I went thru the ramble at night my first time in NYC because I didn’t know any better. Saw a few people just standing in the dark but it didn’t make me fearful. They’re just homeless and Central Park is a safe place for them to go at night.
@@TheOtherDoughnut I experienced the same thing in Central Park. My friends and I kept walking around as it got dark then we noticed a shift in the area. We didn’t here anymore kids laughing or see couples going around just figures we’d find standing still…not doing anything. It was creepy for sure but I can’t say we ever felt in danger. This was pre-pandemic and the memory only came up from watching this video. I wouldn’t mind going back and seeing how it is now but definitely not alone haha.
@@Brunomgonzalez yeah I think creepy is the right word. I had a knife on me and had two friends with me too so I didn’t feel unsafe but they were as you said, standing still in the middle of a path in pitch black darkness. Creepy as hell
When I visited nyc last summer sweet to the ramble at Central Park, with sunset is ok, o lot of people walking a lot movement nice people to have fun later should take care because there are lot of crazy people in New York City.
that shit is not cool..l've been in peidmont park in Brooklyn at night and you cant see shit it stops being fun w/you are more concerned about your getting out there alive!!!!!
I was in Central park the night before, trying to find the darkest place in NYC to try out my new thermal imager. I stumbled upon this side of the park and became curious of the random men walking around in near complete darkness. Later that night I watched Actionkids video on youtube where he was walking the ramble at night and was angrily told to turn off his flashlight. Thats when I decided to return the following night to make a video of the ramble with my thermal imager.
Most of the guys there at night are cruising. That said, it's DANGEROUS to go to the Ramble at night. I avoid it cause you never know exactly where you are in there.
Yes, until 1am for the most part. This area is the worst part of the park for sketchy behavior though, and it's generally NOT safe to enter Central Park at night.
plot twist... there are around 20 men behind this guy with live ammo ready to engage
A bunch of NPC just walking around looking like bad henchmen
I wouldn't go into Central Park at night unless I was part of a mechanized infantry brigade.
the park is fine, but the ramble nah

If you cannot see 10 feet in front of you, it's no longer an adventure. It's a rescue mission.

Thanks for letting me know. It doesn't look like a safe spot. Any other cruising spot in NYC?
