Not sure if I missed it, but I didn't hear TRAFFIC as one of the CONS. We're from Castroville and over the past 10 years we've watched the traffic (and wrecks) EXPLODE along Hwy 90/211/Potranco/Culebra/1604 corridors. The subdivisions are packing the houses so tightly together that the School buses can't get through the streets. IT'S INSANE trying to commute into SA. What was once a 25-30 minute commute to downtown SA, is now over an hour and MUCH longer if any construction or accidents.
Ok, I hear you moved there from NM Greg. We are considering moving to SA from Clovis, NM. Huge difference to say the least. We have a zoom meeting with Kyle tomorrow morning ❤
Thanks so much for reaching out🙌🏾‼️ We really do miss the dry heat & Mexican food in NM and make it a point to stop at all of our old spots when we go back to visit family. As long as you can handle the humidity and the TexMex you'll be in good shape LOL!
Glad to hear you're meeting with Kyle, he's going to take great care of you😎
Can you do a updated video on some of the neighborhoods, on the far Westside? ( Patranco Run, Patranco, Oaks, Redbird Ranch, Patranco Ranch) very interested in this area and the schools. Heard Redbird Ranch was half Medina ISD and Half Northside ISD.
For sure! There's a lot developing along Potranco right now. Redbird Ranch is split roughly down the middle between Bexar and Medina Counties so you do have the two school districts for that neighborhood depending on where you live in the community.
Were you thinking about moving out that way?

Well actually we just moved into Redbird, a few months ago. (New Veterans) we were thinking leaving Redbird and moving into Patranco oaks, or the new Sub division Patranco West.
I'm in the Far West Side now in Kallison Ranch and the traffic on Culebra can be an absolute nightmare sometimes. Do you have any inside info on what they'll do about this road in the coming years? :)
I deal with Culebra daily, so I know what you mean LOL. The expansion to widen Culebra is ongoing and eventually it'll have a displaced lane intersection at 1604 just like Bandera. FM1560 is also expanding to double lanes from Culebra to Bandera... then of course there's the current expansion of 1604 taking place.
We're gonna have road construction on just about every side for the next couple of yrs. SA is really trying to keep up, but I think this area just grew a lot faster than expected. Crossing my fingers that it'll all be beautiful when it's finished🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
My dream location is a quiet friendly area away from the city but no more than 15-20 minutes away. Away but close enough 😅
Which areas are safe affordable family friendly to live?? Does it get very cold there?? Do you have crocodiles problems, love bugs?? What are the properties taxes on a average?? Does it hail in all texas?? Flood?? Is more humid or dry?
You must be lucky or you're downplaying the critters. We live right by 410/151 and frequently see rattlesnakes and scorpions, and oh god the wasps we have to deal with too! I love this side of town though!
Not gonna lie, we've had pest control out a few times in the last 6 months for scorpions in the new home we just built. We back to a green belt and there's also been construction all around us, so the critters been moving all around the place!
Fortunately our section is almost complete and it's been a couple of months since we've had any issues, so we're hoping that's all behind us now🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Pest control is a definite must! It's wild out there😂
My family and I taking a trip to San Antonio on August 9th. Is there any way we can meet up to and possibly see what we qualify for? We're gonna be there for 5 days
For sure, we'd love to connect! Shoot us an email with your contact info at info@mymarketboss.com
I was looking at Medina, Frio and Bandera counties, but it might too long a trek from my daughter in Comal county. Hard to decide.
Lots of space out there and good pricing. Anything keeping you from Comal County? Lots of options out there too.
@@SanAntonioTexasLiving nothing really, just wondering about the drive time to my daughters place in New Braunfels. I don't wanna live too close but not too far either.
I gotcha. You're probably looking at about an hour and a half depending on traffic if you're out towards Medina or Bandera. Taking Hwy 46 is probably your best bet.
Spring Branch/Bulverde would get you closer to Canyon Lake and put you about 30-45 mins from New Braunfels. Also really pretty out that way.
@@SanAntonioTexasLiving thanks. She just contacted me and suggested the same areas as you did. I guess she doesn't want to travel too far, for her. LOL
As a San Antonian i CANT STAND THAT AREA. ITS SOULLESS. It doesn't even feel like SA its like a bunch of sterile unimaginative aliens
How is Medina Valley High School?
We have several clients with high schoolers in Medina Valley ISD and they've all had great things to say! Were you considering a move into that school district ?
You fell out of a tree once or twice? Okay that explains a lot! Just kidding!😝
😂
