1. You were probably using too much range of motion, train the range of motion of the muscle not the joint, like in bench you dont necessarily have to touch your chest, i dont now and no longer have shoulder pain. 2. If you were lifting like 3 to 1 rep maxes then yeah that will beat your body up and the risk of injury is too damn high. Its also never what gets people to their current strength. Ive found since i don't actually care so much how much weight im lifting ive actually gotten way stronger without injury and actually healing old ones. Not being able to move correctly and being in pain constantly just isnt worth the bragging rights of saying you lifted something once.
The last one is the reason I NEVER do a PR. All I care about how much weight I can move dozen times not once. OMG the freaking shoulder will give me nightmares. Best before workout motivational video ever! I´m scared now. 😅

Your shoes are not supposed to protect your feet from weights. Your not supposed to drop weights onto your feet. I don't know why lifting without shoes would be seen as a flex
Well yeah, the 2mm of material didn't make a difference, you broke your foot anyway. They're pretty much only going to keep you from getting cut or scraped, not going to do jack if you drop a barbell on yourself. I'm more concerned about the 3cm of lift the shoe is giving me and screwing up my form when I go heavy. I'd rather have a solid foundation barefoot than a false sense of security from a shoe.
im not a crossfitter. i will say it dont matter how much it cost. all that matters is you enjoy yourself and stay Physically Active. Unlike people that's probably never worked out a day in their life sitting at a computer desk and chair making videos hating on them

Well i hate crossfit but they say it's functional. The goal of a muscle up is to get there. This way you get there. Almost all exercises are to get to the end goal of the hard way. So i see the point. It's no feat of strength though

I used to try to lift super heavy but now I really don’t see the point. I enjoy not having joint pain. I just want to look good and be healthy.
