the drawing, blue doesn't show up when scanning. Hope this helped.
I also found using yellow or red helps when using lighttables to transfer your drawing :) it is easier to make out the right lines
For me blue just feels natural and more easy than any other color
It makes the final drawing/sketch pop out more. Which is why lined paper has blue lines instead of gray. The contrast makes the final work pop and makes it look nicer
And why they draw it in red and then out black over it
Excellent tips. Thank you so much.
Teresa May?!
Thank you for that page turning comment. Because when I went to artschool they used to tell us to NEVER turn the page and I was like: "But why?" And their biggest argument was: "Because we do it like that." It left me confused for SO long because I couldn't figure out what was so bad about turning the damn page and getting nice, strong strokes. So thanks for confirming my thoughts!
you and your art makes me soooo happy. Thank you for your tips. your laugh is pure magic
This really helps a lot, thanks! Nice drawings btw! :)
lol kind of hate how he keeps saying years of practice because i'm trying to minor in art because i like it but i'm not good so i got like 2 or 3 months to get good so uuuhhhh not sure if i can do it ,might be too late apparently
Nah.. Its never too late. It does take a long time to get good at anything, though. That's why its important to try to enjoy the learning process and not beat yourself up when it doesn't happen as quickly as you want.
do practice constantly without a big break. you will see the change by yourself.🐱
This comment was 2 months ago & you said you had 2-3 months before you tried to minor in art... I'm curious how are you doing? Did you make it? Or you needed more practice?
JezzeBoy
sadly i didn't practice enough so i couldn't really take the risk of trying to minor in it but i'm not really discourage i can still get good at it and maybe i might still find success. i mean i got a drawing tablet can't let that good to waste lol
crazyBloodmonkey
Oh that's ok. 2-3 months is a very short time anyways. Keep practicing and I believe success will find you one day! I was also gonna minor in it early this year, but realized I needed more practice. So I'm just gonna be patient and keep doing what I love. Our time will come when we're ready.
And yes, you can't waste a drawing tablet lol. Best of luck to you in your future.
parrallelel? crotch hatching? I love it xD
I like the oddity of this drawing.
While it starts off really good, and then turns lob-sided; you eventually bring it back around to a pretty fluid piece.
It's cartoony enough to not be taken seriously, but good enough to where it should be acknowledged! :)
I love when video creators make jokes during the video naturally and laugh at his or her own jokes. It feels like the RUclipsr is actually talking to the viewers
1 "sketch lightly"
*nervous laughter
Turn the page, you wash your hands. Turn the page, wash your hands. Then you turn the page, and then you wash your hands.
+RadiatedZombie Rocko.
Sweaty hands, sweaty hands everywhere!
+RadiatedZombie U got 2 meter page. Turn it. Go on.
What is Filbert doing on youtube xD
OMG YES I HAVE SWEATY HAND PROBLEMS
My best line movement is outwards to the right, sort of diagonally, is this unusual?
Hmmm... you might have a doctor check it out.
lmao ok xD
Thank you so much. I love when artists take their time to help others.
I used to never outline my art work because I would always mess it up but thanks to this video I'm more confident and can make my art actually look even better than the original sketch :) thank you!
you're funny =p thank you for this, it is very helpful! and god damn i suck at inking D: good thing i usually don't use lines on my work, but i shall put these tips to good use!
***** omg dude! I followed your advice and inked two old sketchbooks and i've improved a lot already! and i found that revisiting old drawings gave me some insight and i corrected a lot of mistakes =D and about inking, it feels like my biggest problem was lack of confidence! thank you so much!
***** =D rawr!
***** Commissions are open from me :p
How does an artist not use lines?
my art teacher says she only does her paintings of people upside down. because our brains try to fill in features that we think we know.
I AM LEARNING TO TALK!!! LOL IM DIYING!!!!
Finally i found a drawing channel who isn't boring and empty inside you on the other hand are awesome!!!!!
Dont get serious, stay like this
just like how turning a drawing upside down can help you see your mistakes, looking at it in the mirror can help a lot too
Do you (or anyone in the comments) have any tips for drawing faster? I get sucked into details so easily, I lose track of the big picture. Most of my inked, colored, and shaded drawings take 6 to 8 hours to complete, even if they're just a simple portrait. (I just did a $20 portrait commission that ended up being about $3 per hour since I took so dang long.) I have trouble breaking my comfort zone knowing that to reach completion I need to sink several hours into something, so I don't want to risk something looking bad after spending so long on it.
Also, paralelelebleleble lines.
***** I guess the big thing is I make almost all my drawings "finalized". I need to work on just sketching or doing sloppier line art and coloring just to get the drawing done and out there. If I obsess over everything like it's going to be my next masterpiece, then I'm not going to take risks.
Charging more is good too. I was kind of slapping myself after I set the price because I didn't realize how big it was going to be. It was my first ever paid commission though, so I didn't want to make it too pricey in case I bunged everything up somehow.
Thanks for the reply anyways. c: I'll be looking into more of your drawing videos. They look very good so far!
Hey Blue, if you don't mind; You might want to try drawing some really simple shapes or objects and purposely doing them very sketchy and un-finalized. I know it might seem silly to go back to the early practice stages, but sometimes we can profit from a humbling experience or two. Best wishes!
look the videos of Alphonso dunn, he's really helpful
Do some excersise when you give yourself 5 minutes to finish a gesture or pose (still life or reference picture) the more you do this the quicker and more confident your strokes will be rather than second guessing yourself all the time! Hope that helps :) by the way I have some drawings on my channel if anybody wants to check them out
In the beginning you're going to probably have to choose. Precision vs speed. You should always choose precision at this point.
With time however precision gets easier and as precision gradually gets easier, so does speed.
What are your thoughts on digital art? I wanted to buy a tablet and I just wanted to see what professional/mature artists think about it.
i got one and they are amazing its just like paper
Ikusaba Mukuro Tablets are amazing, just take getting used to and then you will drawing like paper. Recommend a Wacom.
Kpoop username? ;) I also suggest Wacom. Look on amazon for cheaper prices
Shoot Tru You just keep drawing with it, and get used to drawing on it while looking at the monitor. Eventually your brain will make the connection but be patient.
I'm sure you will do well, though for me i can't draw on paper. :(
4:17 IM LURNING HOU TO TAK
I watched your video and was thinking like, this is going to be my teacher, quite instantly. So please keep up the good work, because it's a real help to me. Especially with the looseness of the video making.
So all in all, thanks!
One of my professors says the thin to thick lines method is called calligraphy. To me, calligraphy lines are very beautiful and can have a great effect on the outcome if used properly.
what's the name of the intro music please? I think I'm in love with it
Sarude dandstorm
+jegerbest89 failed at trolling.
+Emma Grace i did that on purpose. And you are a bigger idiot for not getting the joke -.- fucking idiot. Get of the fucking internet, hater
+jegerbest89 lmao not my fault you're joke didn't make sense at all. Also you're not one of those celebrities to be calling me a hater and no I will not get off the internet. At least I don't swear to get my points cleared up.
Thanks ouo.
+Anastasia Love yo it's chill.
crotch etching - lol!
Does anyone have any tips on drawing male hair? I need it for a character im making.
Robin Sandlerz what style?
Rad Zilla Well, it's not really a character it's just based off this youtuber, Razzbowski, But i can never get his hairstyle right..
Robin Sandlerz 2D or 3D-ish style
Rad Zilla 2D
Robin Sandlerz wait a sec let me go and check his hair
Great tips. I've always worked with charcoal and am fairly new to inking, but I love it! However,I've been frustrated that the crossover has been so much more difficult than expected because I'm used to creating messy lines. This really inspired me to just keep practicing. Thank you!
I have always been told that I am a fantastic artist. But after watching this.. I doubt it. This just showed me that I barely know enough. Gotta keep going and growing ;)
Can you get a water proof zebra pen? I use watercolors and it will blur normal ink :(
Why is everyone using all these freaking "special" pens to line and color? like, people are like "Oh, I use (Random expensive lining pen) and (Random expensive coloring tool). And look at my beauuuuuutiful Art!"
like wtf, I use a sharpie and colored pencils and my art can look just about the same as theirs like what.
It's just their preference. But a lot of artists will say that it's not the tools that make the artist it's the skill
Rinjikato I know that, but people have insulted my work because i didn't use a "special" lining pen or a "special" coloring tool
im just sitting there like :/
+Pink fuzzy kittenz71 well clearly they're not proper artists. If they were they'd know that it doesn't matter, I'm sure your work is great
this guy is hilarious, this is the first video I have seen of him
At 3:40 ... When drawing from the shoulder do the opposite. You are supposed to draw away from yourself in a straight line especially in an upwards stroke. Practicing over and over this summer while other students chased drinks and girls has greatly improved my skills.
I love your channel Will and I enjoy listening to you while I practice. You give some great and inspiring advice. I could give a short syllabus on almost every one of your character demos. I especially enjoyed the "Pink Haired Woman" from the photo your friend had sent you. I believe it was a friend from back home? Your efforts are greatly appreciated and I have grown because of you.
THANKS! This video was really helpful and informitive.
