Currently an 8th grader I plan on Taking these classes in high school, AP Human Geo, Pre-AP Eng 1, Geometry Honors, Biology Honors, Spanish 1, Pysch 1 & 2, & Journalism (might be changing)
I’m taking the IB and in my group 6 course, I can’t decide between SL physics or SL drama. I want to major in compsci or eco, and am not necessarily going to pursue a path in drama, but I really think that I will enjoy it and don’t really want to do physics, especially because I think that the IB is stressful enough and taking an easier course like SL drama will free up some time for me to pursue more ECs. What do you suggest I do?
To everyone reading this in the future, remember that life should not always be about preparing for the future. If your eyes are on the horizon you won’t see the beauty around you. Remember to have fun and if you think something going to make you happy, do it! Happiness and relaxation is always a good reason to do something. Even if you dont pursue a career in for example drama, but its your favorite hobby and you need to relaxation, then thats reason enough to do it
Hi, as far as I know Middle School electives will not transfer over to High School electives. For instance Intro to microsoft in middle schools will not count as a technical credit in high school. So you would have to redo intro to microsoft in highschool in order to get the credit for it. Same goes for all subjects unless your talking about advanced math, in which the credit can transfer over, ie. taking algebra 1 in 8th grade will give you one extra math credit while in middle school. Hope this helps!
Depends, if your taking an high school credit class then it will go to your transcript & count as one of your elective credits; though it will not help with college.
rigor is essentially the pace of how the class goes over material and how in depth the material is. for example a unit from a regular history class could teach about the formation of a state very briefly compared to a more rigorous course which might high light the battles which formed the state. regular classes are less rigorous compared to honors and ap classes.
What are 3 classes that will help you get accepted into your dream Ivy League/Top-Tier school?
AP Bio, AP Chem, and Chem Honors?
ALL APS

I suggest taking Physics SL. There is really no need to take Drama.
