Same here. Been my favorite band since Day 1 and always will be. Just drove from New Orleans to Memphis last weekend to catch them since they couldn't get a venue in N.O. this year. Some VIP'S overheard us saying we drove 5 hours for the show, next thing we know Phil was outside with us taking pics and thanking us for coming. Not to mention the show was absolutely lights out. Faster Pussycat and LA Guns blew that place up. Love these guys
Phil's voice has really stood the test of time. That's really rare because most of the vocalists that came out of the 80's fried their voices and can't do it anymore.
Go tracii guns!!!!!! Guitar playing was on fire on point!! And Phil Lewis was a diamond on mic! Why havent these guys got into rock hall of fame or a Grammy or gone platinum more or something. L.a.guns deserves awards! Metal artists of the millennium I say! Give these guys there trophies! Hell give them a official l.a.guns day!!
They are pretty much the Kings of the Whiskey? At least Tracci is. He has probably played there more than any one ever. He isn't making a bad living. Beats digging ditches and pays more than well.
Tight, tight. Man these guys sound phenomenal here. And it must have been a great house mix because even from a phone the audio sounds very well balanced. They've lost exactly zero skills and abilities since that first album. The recent records kill as well. So few bands that have been active for 35 years can claim that. A double bill with LAG and Stryper would be an incredible evening, and a tour with those two together would show the world how rock and roll is done proper.

Thank you for posting this. These guys were very influential to me. Tracii inspired me to pick up a guitar and learn "cry no more".. I would play it over and over because the melody was so mesmerizing...
These guys should be headlining the Forum in L.A. not the Whiskey. Half of fame is due to luck and I think they prove this. So much talent, but very little luck. Thanks for posting this.. :)
I couldn't agree more with the luck part LA Guns were half of GNR back in the day, probably more the attitude of Tracy heard stories he's not the easiest to deal with
Song at 1805 that guitar riff ! Absolutely amazing!! Beautiful! Amazing musicians. I love this! True musicianship good band I can see the happiness these guys have it resonates in the music . Pure joy can sense it! God bless this band! I pray for these guys everyday! Fan forever!
I have enjoyed this live video so many times. I like to listen to it when I’m waking up and getting things done before work. Great performance’ dudes! 🎼🎵🎶🎵
...Sounding good!! yeah we saw LA GUNS a time or two at the yearly Rainbow Hollywood Parking Lot Block Party Anniversary bash ...Great event! highly recommended ....... Many headliner groups play like Great White, KIX, Bitch, London , Dokken,, Leatherwolf, Bulletboys, Tuff, Quiet Riot, Sweet, Steven Pearcy of RATT and most recently Adler's excellent "Guns again" band! . .....Nightrain was awesome! Dokken was a fave too.....Breaking The Chains! Fave MTV bands shred all day ! ....Outside on a pro stage It's hot, dry, and crowded ....but great fun! We had some pizza on the patio with some former bandmates and the whole day is an epic blast! Easily the Best rock event in Hollywood these days...along with the much more expensive SSMF Sunset Strip Music Fest ..looking forward to seeing LA Guns rock out again!
IMO the last of the sunset strip rock n roll. There are others but these guys still kept the style and sound good. Hollywood forever best rock album of the last 10 years
love LA Guns. They could defiantly sell out a big arena instead of these small fairs and venues. Phil's voice is still amazing. I've seen them multiple times. Never disappointed
@FloodyBoy Randal yeah but Phil sang in a band w/ Phil back in the late 70s early 80's called Girl.. there is a connection.. And Tracii has played w/ Rikki from Poison in a side band, Tracii also played w/ Nikki in Brides of Destruction and LA Guns has opened for Poison a few times they're good friends. CC and Tracii are close. Lots of connections w/ that line up, LA Guns would have been way better opener than Joan Jett
That first album was lights out! The first tour I saw them in an arena opening for Def Leppard and they played like escape convicts on the run! The whole arena was singing!!! I was hooked. Welcome to the club.

Phil vocals are so fucking amazing. He hasn’t lost a bit. Got to see them.
...right back to the old bands Girl and Tormé, he still sounds just as good now.
Another beautiful underrated group of performers who survived the tragic outcomes of misused management and corporate greed. Forever a fan . 💘 always.

being dysfunctional addicts doesn't help either :-)
The Whiskey is a great venue.
They are the MC 5 of the late 1980's for better and for worse.
I couldn't agree more with the luck part LA Guns were half of GNR back in the day, probably more the attitude of Tracy heard stories he's not the easiest to deal with
I cant afford to pay over $100 at the forum. I miss a lot of shows being poor af.
Dude, Phil Lewis sounds GREAT
For 62 he looks amazing too he's never aged.. must be a Hollywood Vampire
