- If you don't know much about Lake Palestine, just know that it is stumpy. If you don't know much about Texas, just know that it can get windy. Today, I have both of those conditions to contend with. Overall I had a pretty good practice and I am ready to put in some work to generate some bites. I don't expect the pace to be too quick so we are going to have to grind it out.

Losing those 6 is rough but hey you kept grinding. I also love this tournament format. The landing violations kinda stink but weighing and releasing right there is just awesome for the health of the fish.
What's the landing violation??
@@chapelcruz9623 The fish cannot touch the inside of the boat. Like when you see them shake themselves off and hit the carpet. Thats a landing violation and the angler has to sit for I think 2 minutes as a penalty.
Absolutely amazing to see MLF tournaments on the lake I grew up on. I live 10 minutes away from Palestine and I’ve personally pulled two 13 pounders out of the dam on the northern end of the lake.
DC you're the man and don't forget that! I would say don't look back but if you do you've been in the money every time just look forward to the next event and get ready son!
I love the behind the scenes and want all of it. Even if it's the prep of a tournament or the travels that take place such as leaving a gas station without paying. LOL!!!! Love the podcast so much. I wish you would do it everyday or more often. It is something I listen to while I'm at work and also when I'm not at work. Great knowledge and awesome listening to the stories you hold. I'd be willing to bet that you have so many awesome conversations that should be recorded but didn't. You should and "we the fans" want to hear it. We want to here the DC we know with all the humor. That's part of you and the channel. The realism and truthfulness behind it. Keep up the good work and keep filming for us who cannot be there. We support you my friend. Never fished on lake Palestine but beautiful lake though. I live about 35 or 40 minutes from lake Palestine. Did some bank and pier fishing off a lake limestone.

It is a pretty good boat honestly. I personally prefer the longer 21 footers but you could win a few tournaments in one.
I'm looking at a z20 but haven't been able to ride in a nitro to see how it did in rough water..thanks for the reply!

Why does MLF require you to use their boats for some tournaments?
League sponsorships and for TV. It is not much different than a cup event
You “lost 5” but that’s shallow water. Palestine, Tx. They’re on beds and the water is dirty. They’re probably just pushing your bait around.
They got the hook. The issue in shallow water is they can run at you.
