    ABOUT ME
    Hey guys! I am a Canadian beauty "guru" - lol not really. I just love makeup, hair, fashion, design.. and I enjoy documenting these things. I'm not a false-eyelash, perfect nails, hair extensions kind of girl. My channel is for the everyday person - the lazy person, the person who colours their hair crazy colours once in a while, the person who has a budget and can't afford tons of expensive shit, the person who skips steps in the stereotypical beauty routine. This channel is evolving into something I'm really proud of. Join the fun, subscribe if you want, and we can be everyday people together. Y'know, if you like that kinda thing.

    I remember EVERY night my mom would put her small pink rollers with the plastic covers clip things in. How she slept all night with those things in is beyond me lol

      Rolling downward works better for people with curtain bangs! Gives them more shape!

    I am 66 and have been using velcro rollers wrong for 50 years trying to get more volume at the hairline😅. Thank you, your technique works!

    I have been doing it the incorrect way for a long time & completely steered clear of rollers because I could never get the look I desired. I really appreciate the tips you gave & going to give it another shot 😊. Thanks so much!

    i think that tip about pulling hair forward could make all the difference. maybe that is what i have been doing wrong forever!!! thank you. I am will probably also try adding rollers on the side as you suggested.

    like how you explained this! I also appreciate that you didn't overcomplicate it with a bunch of different products and tools :) do you know if this would work on super long hair? i've always wanted to try rollers but i'm afraid my hair is too long/thick for it to work ... if anyone has any experience i'd appreciate some advice!

      jennananabatman I think it would work if you took thinner sections and clipped them in place :)

      Im not sure if it will work but maybe try and spray it with a detangling spray before hand? Like the Eva nyc primer spray I love that one

    Girl how is your hair getting so long so fast?! I feel like I just saw you with shoulder length hair. I'm so frustrated with mine not growing and I could've sworn dying your hair damages it and doesn't allow it to grow. I waited 10 months and didn't dye it, rarely used heat and still hardly any growth. Yours is so beautiful!

    Idk if you’ll see this cause it was posted 6 years ago, but do you Bobby pin the roller in place or something? How do you get it to stay while you’re doing other things? :O

      Dhivya Murugesan fall out is normal, I wouldn’t be too concerned. Just be gentle with your hair and don’t pull on it too muh

    I love the colour of your hair in this video, are you still colouring it yourself? I wasn't sure If you'd had highlights because the root blends really well and looks so nice. I was thinking of going blonde myself and I think my natural colour is similar to yours but I don't want an obvious line where it grows out, I really like how yours look though, any tips?

    • @somegirljesskent
      @somegirljesskent  7 лет назад

      Poppy Toward balayage or babylights! Or highlights with a root smudge. I had solid bleach blonde first which I had done myself, and then I added a shadow root (and then had a salon touch up). And then I had babylights on top to blend it all together

    Do you have any product in your hair? I'm not a fan of hairspray either but I'm not sure my hair would hold the shape without product of some sort.

    • @somegirljesskent
      @somegirljesskent  7 лет назад +1

      I didn't use any on myself but I do say that after you put them in, you can apply heat or hair spray to help "set" them :)
