    I remember my grandmother saw this for the senior movie, and I went with her, and I told her it’s one of the rare movies where the movie wasn’t even as bad as real life, because there was another brother who died from suicide that wasn’t in the movie.

    There is still one brother that committed suicide that was not shown in the movie. Sad story but one of my favorite movies last year.

    I met a lot of the old school wrestlers when I was a kid... Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, Flair and the rest of the 4 Horsemen, Wahoo McDaniels, Magnum TA, Nikita Koloff, Rock & Roll Express, etc.. They would wrestle at my High School. The tickets were like $5 a pop. I used to have a picture of me on Magnum TA's shoulder as a kid but I lost it 😢😠

    One of the inaccuracies of the film is that Fritz was the one that sold to Jerry Jarrett, and it was Kevin who tried to stop it.

    Gino Hernandez who was in the tag team with Bruiser Brody also died tragically at an early age. He died at the age of 28 to a cocaine overdose.

    I still can’t get over how dirty they did Ric Flair. Amazing movie. Lol just did they hire their buddy who did impressions of Ric when he was in the 8th grade? Lol

    Kevin said the thing he didn't like about the film was how his father was portrayed. He understood from a movie perspective that they needed an antagonist of some sort to help the story, but he really blames the deaths of his brothers on their drug use. Except for David who died from the illness. He describes his dad as a "decent and honorable man."
    Now if he's saying that because that's his dad or if he's just a forgiving person I don't know, but Kevin would have every reason to hate his father and if he did blame him for what happened I don't think he would defend him in any way.

    • @iamlinda100
      @iamlinda100 4 месяца назад

      Kevin is all about family and forgiveness, I think no matter how bad things got or how toxic his father was, he will always love his family, even if he blames his father, I don't see him as the kind of person who would publicly condemn or shame his father, he seems like a very loving and forgiving person. No one would blame him if he publicly shames his father and blame him for his brothers deaths, but no matter how bad things got it's clear that deep down he still loves his father. Kevin is every bit the family man who loves and takes care of his family, he did exactly what he set out to do, he bought a ranch and all of his kids and grandkids live with him.

    What is even sadder is that Kevin actually lost five brothers. The film only showed or talked about the deaths of Mike, David, Kerry and Jackie Jr. There was also a fifth brother, the youngest Chris who killed himself just like Kerry. This movie was very good but hard to watch for me as well.

    The condensed the timelines quite a bit for the movie. Kerry lost the belt back to Ric Flair only 18 days after he won it. He was never going to have a long title run as the NWA didn't trust him, because Kerry had missed some shows, he was booked on due to his drug use prior to winning the belt. He didn't get into the accident where he lost his foot until like 2 years later.
