    One idea for people doing reference environment builds like this - place the spectator camera at the approximate location of the camera in your reference photo. That way when you make adjustments you can compare your build with your reference, and you can quickly toggle between the engineer cam and the spec cam.

    I'm so happy I've found someone who also appreciates the uses of small grids integrated into large ones, also I love the mechanical stuff you do, that's what I spend like 100% of my time in se, like stuff like the mechanical elevator, love it

    Good use case of From the Depths like mimic blocks here, along with copy pasting components of grids, a fixed small/large grid connection would be awesome for making this work more practical. Awesome job!

    • @romain5967
      @romain5967 3 года назад +1

      If you mean like the rotor isn't fixed, you can lock them and it basically is completely fixed

    • @artificer111
      @artificer111 3 года назад +1

      @@romain5967 yes you can do that, but game optimisation wise having the ability to arbitrarily fix small / large like medieval engineers detail blocks would be ideal.

    Space Engineers really needs proper selection tools so we can copy/paste details without the tedious process of cannibalizing whole grids. Something similar to break apart grids along a plane would make expanding and resizing a design much simpler. The crude way copy/paste works from its anchor block also needs a rethink, as does the inflexible way it handles overlapping pastes (it doesn't).
    I guess I'm spoiled after a few decades of using photoshop and various 2D and 3D software, but I've yet to see any kind of voxel editor solve these interface problems. It's frustrating to work with such crude tools.

    so iv always wanted to make a base that stores ships in cargo boxes and launches the boxes into orbit to connect to a ship to drop off the ship on command and it would be fully remote controlled so that ships don't need to land to resupply they just contact the base to send up ships and supply's then leave and i think if you really tried you could have all types of ships sorted like it can tell the a fighter and a miner apart like after you just had a battle and you need supplies you just jump to the planet with a resupply base and commend for a few ships and then jump out

  • @Punnikin1969
    @Punnikin1969 3 года назад

    Am I the only person who is unimpressed by people who "build" in creative mode and have their mic way too close to their mouth? For all the good something like this does, you may as well build it off camera and paste it into the world then fly around it and describe what you're near.

    • @BlackArmor718
      @BlackArmor718  3 года назад

      If someone felt that way, I would expect them to leave early in the video instead of sticking around to comment their feelings. Maybe wasting time is just your thing since you’d rather watch someone weld blocks one by one.

    • @Punnikin1969
      @Punnikin1969 3 года назад

      @@BlackArmor718 I stopped watching at 1:38, posted the comment then left, so... I technically left early. At least welding and placing the blocks takes some effort and a semblance of creativity. Creative copy and paste is lazy and pointless.

      @@BlackArmor718 Well I'm giving you the feedback you need. If you want to slam your ears shut so you don't have to hear negativity, go right ahead. I can't make you think or learn. I can only try.

    • @BlackArmor718
      @BlackArmor718  3 года назад

      So I'll just go build in survival then because it better suits your interest? Nah man. You're literally the only one here asking for that. This type of video has been requested numerous times so I tried it out.
      You're not even wrong about the mic but try giving feedback and not being an ass about it.
