- British Columbia Heat Event is fully charged and attaching us and our Orchids. What I am doing to keep the Orchids Healthy and Happy.

We are under terrible heat Dome, just to Hot Was 101 in shade today and in sun 140 never heard of such a thing. Everytime things fo up in space, punches little holes in ozone all over, think that just heats things up, It does repair itself but just does not get a chance. Love Carolyn

You handled the glitch very well. And you all are doing ok. 👍. The heat sure does a number to everything. And we wait for the warmth since winter. The orchids sure have good care and look lovely. The gazebo looks so pretty and calming. Your whole yard is beautiful. Lovely to see your mom and her doing her puzzle. We do them here also ,always family fun. Good to hear about keeping orchids happy with the terrible heat - but how do you stay looking so good while dealing with the heat.

It always amazes me that even though you are so far north from where I live yet it gets hot sooner there. It even gets hotter there than here. We are just beginning to endure temperatures in the 90s. My home is very well insulated so I put fans in the windows at night to bring in the cooler air and then close those windows in the morning to keep the place cool for most of the day. It does get kind of unbearable when it does not cool off much at night. I have a small AC in the bedroom but try not to use it too much. We just received another electricity rate hike again. I used to be able to have AC throughout the whole place but those days are gone.
Everything looks very nice around your home. Your repotted orchids are still looking beautiful. You have both done so much work on the yard. It looks lovely. Hopefully you will have a great harvest this fall.
I’m glad that you do not have to fight with that camera any. Hope this one lasts a long time.

So interesting! Here the temperature is 140 was concerned so hot out on patio, but cooler at night, not sure what to do, may have to bring them all in for a while, except think they are getting more humidity out there and cooler evenings????? Oh boy. We sit infront of swamp cooler at night. We do go to Gazebo evenings first as it gets shade earliest there and there is a fan that helps too. Keeping fountain going for birds, it is new to them but they here it and are starting to show up to drink. Things changing fast. Yes Hydro prices hard to take. Much Love will just have to wait and See Carolyn
Please please send some sunshine here. That’s a bit warmer and Wyndham rain not too hot but just nice and warm instead of being cold. Your plants will survive. They did last time. Fingers crossed for them catch very soon.❤
Would love to send some sun, way too Hot and everyday seems hotter. Yes they did but this is beating heat records over the past, time will tell I guess. Like the cooler air out there at night. and more humidity from the big humidifier so hard to say Love Carolyn

Wish you lots of rain and cool breezes. We just had a real Summer storm, but only for 10 min. When you take a break, from your projects, watch a video, which is called 'Just Onions! Orchids immediately grow on branches and bloom all..' There's English text, to translate the dialogue. I am not bothered, by baby orchids, or the ones which don't bloom. One day I will figure it out. My Belina has bloomed, with many flowers, since Springtime, to make up for the others. I wish that I could display them, as you have, but I have less room. I love the old Chinese vases etc. 😅

Maybe put a stylish shade cloth, over your whole property. There must be some Solar-powered cooling contraptions out there. Here the stores sold plastic sheets for windows, to reflect the Sun. Then the windows look like skyscraper windows. One neighbor applied aluminum foil, to the outside of his SW window. It was flapping, in the wind. 🍃😂

Just too much heat House stayed hot till 9 pm think the orchids best on patio it was well over 100 out there 140 in sun so it is Hot! They say more coming like that today. Orchid watering day, today putting outside and just water wash today. Love Carolyn
Really, you might want to extend your basement and let the corkids (cork orchids) live upstairs. You might want to build a climatized geodezic dome over your whole house. You truly have a great figure. Wow. Good nutrition shows, doesn't it? Have you ever tried chopped garlic clove and rice rinse water, or just garlic cloves, to revive dry roots, or are those RUclips fairytales? Hi to Jack and your lovely puzzling Mom. Hi to Maggie. Hope she has her own pool. 🌊🐶💦
If it gets any worse we may be down with Mom, she does not use her bed, as sleeps in recliner, she seems happier that way. We got her a bed that lifts her upper body to get out, but her legs prevent her getting comfortable. Love Carolyn
@@jacolynsorchids1361948friends Yup, survival is important. I wish you some rain, at least at night. We only had 31 degrees today. I walked my dog late, in the afternoon, under the shade of big, leafy trees. She was still too hot. You might have to spend your Summers, in England.
