  • In this tutorial, I'll be showing you how I use velcro rollers to get more volume in my hair specifically right after I've round-brushed it dry.
One of my most frequently asked questions is how I get volume in my hair. I've addressed this question in my other hair tutorials (be sure to check them out!) but wanted to dedicate an entire video to using velcro rollers. I think they can make such a difference in not only achieving more volume but also styling your hair!
Be sure to check out the blog post for this tutorial as well - it has additional information you might find helpful!

Velcro rollers are very helpful. They save your hair from extra hot tools. I sometimes use them after I shampoo, and let my hair dry while I am working in the house. My hair stays healthy and I get compliments.

I dont get it. U using them after shampoo then use your rollers until your hair gets dry?

And your hair already has so much volume before the rollers 😍

If you brush then put the roller on and put the diffuser attachment on your blow dryer it's a lot easier and you'll get the same results

I have super fine hair that won't do that for nothing. I'm new to this whole round brushing thing, so i bought the Velcro rollers also. I've only used them once, took them out and my hair fell flat. My hair is a few inches longer than yours, just so fine.

luv2garden1 Hi, i saw your comment so i thought sharing this tip have you tried using henna? It actually helps a little to change your hair texture a little and also shift to natural shampoo they help too. But i don't promise something dramatic and also use few time to see the change in your hair.

Good tip! My hair is like yours & i use loads od spray dry shampoo and the hair powder (any good brand but avoid TALC) liberally & it will usually stay voluminous & I then often use a lot of firm hold hair spray. Don’t use a brush on the curls just gently finger brush. This is the Texas girl big hair way. Yankees may not like all the product. Lol! Oh & I oftrn use firm hold setting lotion right before putting in the curlers. My Texas cousin always says, “I MAKE my hair do what I want it to.” Now I live by that! (Also it’s in the Bible. Lol!) ♥️♥️💋🙋‍♀️

I have tried to use the big sexy hair powder, and it feels sticky after I apply it. I do not use alot, and when I do use my fingers to move the roots around like you do, that is when It really feels sticky! I have stopped using it. Any advise will help.

My mom would leave mine in over night when I was little, so I would have really curly hair. Now I'm trying to do it and I couldn't get it to stick, I couldn't find bobby pins to help it stick, so I'm using paper clips.

Very good tutorial! Helpful & I like to know about spraying & the powder because I also really like the grit & volume of it. But unlike me you seem to have a good cut & super thick hair which I don’t have. 🥲 Hope you still see comments after 4 yrs. Tyvm!
