    Everything after about 18:00 is exactly what I love to do with synths. Can’t wait to get my hands on this thing. And then I thought about the people who aren’t interested because they don’t like the “brute” sound. If the Brute sound is an analog poly that seamlessly shifts from one beautiful, evocative sound to another and does that feat without ever touching the morph knob, then I have to wonder if they are the same kind of people who think Toto represents the pinnacle of synth goodness.

    Some impressive tinkering there, its does evolving pads so well, basically it does everything really well. I just hope Arturia add an overdrive or a tube amp to the effect section, and give us more options for the chorus/flanger/phaser settings. But overall I love mine. A veterans budget ain't gonna get me a dwelling where I can flex the Polybrute and Matriarch at present. I am up in Skoshland wondering if I gonna die before being creative again. I been spited summink rotten dude and missing the synths. Just thought I would play your original intro into the polybrute and got this to get my heart singing again. If you know of anything on offer house or even barn wise giz a shout. I am crackin on and not need a winter at age of 55 with history of stroke and heart attacks but that ain't gonna stop UK Authority thwarting any attempt to have some kind of life. Ever since the military dude, ever since the military. I dunno how many times I have died. Great to hear you bud. Great to hear the polybrute again. I miss the creativity. Stay well dude. x

    Got to play around with one at the Guitar Center in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. Such a beauty and awesome sounding, well built rig. The only concern I have is with the 3D touch pad thing. Not sure how durable it is and I wish the surface of it was more touch friendly. Kept getting this rub sound so not sure why it's not a like a touch ribbon surface or something. Anyway, dope and I'm trying to get funds together now to get one.

  • @MusicFed
    @MusicFed 2 года назад +1

    Great demo. Well done. A bit confused as to why they wouldn’t do an 8 voice on such a great machine. Long pads will inevitably suffer from voice stealing to a degree, although this can be fixed with generous reverb
    It’s already an expensive machine and I think/hope an 8-voice will be there in a year or two
    But it sound really really good
    So on split/dual is 3 voice per layer?

    A request: more demos with no effects please!
    It looks like a really well made synth. Curiously, despite the namesake, if Arturia replaced the steiner filter with something a little more conventional such as a squelchy OTA multimode or, even better, a pole-mixing one with configurable resonance, they would probably have the best synth on the market by a long long way. It seems like a quirk of marketing and lineage that they're stuck with the steiner design because everything else around it appears to have been re-engineered to a very high degree. I say all this without playing one, but that will change soon because my local shop just got one in stock.

    • @mylarmelodies
      @mylarmelodies  3 года назад +1

      Hah well I make a point of removing them at one point, and I know why you’re asking this - but when the effects are part of the instrument, I feel they should be part of the demo! Defo can consider it in future. But do you consider stereo width an effect? The stereo width is totally analogue...

  • @darksiderahb

      12 or preferably 16 voice and a 3rd Oscillator would have been even better.
      I sold mine due to running into vioce stealing on complex modulated pads.
      I got the Summit a couple of months ago as it has more modulation possibilities and 16 voices, truly stunning sounding synth, no sequencer though, however I've never been a fan of on-board sequencing.
      Maybe next time I'll purchase a Polybrute mk2 if it's 3 oscillator and a minimum of 12 vioce.

      Super hard to call, both are musical instruments and as such equally valid and it’s entirely a question of personal taste...which is entirely personal! But if I absolutely had to choose I personally would go with PolyBrute. Yet I’m not selling the Peak as it has its own voice. It’s also half the price as it’s a module! Summit would be a fairer fight. I would also pick the PolyBrute...but that doesn’t mean it’s “better” necessarily!
