Saw them in Seattle on this tour. i was dead in front of stage and amazing view of Phil's belly! LOL. Johnny had the most energy, not to say that the whole band wasn't kicking ass, they did. He was the only one to stop and talk with me for 5 min after the meet and greet pictures.
I WAS NEVER A FAN, BECAUSE OF THE EARLIER STUFF BUT MAN...I REALLY DIG THE SINGERS VOICE!! THIS IS THE BEST THIS BAND EVER SOUNDED.....NOT REALLY A FAN OF TRACI GUNS...PRETTY EASY STUFF BUT THE EFFORT IS THERE. GOOD JOB AGAIN THE NEW STUFF IS ACTUALLY MUCH BETTER THAN IT WAS BACK IN THE DAY...YOU ALWAYS HEAR BANDS ON THEIR LATEST RECORD SAY "THIS IS THE BEST RECORD WE HAVE EVER DONE" YEAH, OK...BUT IN THE CASE OF THESE GUYS...ITS TRUE.
It is about time Colorado Springs Colorado had a venue like this. I remember drinking 3.2 beer at 18 years old, legally! at DJ's night club, live music 7 nights a week. Then it was only the gardens after 21. That was it...some came and went like rack n roll, but all had very short lives. Plus the Broadmore, and AirForce Acadamy, Pikes peak Center, Those places probably renamed after all these years. For most shows, it was a ride to Denver though, The only place I ever been with traffic that can be compared to the bay area.
Show sounded like hits from the start to the end to me. I know the whole catalog I guess. I was suppose to go to this show. Something came up and I dont remember what the hell it was but I won’t let that happen again if you guys come back. Colorado Springs ROCK!
Gravel opened for faster pussycat down the street. They had a whopper crowd of 4 people. Everyone commented on how bad Gravel sucked......they commented that the bass sounded out of tune and flubby
