Everytime I do a sketchup related "how to _____" research I come up with one of your videos and it's amazing how you always cover everything I need. You have no idea how many times you saved my life. Thank you so, so much.
Thanks for your great tutorial. i have a question about exporting this model with uv mapped to another 3d program. when i export it to Cinema4d as .obj file, it created textures for each single faces. i was expecting it will create only 1 texture for the model. is there anyway to solve this. i thinks it splits the main texture for each faces and export it like this. Thank you very much
Hello sir. Can I ask for help? I need to put material in a circular road or a rotunda. The material must be radiating towards the center of the circle. How can I do that? Thank you in advance.
@@Thesketchupessentials thank you very much for all your tutorials they really help me with work. By far the best tutorials we can find on RUclips! Greeting from France :)
well when u exporting into 3ds there is an option to make camera from pages BUT it generating only one camera from active scene AND it is not the same camera like u have in SU ...this is my experience but i am noob in SU ....
Another good tutorial by SU Pro, thank you! I've tested just as showed in your tutorial but when I export the object as *.DAE or *.OBJ with textures, SU creates too many textures. Model is good, problem is textures! Well, Is there a way to export model with only one texture?
Caused by UVW distortion (the yellow pin when mapping the texture). I created a plugin (2nibble tools) that shows you the distorted faces to fix it manually (I don't know how to fix it automatically by plugin).
Thanks for sharing. Great technique. I tried various bending tools and the road texture does not map properly. But although the method get the desired result, it looked time consuming. Probably better to use instant road. Alternatively, roads can be pieced together, mechano-style from 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/9ee028ee-2558-411c-a441-23727a70a3e3/road-props

Do the textures map properly if you use instant road? I haven't had a chance to try that one yet
does it work in Lumion?
Useful..thankyou

what is the name of plugin?
I did it , but when i rendered it with vray, the texture didnt change,Do you have any idea how to fix this?
Make sure it's applied directly to the face
Why does the texture look good in the sketcup but when mapping with vray the mapping is modified?
No idea
freedo cannot download plz help
Not enough info to help
OK, now try to do it without plugins. :/
....Why?
TheSketchUpEssentials Because a software in that price category should be able to do it out of the box.
