CBC Front Page Challenge 1986: Guest panelist, Harry Brown, guest announcer, Karl Wells

During Karl Wells’s CBC TV career, as on-air staff, he was called upon to work on many programs. Some of the shows were national productions. Sometimes, only his voice was required; for example, he was the “mystery headline announcer” on several editions of Front Page Challenge. Here’s one from 1986. It features, Harry Brown, as a guest panelist. The stories are: the Gander Arrow Air tragedy and the publication of Joseph R. Smallwood’s Encyclopedia of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Interesting about the reputation of Gander: now, that airport is one of the most famous and admired for helping the passengers of various planes grounded due to 9/11.
