Until I started ACTUALLY pushing towards mutations for my thing, did I understand just how long it actually takes to get mutations in this game.
its like a 7% chance. the main problem is getting the mutations you want
You can increase your odds significantly by having more females.
Especially with official rates or if you play on a server.. Truly painful but you manage
I am a madman and my mutated creatures mate with 150 perfect female, it doesn't take that long.
Doing tek rexes atm on unofficial, 2 groups of 40 breeding constantly is a thing of beauty
The reason the fjordhawk is doing it's non invulnerable thing is because the snow owl heal is technically an attack so it's trying to not take damage even though the attack heals
And you see the Fjordhawk invulnreble icon dissapearing in the bottom.
Spider Ham is an actual marvel hero name.

The little explosion thing at 22:15 is from the fjordhawk. The wild ones do it when you hit them for the first time after you start the taming process i think but i dont know why it happens on the snow owl

Can I thank you for keeping Ark exciting Syntac? Been going through a lot of burnout with games recently, so I decided I would finally try to beat Ark the on the island, and Im currently almost halfway to my fully mutated spinos, 17/20 health found, gonna work on 20 melee after, I still dont know how you manage to decide on colours as I have 2 colour schemes I want to make :/

The blue strips from the first female baby was really nice looking. As for that last region that didn't get painted, that could of been the top part of the barrels armor since it didn't show the turret in the paints screen. Amazing video by the way, and thank you for explaining mutations in ur other videos I've been struggling to get a grip on how it worked.

The little air burst effect when you started healing was from your fjordhawk. The first time it gets hit... Or apparently frozen, it breaks the fjordhawk invincibility shield instead of getting hit.

I really wanna see manta taming and mutations. Maybe in the cluster series. Although, a manta would be awesome for getting around water areas quickly. The sad thing is, I don't even know if they can be tamed, let alone if you can breed them. I just remember see the manta races on the genesis map. I though it would be kind of interesting to breed mantas with health and speed mutations.
You can tame them for sure, not sure about breeding thought
Syntac, if you dont want the auto-turret to take all the Advanced rifle bullets in the ammo box, but you do want it to take what it needs in bullets, go to the ammo box. there is a setting where you can set it to only fill the turret to 5%, so it has ammo but it is in the ammo box :D
im pretty sure its to add like camo patters and stuff with the paintbrush (like they did in the showcase)

@Syntac Your my kind of player my dude. The Andrewsarchus is the hardest tame in Ark and that is a FACT!
The hawk is what causes that circular combustion I’ve noticed it happens when it gets damaged. If it’s hit while taming it makes that combustion but no damage it done to the hawk same when tamed.
Not sure if you know this, but something I have noticed with my own gameplay is that when you attack an alpha megalodon or alpha water creatures in general, it’s almost like eating a rare flower. Everything in every direction that is close by begins to come for you.
