100% agree..... now I don't particularly think anyone that spends money on them are stupid. I also do not feel bad for them because they know going in that the chances they are going to make their money back or make a profit are about as good as them winning the Powerball lottery. And yes I do think the hobby has turned into a gambler's Paradise over collectors but again each individual person is responsible for knowing how much they can spend and the people that are all concerned about it are the ones who are afraid of regulations which means it's going to cut into their profits. Because I can guarantee you Fanatics is not worried about regulations whatsoever it's the middle man flippers.
$50 total if that. Paolo monopoly is a rc but a lesser card, the rest are just not worth the cost of slabbing. They may comp out at $200 but you can’t get anywhere near that. These are $1 to $5 raw base cards.

The Patty Mahomes getting graded by someone who pc's him is fine but to grade that card for the purposes of throwing it into a repack product is scummy and it's on the increase. The 'best' example of this garbage I can think of was a 2018 Topps Chrome base card of Tim Beckham in a PSA9 which was the bonus 'hit' in a repack product that was opened by Jabs family.
Repacks are a fad that we will all laugh about in 20 years.

Ww have a vending nachine in the mall here that sells all blasters and some packs of sports, pokemon, lorcanna, magic and maybe another type. All sealed though.

You can't tell me Topps did spend their advertisement money on putting over priced cards on the market then buying set cards to drive the market up and demand for set years/boxes or packs.
This is like those old coin op vending machines that were loaded with 91 Donruss commons. These machines should only be HOFers, Current stars and Rookie. At $100 a pack, card should have to be a minimum of $30 and needs to be a liquid player.

I really had hope the hobby was going to get better over the last few yrs. Looks as though I couldn't have been more wrong. Talk about hobby burnout. Product prices way to high and printing to the moon. Hobby is getting worse than ever fast!

Feels like they're testing how little they can put in these machines and still sell the packs. Clearly they don't want repeat customers or even novice collectors - they want the random person to take their slot machine machine money and use it here instead.
