Id like to have 1. I will say I had a BC Rich Mockingbird and without a pedal was the best sounding guitar I'd ever heard. I was shocked it sounded so good and I've had alot of guitars come and go. I hated to resale it. Still thinking about it 2 yrs later I know I made a mistake
Love L.A. Guns, seen them tour with Faster Pussycat, and Dangerous Toyz back in 80s. Was one of best concerts I had ever been to, and I went to hundreds in 80s.
Jan 1988, I was at the Short Hills Mall in NJ and bought LA Guns debut LP .. I was sitting near the giant globe fountain, and two girls sit down next to me and ask what album I was looking at .. it lasted about 10 min, but that probably the best relationship I ever had .. Best of times, long live rock and roll .. THANKS for the upload
I went to that same record store, Record Town. I’m going to bed. It’s not there anymore. I’m going to bet. It’s been 20 years since I’ve been to that mall.
I saw them at Fitzgerald's in Houston around 88', they killed it in that club..! Had everyone jumping, screaming, and going absolutely #*@!&! crazy..!!!
Setlist: Tokyo Shibuya Theater No Mercy Hollywood Tease (Girl cover) Shoot for Thrills (Sweet Pain cover) One Way Ticket Rip and Tear Bitch Is Back Down in the City Rock Candy (Montrose cover) Guitar Solo Electric Gypsy Walk All Over You (AC/DC cover) One More Reason Nothing to Lose Sex Action Mystery Train (Little Junior’s Blue Flames cover)
Saw them open for ACDC back in '91 they slayed! We met phil and Steve in West Edmonton mall when we were buying tix for the show. AH memories...so many fucking concerts. Seemed there was at least one a month sometimes more and for Western Canada that is lots
Got to see them in early 88 at the thirsty whale near Chicago, tiny stage and room, shoulder to shoulder and louder than anything I'd heard. One of the crew saw me taking pictures with my disposable camera above my head, but instead of confiscating it he took a bunch of pics cuz he had a better view and gave it back to me.
I remember them opening for Kiss on this tour. The Kiss fans sadly treated them like crap, but they were probably sad seeing Kiss in Sunrise Musical Center, FL, which may as well have been a high school gym haha. Kiss was at a high point :) Guns ROCKED IT!!!!
I went to see their concert on 8/22/2002 (Nation) Washington DC with this line up (in order): L.A Guns, Firehouse, Warrant, Ratt, Dokken. L.A Guns was much better than the other band that night (except Dokken which was the headliner band). I've been to many concerts and this was one of the best concert I've been to along with The Sex Pistols concert, Cinderella and Iron Maiden.
I love LA Guns with all my heart but c'mon... nothing touches G'n'R at their best (i.e. Appetite). Unlike Guns that looked like half the glam bands out there G'n'R stuck out with more personality which made them stand out, unique vocals and most importantly I think, songs that females could appreciate.
Traci was a great glam guitarist similar to the sound of the time mick mars ,Greg Lipton ,Ce ce deville etc ,Slash was different gravy more Bluesy with a metal edge couldn’t see anyone else fronting GNR to be honest 🤟🏻🤟🏻
cant argue with that. GNR: one spectacular CD...and lots of filler. .....LA GUNS 3 really good CDS. 2 solid CDs and the rest are above average...except for the American HARDCORE nonsense. so year LA GUNS > GNR
What a Band , i love phil and tracy till today .
The energy, the voices, the sound, the playing of the instruments, everything comes together perfectly to make L.A. Guns a great band.
Wore out that first album cassette.....could not stop playing it...front to back.....what memories
What album? I'm new to 80s metal
