Literally the only fire starter Pokémon that Ash has that didn’t have a tragic story is Cyndaquil

While an all star team steam rolling every gym on the first time isn’t very compelling, I think a series highlighting ash’s 7 generations of battling experience would make a cool shounen style show. One thing I would have loved to see would be Ash suddenly finding himself in a battle (whether a chance encounter or in a league or tournament) with Damian, defeating him using the so-called "weak" Charmander that was now the powerhouse Charizard, I can just imagine him sweeping Damiens whole team on it's own one by one with damien becoming more and more frustrated/amazed/scared/wondering what he was thinking when he abandoned it, finally after finishing his last pokemon with a seismic toss that hits like a WWII Tallboy bomb he takes one look at damien draws in his breath as if to flamethrower his ass into cinders and just as damien is about to soil himself charry turns his back as if to say "no the sumbich ain't worth wasting my fire on" (much like paul and Infernape)
