Doctor Reacts To Curb Your Enthusiasm Medical Scenes

  • Curb Your Enthusiasm is one of the best shows on HBO, and wouldn't you know after 11 seasons they've managed to make a few scenes and tell a few stories about medicine. Today I react to scenes featuring Larry David and Jeff Garlin struggling over who should give Richard Lewis a kidney transplant, waiting room magazines, heart rate monitors, a torn meniscus, second opinions, advil, sun spots, and Larry potential tearing Shaq's ACL.
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!

As they were taking me through the hospital, I had a nurse with a red bag follow me around in case my heart would stop. In the bag was medicine to keep me going. As she would explain that to me, I would tell her "Don't forget: Chest compressions, chest compression, chest compression". She then told me: "Are you trying to tell me what my job is?". It was funny. I explain to her where this came from.

I know on average people heal from meniscus tears without surgery. But mine didn't. When I finally went and saw the orthopedic surgeon he said he'd leave it up to me to choose whether or not I got the surgery. WTF! He didn't educate me so how was I suppose to decide? He was quite condescending to me, probably because I was overweight. Because of my tear I could not walk 1/4th of a block without having excruciating pain in my knee. I was in tears when I left his office. Fortunately, after I left his office I found my backbone and I called the office and said I wanted the surgery. Now I'm strong enough that if it happened today I would go see someone else. The surgery fixed the problem and I'm so happy I had the surgery.

Do some on Dr. Quinn medicine woman. It stars Jane Seymour. It was set in the wild West. It was about a female doctor which is very rare back in pioneer days that went out West and had to fight to be accepted by her community. It covers a wide variety of topics and if it was something that we know more about today then it will have a little medical narration at the end stating when XYZ disease was discovered. One of the interesting episodes was when she had staff infection in her clinic and had a burn it to the Ground. Another one or more episodes is about a pandemic. Another episode was about her finding out about how are you baby bottle design from that time period was causing babies to get sick and in that one she was sued for malpractice. She had health information from Native Americans and her degree and education.

I would suggest *Descendents Of The Sun* for Real Doctor Reacts. A korean, medical drama surrounding the consequences of a natural disaster. It's a huge success nationally and internationally. The pinnacle of the drama is when the main lead doctor has to make a decision between saving the live of one person at the cost of the other. It also talks about the stigma around "A real doctor" and "a doctor who appears on tv" which I think will be something you could relate to. It also includes many struggles which doctors have to face. It's a great drama and I would be happy if you could react to it.
